Rage0270 - Do a comparisson with Swedish company Probi. They are similar to OPTI but we have much more valuable IP.

A similar valuation to Probi would give us a share price of £6.40

OPTI CEO "...The model is quite well-established and investors might want to look at Probi, who established similar models some years ago, they have sales currently of around about £25 million per year, they were last years's figures, and their valuation is about half a billion pounds but there are many similarities between ourselves and Probi in terms of their strains and the work they've done with their strains."

Risky, I find it hard to see it in terms other than of a disposal; until next Wednesday OPTI owns significantly the majority shareholding in its SKIN division. It is now hiving off the entirety of this sub-division; retaining a minority holding in the new out-of-house, independent entity. We no longer list a skin subdivision within our platform. Of course there is compensation for this disposal; it's the quantifying it that's puzzling some of us. I have little insight into corporate manoeuvrings - all I can see is that next week we wave goodbye to what may become the biggest earner - with c. 40% of profits coming home to roost.

First time poster here. Purchased few days ago. Was expecting some free Skin shares. A little disappointed no free Skin.Look like Skin may be valued around 10 mill. Must be good for OPTI

Some decent buying the last few days. share price should test 95p next week. Then possible new highs. Then it's game on. Year end target price for me is 160-180p

I don't think people understand this isn't a 'disposal' this is an investment by opti which since last year has gone up in value 6x. The share price will not be directly linked but if Optis holding in skin goes up by say £10m this should be reflected in Optis price in theory as opti has materialised value. Both share price will be sentiment driven therefore Optis price will either be exaggerated by the gain in skin or subdued. Seeing as we will get shares when skin is likely a higher share price it should be exaggerated effect on Optis share price sounds to me like opti be looking after our shares for a while until skin seriously gets going. We will soon find out!
