30/3/2017 15:38 | i can't either, possibly you will only be allowed a tiny amount and if it goes up early doors from whatever price it starts off on, they may well bring it down again, who knows | lukead
30/3/2017 15:32 | I can't see many/any being available myself | judijudi
30/3/2017 15:09 | I shall be buying as many as I can on Wednesday morning. | someuwin
30/3/2017 14:45 | looking that way raft boy, i don't think my finger will be on the buy button on Wednesday morning, as i originally had intended to do eventually and we will get to know the terms of the "special dividend" to us OPTI shareholders (at least, i think) | lukead
30/3/2017 14:21 | Seems to me this IPO is creating a great deal of interest and it may well prove difficult buying early on. Even then it seems likely any purchase may well be at a good premium to the float price. I think I will just top up with OPTI as no doubt we will benefit from the rising share price in Skin anyway. | rafboy
30/3/2017 14:21 | I imagine the generosity of the 'in specie' share offer to OPTI shareholders will be proportional to the performance of SKIN shares in months after IPO. So, if SKIN soars and its impossible to get in cheap, we may be comforted by getting more SKIN shares via the 'in specie' dividend. Only wild speculation, as they say. | luminoso
30/3/2017 14:12 | Of course ironman, how could it be different? The market opens 8am on the 5th. Just try getting any in any quantity! | elrico
30/3/2017 14:05 | Just to clarify my post as their seems to be some confusion. The IPO is not open to retail investors but SKIN shares wil be available to PI's as soon as it lists and starts trading on AIM. | ironman22
30/3/2017 14:02 | Rights issues are expensive and long-winded...much better to buy OPTI. The question is...what will the record date be for the in specie dividend? M | marnewton
30/3/2017 14:01 | I cannot see how there will be any SKIN shares available in any quantity. I commented before, there will be just 30% of the issued share capital used for the IPO raising 4.5m, the largest fundraising since OPTI IPO, this should give you a clue about SKIN progress. Almost 15% will be in Seneca hands, the remainder, who knows where. In any case, there is a lock in period of 12 months to prevent flipping for a quick buck. We as OPTI shareholder will get our due in due course. If you think about it, given the very illiquid nature of SKIN, you'll probably be paying a substantial premium to your free shares, so why concern yourself with paying a premium early doors! Anyone selling down their OPTI share so with a view of buy SKIN on the 5th will rue that maneuver because they won't get SKIN and probably pay a premium for the OPTI shares thereafter. | elrico
30/3/2017 14:01 | ^True RiskyBusiness1 but share price has risen c20% in last couple of weeks which has added more than proposed £10m initial market cap of SKIN so further upside for that business element seems limited (to me). I'm holding onto my shares just in case we do get some freebies but think that's unlikely. | rollthedice
30/3/2017 13:56 | Roll dice - that won't be the case if skin doubles in first few weeks | riskybusiness1
30/3/2017 13:55 | You on the psychedelics again, Diamond ? :-) | luminoso
30/3/2017 13:55 | It's likely current Opti holders are not allowed to partake in the ipo as skin is supposed to act as an independent entity. By allowing Opti holders preferential would most likely cause problems getting this to market and raise questions on its independence from opti and concert party regs.Soh has said at some point in time the shares will be given out in specie proportional amount to Opti holders. The more you own in opti the more you own in skin. This has only been done to benefit opti. The float in skin is like 27% so will be able to buy on the open market. Institutions will be involved in the £4.5m cash raise. You'll need a good mix of pis iis and high net worths for s successful ipo. If pis were not allowed to buy the share price would not move. | riskybusiness1
30/3/2017 13:54 | If existing shareholders are neither being invited to participate in IPO or receiving free SKIN shares then share price rise over recent days probably adequately reflects value of SKIN stake post flotation so whats the point of racing to buy more? Surely share price more likely to drift for a while before commercialisation news. | rollthedice
30/3/2017 13:54 | Good news coming, Marvin Gay. | diamond fibre
30/3/2017 13:51 | Thanks for comfort note,Some. Don't want to come across as greedy or grabbing; happy as the next guy to share. What's hard to fathom is that we are making a disposal next week yet we know little of what's afoot. All will be revealed and, yes, my expectation is that it's a win-win situation; just that some (conceivably 3rd. parties at this point) are getting in on ground floor of an ipo - but now I'm repeating myself, and in ignorance, at that! OK relax, it is. | owenmo
30/3/2017 13:47 | have to admit I agree ... hold quite a few opti and would have liked opportunity to buy some skin at same level as new entrants rather than open market. appreciate that opti will have a substantial holding bit really think existing holders should have chance to participate ... especially if eis which suspect there is for new holders. hey ho such is life on aim. cracking company though. | meganxmas
30/3/2017 13:33 | Owenmo I am with you on this one tbh. I think we should have been offered the chance to participate in the IPO if we aren't gonna get free shares or warrants or something. Yes as shareholders of Opti we will own 43%ish of SKIN or whatever it will be called. At the moment however we hold 100% albeit of a smaller overall valuation. | bernieboy
30/3/2017 13:30 | Relax owen - this is a great deal for everyone. | someuwin
30/3/2017 13:28 | So were going to market with 57% of the intellectual property and patents embedded in our OPTI skin initiatives - at an ipo discounted price to 3rd. parties and all the while we, the holders currently of 71% of the parent company, stand idly by - awaiting our turn to access the new issue, if we're of a mind so to do, (and yes I know we will own 43% of the spin-off)at (presumably) a handsomely enhanced market price - triggering a very tidy profit for the privileged IPO investors. Do we not merit some of this icing? Riddle me that someone (or someuwin) please. Is this going to be the pattern of the other OPTI platform hive-offs?; surely dilution by another name or am I missing something? | owenmo
30/3/2017 13:27 | BernieBoy, yes just seen, thanks. | rafboy
30/3/2017 13:26 | Parob, now that would be nice if true. Also should see further buying into OPTI ahead of the IPO. | rafboy
30/3/2017 13:26 | Raf, Luminoso has answered for me.... | bernieboy
30/3/2017 13:21 | 2011Revolution on LSE chat just now: Just seen this on TW site:Tom, are you taking place in the skin IPO? Do you know how it will work and any impact on Opti shareholders, or are you not allowed to comment?no comment at this stage but it is v good for OPTI, as per prior art no need to take part as Optis shares will - am sure be distributed as an in specie divi at some stage | parob |
