The companies requested the $57 million extension in May, in a precautionary step in case imports are needed....

Then in June came this....Frank Richards, AGDC President, commented: "This agreement solidifies the commercial foundation needed for the Phase 1 portion of Alaska LNG and provides enough pipeline-ready natural gas, at beneficial consumer rates, to resolve Southcentral Alaska's looming energy shortage as soon as 2029.

"Phasing Alaska LNG by leading with the construction of the pipeline will make Alaska LNG's export components more attractive to LNG developers and investors, and this agreement will help unlock the project's substantial economic, environmental, and energy security benefits for international markets as well as for Alaska. Today's announcement represents the culmination of the committed work of Pantheon and AGDC leaders and enhances the prospects of Alaska LNG in a way that benefits both the State of Alaska and Pantheon."

What uncertainties helpless? The only certainty is that consumers need a guaranteed supply of gas which Pantheon Resources will be supplying!!!!

Here's the problem (again).

If the Alaska legislature decide to back the import of gas and approve the pipeline, then Enstar will want assurances.

Nobody will invest $57 million without seeing a significant profit.

Any potential investor in the 800 mile pipeline, costing about $11 billion, will be concerned that the limited home market for North slope gas will make a return on a very large investment perilous.

And Hilcorp will still be producing gas in the Cook inlet.

So weigh up $57 million against $11 billion.

With all the uncertainties over oil and gas and the environment in Alaska, which would you go for?

Pantheon are making no decision until there is news of AGDCs ability to raise pre-FID funding of about $50-$150 million to take them up to FID for their pipeline in mid 2025.

What do you think is going to happen?

Yeah i get that there`s always strategy and a plan - but institutions will want there feast I reckon.. how ever they get the funding I`m looking to buy but would like to see this cleared up prior.. Which ever way would be great they just need to get it over with.
