Just my opinion. We suddenly have the appearance of some with a negative spin at a time when Opti are really doing the business. We already know that Mr Evans,s share sell dropped the price. And now it looks like we have a buyer who is accumalating. View yesterday's early trade of 32,250 and one of 25k and then one of 50k at the close. These buys are always priced at the mid price to cause uncertainty. Unfortunately this type of buying seems to be a drag on the share price as the price is dropped to fill the order. More good news and we will move higher. What I am hoping for is that we do not have the arrival of those that disturb the nice balance of this thread.

Shrewdmole, I respect your opinion, but I must disagree. If the bottom falls out of the market then the correction will be harder on AIM non-revenue generating stocks.

Now i dont think even the most bullish of shareholders here if they being completely TRUTHFULL would own up to be entirely happy with share price siseways movement.
Very, very simply, what is the big question is "what will the catalyst be in order to get the share price moving in the right direction?
Will it be
A) further announcements of some desription, like partnerships in USA and other parts, sale of goods in UK , like Boots and H&B, more detail on sale of goods, more on the healthy sugur, etc., and so on
or
B) a longer wait until reports and accounts are produced, which will give evidence of revenues/cash at bank/salaries paid and ulimately profits.

We all hope it will be A) as the market anticipates profits to come. If it is A) then we are just waiting day by day for news via RNS, just like we have been doing. So far these RNS 's have had a muted effect on the sp, which perhaps been down to initial holders selling or so some have indicated.

PS i see no reason to filter Nimrod, only the rose tinted brigade will resort to that policy.

Nimrod

Everyone's allowed an opinion but I think rather than endless ramping it's genuine enthusiasm both through in depth research and long term following of the company.

With regards a market correction, that's always a risk, however it usually makes people research better and quality growth companies in ground breaking sectors will hold up better than others.

Let's not forget this is an absolute disruptive science that is way ahead of its peers!!

No, you're right I did not top up, but as mentioned above the endlessly cloying ramping of this share doesn't appear to be warranted at present. Its easy enough to buy back in if/when there's some real news (cash).

Nimrod, IMO the reason we've been consolidating for such a long period is we've had large holders who were in at the IPO selling at huge profits (400-1000%) from 40p (helium) to recently (DE). Seneca and YSF have sold millions too. Who can blame them when you consider the profits they've made. I would say the price has held up well considering. All those shares are now in new hands ready for the next leg up. OK, YSF still have millions but they haven't regularly dripped sales into the market like Helium, Seneca and DE did, instead selling large chunks infrequently. The last 2 batches were June 2016 and March 2017. With the above-mentioned large holders out, the microbiome gaining more media and public attention and as we enter the commercialisation stage with regular newsflow, I would argue there hasn't been a better time to invest during the past two years and thanks to DE selling you can still buy in cheaper than SOH's family (75p).As I've mentioned before and Nicola Duke (@NicTrades) tweeted on the 2/6/17:"Good news is sideways consolidation is usually followed by a big move in the direction of the trend..."I think you can forget your 62p top up. You had your chance at 65p and didn't take it by the sound of things.

I made a fair whack of cash when I sold OPTI at start of April, and put some of it in an ISA, but its been sideways since.
I think its the endless daily hype that's wearing thin.
I'll wait and see, but I would suggest not to plough too much in just now, with a market correction more liable to arrive before cash in OPTI (no doubt plenty of people will shout at me for saying it).

nimrod22, the reality is that 8p to 100p and current 72p has been accomplished in a few years.
It was good for people like TW and DE, AR, the Seed Fund, Elrico (15p) and some others on here in at the start. Not good for others in at alater stage.
In hindsight it was never going to go up like that again, you could say the share price had got ahead of itself and those aforementioned guys got lucky. The share price perhaps had a more gentle rise.
There has been an inevitable period of stagnation, whilst the science is provan and products are made and sold. As always, 'hopefully' commercialisation will bring forward another rise. That is what we want, along with revenues and profits.

A 5% share price rise in the last 12 months is the reality at the moment.

The SBTX div in specie (or whatever it is) won't happen until the share price of both OPTI and SBTX are much higher IMO.

Indeed Nick. In the technical update on the 19th, we got quite a lot of info and gave significant insight into how SlimBiome is being run and managed. It demonstrated there are significant checks and balances in place right through from producing the raw ingredients to product and transport of end products and of course texture, taste and blending and when needed, changes and improvements are made. Clearly, nothing is taken for granted and the team are looking for improvements all the time.

Technical Update

OptiBiotix has developed an improved version of SlimBiome(R) using advanced processing technology which provides the following benefits:-

i. Creating a single homogenous product reducing component separation in transport and improving product consistency. This opens up new application opportunities in areas which lack the ability to blend or remix SlimBiome(R) (e.g. in store bakeries)

ii. Enhanced solubility giving better product presentation and greatly enhancing flavour and mouthfeel. This improves the taste and consumer experience of products containing SlimBiome(R) such as 'GoFigure(R)' shakes and bars

iii. Improved dispersion in water opening up new applications areas to meets demand for 'on the go' products

iv. Lower manufacturing costs due to less waste and more efficient production processes

Many thanks, as ever, for considered response, Elrico. I can't for a moment rationalise or contemplate 1:1 distribution of SKIN (TW notwithstanding), nor would I harbour expectation as regards added shares by dint of DE (and others') forfeiture as a result of interim disposal of OPTI; but it did trigger a curiosity on my part. Just maybe it will pan out to our added advantage? However it's not really the freebies I'm after; it's SKIN at £1! Wonder if it cures goosebumps?

Owen - I know as much as you though confess I did not give DE significant sale any mind in terms of him losing his SBTX shares, free or discounted. We first need the qualifying dates, though I am sure DE and anyone selling have lost their rights, this is the ONLY certainty because we have been told this. We are left assuming we will get 1-1, TW got this from someone inside, or he has been extremely foolish. Does this mean LTH have the opportunity for more? I understand the logic behind this, it makes sense, but life tells me otherwise. If it did it would be a huge boost to those that kept faith and would bode well for the SweetBiotix IPO, where we are sure to learn a great deal once the SBTX situation has been concluded.

If your logic is correct, it would almost certainly reduce the volatility in the OPTI shares because LTH would become bigger in numbers as they wait for the SweetBiotix shares...IMHO!

I don't expect SBTX announce anything on this, I would imagine OPTI/SBTX make a joint announcement related to the distribution. I know SOH has been very much hands on making sure he fully understands the regulatory issues, tax implications and cause and effect on both companies. Clearly, there is a lot of work here and I am sure he has advisors, but he is committed to fully understanding every implication and how it effects shareholders. The nice problem he has now is one of commercial business getting in the way of this....hence the radio silence on the subject.

Elrico, I totally agree and Im really impressed with the way Opti are going about things as you say.
From a manufacturing point of view, Opti/CII seem to have overcome what I would consider major hurdles, in that they are able to incorporate Slimbiome into products that require high temperatures to produce.

Clarification: I didn't mean to query (as implied) if TT and/or Elrico might acquire extra shares! more a question of directing my question to them; the first of two question marks is mis-placed.

Well Judi because we're promised "news" on half-year result day Oct. 5th. On another matter, tell me this and tell me no more: If Remainers - Opti Remainers, that is :) - will acquire free SKIN shares, depending on Opti holding at some or other back-in-the-day close-off date, what is to become of free shares DE would have acquired had he remained; the present-day buyers of his shares won't get them, one assumes. Might this now mean more-than-expected free shares for LTHs like us? or a lesser dilution of SKIN in the distribution process? Who gains DE's loss? TT or Elrico? Am I missing something?
