29/9/2017 21:53 | ...maybe trying to run down old stock before they re-launch with the new Slimbiome. (And perhaps some new flavour(s))? | someuwin
29/9/2017 16:28 | The SBTX div in specie (or whatever it is) won't happen until the share price of both OPTI and SBTX are much higher IMO. | trotterstrading
29/9/2017 15:39 | I think I remember SOH saying there might be another spin off in 2018? More free shares? Mined you a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! DIAMOND. | diamond fibre
29/9/2017 13:06 | Just put my #PAYS profit into OPTI that 10916 buy is mine. So much to look forward to including early retirement - I hope! | malreid
29/9/2017 11:19 | Indeed Nick. In the technical update on the 19th, we got quite a lot of info and gave significant insight into how SlimBiome is being run and managed. It demonstrated there are significant checks and balances in place right through from producing the raw ingredients to product and transport of end products and of course texture, taste and blending and when needed, changes and improvements are made. Clearly, nothing is taken for granted and the team are looking for improvements all the time. Technical Update OptiBiotix has developed an improved version of SlimBiome(R) using advanced processing technology which provides the following benefits:- i. Creating a single homogenous product reducing component separation in transport and improving product consistency. This opens up new application opportunities in areas which lack the ability to blend or remix SlimBiome(R) (e.g. in store bakeries) ii. Enhanced solubility giving better product presentation and greatly enhancing flavour and mouthfeel. This improves the taste and consumer experience of products containing SlimBiome(R) such as 'GoFigure(R)' shakes and bars iii. Improved dispersion in water opening up new applications areas to meets demand for 'on the go' products iv. Lower manufacturing costs due to less waste and more efficient production processes | elrico
29/9/2017 11:09 | Many thanks, as ever, for considered response, Elrico. I can't for a moment rationalise or contemplate 1:1 distribution of SKIN (TW notwithstanding), nor would I harbour expectation as regards added shares by dint of DE (and others') forfeiture as a result of interim disposal of OPTI; but it did trigger a curiosity on my part. Just maybe it will pan out to our added advantage? However it's not really the freebies I'm after; it's SKIN at £1! Wonder if it cures goosebumps? | owenmo
29/9/2017 10:53 | Owen - I know as much as you though confess I did not give DE significant sale any mind in terms of him losing his SBTX shares, free or discounted. We first need the qualifying dates, though I am sure DE and anyone selling have lost their rights, this is the ONLY certainty because we have been told this. We are left assuming we will get 1-1, TW got this from someone inside, or he has been extremely foolish. Does this mean LTH have the opportunity for more? I understand the logic behind this, it makes sense, but life tells me otherwise. If it did it would be a huge boost to those that kept faith and would bode well for the SweetBiotix IPO, where we are sure to learn a great deal once the SBTX situation has been concluded. If your logic is correct, it would almost certainly reduce the volatility in the OPTI shares because LTH would become bigger in numbers as they wait for the SweetBiotix shares...IMHO! I don't expect SBTX announce anything on this, I would imagine OPTI/SBTX make a joint announcement related to the distribution. I know SOH has been very much hands on making sure he fully understands the regulatory issues, tax implications and cause and effect on both companies. Clearly, there is a lot of work here and I am sure he has advisors, but he is committed to fully understanding every implication and how it effects shareholders. The nice problem he has now is one of commercial business getting in the way of this....hence the radio silence on the subject. | elrico
29/9/2017 10:36 | Elrico, I totally agree and Im really impressed with the way Opti are going about things as you say. From a manufacturing point of view, Opti/CII seem to have overcome what I would consider major hurdles, in that they are able to incorporate Slimbiome into products that require high temperatures to produce. | nicktopten
29/9/2017 10:32 | owen, No idea to be honest | judijudi
29/9/2017 10:27 | Clarification: I didn't mean to query (as implied) if TT and/or Elrico might acquire extra shares! more a question of directing my question to them; the first of two question marks is mis-placed. | owenmo
29/9/2017 10:20 | Well Judi because we're promised "news" on half-year result day Oct. 5th. On another matter, tell me this and tell me no more: If Remainers - Opti Remainers, that is :) - will acquire free SKIN shares, depending on Opti holding at some or other back-in-the-day close-off date, what is to become of free shares DE would have acquired had he remained; the present-day buyers of his shares won't get them, one assumes. Might this now mean more-than-expected free shares for LTHs like us? or a lesser dilution of SKIN in the distribution process? Who gains DE's loss? TT or Elrico? Am I missing something? | owenmo
29/9/2017 10:20 | Nick - I don't think it matters they call them crisp or chips. I'm just thinking how quickly ICC seem to have a product of any kind already. It begs the questions; 1: how efficient are CII at producing a product incorporating new ingredients - presumably they would have performed taste and texture tests, production runs, etc. 2: When did Christina meet up with CII 3: How quickly did this manifest into a product. I guess we will have a more detailed update in due course. I think there is more to this than we have been told. I'm not suggesting SlimBiome/CII venture only started on the day it was announced (19th Sept) clearly this has been in the pipeline for a while. As I said, this is yet another example of how OPTI operate, with minimal fuss while building new product pipelines. It would be interesting to learn how CII chose this particular product first and what comes next. CII have a huge catalogue of foods and raw ingredients they supply to other food producers,so there is plenty of scope for SlimBiome in CII products - cooked, frozen, snack or breakfast, etc. I'd like a who's who within their client list. I bet that would be interesting. SlimBiome/CII appears has the potential to be a similar commercial venture as LP-LDL/SACCO. | elrico
29/9/2017 09:59 | TT, Why will there be guaranteed news with sbtx? | judijudi
29/9/2017 09:50 | Next week could be very interesting with Guaranteed news on SBTX and very likely OPTI too! Lovely ;0) | trotterstrading
29/9/2017 09:40 | right on cue, an official penny drop, | neftanikoff
29/9/2017 09:39 | im expecting October to be a busy RNS month. | john henry
29/9/2017 09:27 | I think the word Crisp has a different meaning in USA ! They call them potato chips over there. I think the term "crisp" is to do with the raw product this company produces. could be completely wrong though.... wouldn't be the first time! | nicktopten
29/9/2017 09:22 | aspex, at this rate they might adjust (down a penny or so)today, as 75 is nonsense. | neftanikoff
29/9/2017 09:19 | Slimbiome in crisps. Does this not demonstrate the SlimBiome CII venture most like started weeks ago if not months. We learned of CII just days ago and CII already have a product. Typical OPTI style, always has a card up the sleeve. | elrico
29/9/2017 09:12 | Heft. Yes I usually buy similar volumes of OPTI and most times it does not frighten the horses. | aspex
29/9/2017 09:04 | Just for the record, that 6808 'sell' at 8.40am is mine and actually a buy. | shazbo
29/9/2017 09:02 | i see you got in at a touch over 73 with your 16k | neftanikoff
29/9/2017 08:54 | My buy of 16000 showing as a sell. | aspex
29/9/2017 08:50 | "I wonder if next week we will have some kind of update of how things went." ...I have been told we will. | someuwin |
