It seems anything Neil Woodford touches has a profit warning. His latest follows CARDC. His PURP holding is another of his expected to crash as the market wakes up to it's poor business model. If it wasn't for bad luck....

No not YSF, they sold c600k a few months ago. Placed with another II. Helium star were the distressed seller. They were propping up a duffer if memory serves me.

Anyway I suspect more ii interest.

It will never be the same as, but is similar to, the tech boom.

The microbiome is gaining traction generally and let's face it where else are the funds finding value and growth?

Agree with elrico about Woodford....whilst it wouldn't be a bad thing to have him take an interest, his star has waned a little of late in terms of his stock picking. Having said that, he's usually a pretty sticky backer. I'd still prefer Slater or Train to invest. I doubt though that any of these guys would jump in just yet...

No please ODR. He is taking pounding recently with some of his funds getting a kicking. He could repeat the forced seller scenario we had at 30-40p. I'm sure you remember that. I've forgotten the insti involved.

Ref Max's FB post about TATA. My initial thoughts were he shouldn't have posted it, it should have been one for an RNS (17 hour day can fuzz the thought process). However, on reflection, there is nothing new in his post - we already knew about the TATA deal as per RNS dating back to Dec 2016 and Feb 2017 interview when TATA were actually named. What was new in Max's post, was his expectations GoFigure could play a part in the TATA deal. We know SlimBiome and LPGOS do have a part to play, so the GoFigure brand is hardly a stretch. Would a SweetBiotix commercial deal be a stretch? It's a perfect fit for TATA's strategy. I guess the key focus here is organising management structure ahead of the IPO.

Just a thought but as it appears that Opti is attracting more serious holders is it not pertinent that we as pi's think a little bit more about the bigger picture.

Opti and its science seems to be entering that point of general acceptance which could see a huge change in company fortunes.

We should be attracting serious ii interest whether or not they are buyers yet or are waiting for firmer intentions from Tata etc we don't know but there will be a lot of research going on in the sector.

The knock on of that I believe is that any interest in Opti will rub off on Sbtx too.

These are very exciting times for both Opti and Sbtx and I for one am looking forward to the coming weeks and months with huge excitement.

Ps as for Sbtx I think it's enthusiasm.
Soh seems very excited.
Comments made about their pr only wanting to Rns with major news.
We're due an update I would think so assuming it's not failed in tests then next news should really be a commercial tie up.

From such a low market cap that could see the shares double or even treble pretty quickly.

That benefits Opti too obviously!

I also have met tt in person at one of the investor evenings.

He is a thorough researcher tbh and has tipped me the wink on a few decent companies.

Nice £50k but just gone through.

Seems average trade size is increasing last few days so a real shift to safer hands I'd assume.

I can also vouch for Trotters .. met him at various presentations including one back in 2015 in a small bar near Liverpool Street with only 20 retail investors.

We spoke at length then to SOH and also Jim Laird who at that time had not long been appointed Commercial Director.

He is a long time holder.

Lol! Ramping. Pmsl. I'm a LTH been here since day 1 ffs! Don't confuse ramping with enthusiasm, we all know OPTI love a Tuesday RNS, hardly a ramp to suggest we'd get another one after DE has been cleared and the US trade show gets underway. I stand by my SBTX comments.. I've stated nothing more than SoH has said.. which is he thinks SBTX could repeat the success of OPTI.. so 8x IPO price then! I've said it could hit 20p on next significant news, give it a chance ffs!

It will be interesting to see how much interest they get in the US. After Vitafoods I remember them saying how many people wanted to talk to them.Per mentioned last week that several companies had asked to see them before the show so that's why they went out early.

Good start, no reason whatsoever we shouldn't retest previous highs, the company is in the. Eat shape it's ever been with a strong pipeline of news and now no major seller holding us back!
