Alkaid #2 was always designed as a production test well whose primary objective was to gather information to assist in understanding the productive capability of the reservoir and to assist in modelling and engineering future development scenarios and commerciality.

This is not what their 2022 presentations said. They highlighted production and revenue as the objectives just as much as gaining more direct knowledge of the subsurface.

kaos....its why they say clearly........ "BELIEVED"

They dont know and are covering themsevles so that if later its proven not a gas cap.....they are "safe".

pro - can they detect the different gas origins - dissolved vs straight from the gas cap directly

or by conclusion via condensates etc

Reading the notes........seems to me they are clearly still not sure if they fracked into a gas cap.

Also sounds to me like Alkaid SMD testing is not imminent, and may be well after any fund raise (or the farm out...ho ho ho).

.............It is believed that the Alkaid #2 well most likely fracked into a gas cap which resulted in a much higher gas oil ratio ("GOR") than encountered at the nearby Alkaid #1 well in the same reservoir. Analysis suggests that future wells should be drilled a little deeper to avoid the gas cap and thus should have the potential to produce a much improved GOR with a superior outcome. Alkaid #2 was always designed as a production test well whose primary objective was to gather information to assist in understanding the productive capability of the reservoir and to assist in modelling and engineering future development scenarios and commerciality. The decline rate at Alkaid #2 has provided sufficient data to accurately model well performance and given the significantly greater than expected gas production at Alkaid #2, likely as a result of the intercepted gas cap, Pantheon has elected to not apply to the State of Alaska for an extension of its gas flaring permit and thus has concluded its flow testing operations of the zone of interest at Alkaid #2. The wellbore will now be prepared for the future testing of the shallower shelf margin deltaic ("SMD") in the vertical section of the wellbore..........

Cor blimey, guv!

I don't pay much attention to Bollinger Bands.

Only for an indication that a big or quantum change in the share price is going to occur.

The current share price is moving into a tight band. As tight as it has been for a few years. Make your own mind up. But it is something shareholders need to be aware of. Up or down, you decide.

Be careful.

dissolved gas... vs straight gas ... considering pressures and sand structures
I get it

different drivers of oil in alkaid 1 and 2 answers my second question....

I appreciate

edit - it is so easy ... isnt it ... when qualified

Further they are flaring >400 boe gas+300 NGL and others. For 190bopd.Losing much more.long term than gaining short term.If the gas was everywhere up and down east and west it would be dissolved gas that would deplete over time. Think they have enough info (flow time) to discount that.

I'm trading around my short position, currently modest. Action on the SMD will be the next pump to sell into.

Well said the priest. I’d hoped kaos would have found that info out for himself through reading RNSs - to me that would have been simply the logical thing to do.

@kaos3 - let me answer your point about the cash generated from the Alkaid 2 well.

Be aware that they are only selling the crude oil from the well, NOT the condensates and NOT the NGLs. The reason that only the crude oil is being sold is because only the crude oil is being captured.

The condensate and NGLs are being flared at present. To capture them we would need condensing equipment for the condensate and refrigeration equipment for the NGLs which we don’t have.

If you adjust your number for the opportunity cost of not producing 180 bps of crude oil you come up with just over $2m - a worthwhile sum to be sure but we are going to have the not inconsiderable opportunity of testing the SMD.

Hope this helps.

The Priest

Cor blimey, guv!

Back by popular demand.

The bearish, ascending flag has just reformed with the 4 week moving average reaching the base of the flag. Though it has not started rising yet. The share price is very weak. The death cross is still around.

POS - that stands for probability of success not anything else btw

no - i am not an expert in your climate. i know what i know and also what i do not.

and i also know that simple logic works everywhere.

and that ridiculing and attacks promptly make me more sure in my thinking than before.

as it is avoidance and so it is weak

Hi Kaos - I live in quite a windy/exposed area and am struggling to get the right balance of shrubs and perennials that survive the winter and also are not attacked by the rabbits and deer in the spring, while maintaining a ‘cottage garden’ look. Is there anything you’d suggest?

In addition to the 6m trade payable warning by Pro

There will also be the cost of consultant reports, and lawyers fees needed for the farmout
None of which will come cheap and leave much small change for further Alkaid drilling

also - alkaid 2 - how can one know for sure that the gas they encountered is isolated.

just by comparison to alkaid 1 ....

maybe alkaid 1 was isolated ...

how does one know which one is the standard one ....

me being a gardener - such an argument does not make a rational sense
