Ici4 nearly below $70Problem is Indonesian gov keeps getting angry with the miners cos they aren't fulfilling domestic responsibility so I expect it to bottom at $50 by end of 2022China allowing Australian coal would be a massive help but the chatter has cooled down in recent months

They are going to meet market expectations.

Now I do not know what they are but even if it's a much lower say 8-10 mil profits from previous 15-25 mil it's still ridiculous next to the much lower market cap.

I agree with you there Bubba, OPG do need some sort of renewables/growth strategy.

Dave, I can't see OPG price moving until the FY end results are released, and only then if the results are able to convince the market that OPG are not being slaughtered by the high coal prices.

That chart looks poised to gap up back to 10-11p providing it rises from here.

Well bid online and close to full offer online so every chance, nobody seems to be selling now and has been some decent buying of late.

Yes BobIndonesian coal only $75 and keeps fallingTarriffs resettingNew electricity bill getting passedIn 3 years time once debt is paid off and capex is spent this company will rake cash inBut they are destroying shareholder equity not investing in renewable assetsThe reason for my opg will get acquired thesis is simple once this bill passes major players still wont be able to set prices at what ever they like so they will still have to grow inorganicly to make they achieve higher market shareHaving seen with usa telecom companies they were acquiring other small firms at premium pricesSo anything at £70M enterprise value I would happily accept for OPGEven the solar assets are worth a quarter of the market cap haha

Bubba, at the current share price a merger or acquisition would not be good for share holders. I think most holders would agree that at the current £28 million value OPG is severely undervalued... Any buyer will only add maybe 25 to 30% on top of that max.

Personally I would like OPG to prove to the market that they can not only survive within the current climate of high coal prices but can also make a profit. With higher tariffs next year, reducing debt and a fair wind it is my hope that the share price will then begin to take care of itself.

India trying to turn the electricity market into a telecom marketVery good news indeed We may see a lot more mergers and acquisitions Wouldn't be surprised if we get bought by a bigger firm to gain bigger market share in tamil nadu

Potential good as long as they get other companies to sign contractsReading the ncd prospectus tangedco buy basically 70mw of electricity from them at a fixed rate of 4 rupees till 2027 and the rest they sell to random companies in chennai on short term agreements 1-3 yrs So if they can charge 7 rupees rather than 5.5 rupees and get cheap coal then profits are going rise back to start of covid levels which would mean a yearly operating income is higher than enterprise valueI think the old cfo said 5 million in capex needs to be spent to compile with environmental regulations and 20 million of the Ncd is due in June 2023 and I wouldn't be surprised if they refinance Opg is a wonderful company I was probably to early investing by 1 or 2 yearsAnd remember guys it's a supply issue not a demand one

Bubba

So lets pretend before this OPG were making £10 mil a year. I know they used to make more but for argument sake it's £10 mil, how much of this increase goes down to their bottom line profits.

I mean they do have a chunky amount of turnover so potentially could be good ?

The mm's have kept this at these levels for months now because there has been so much two way trade but low volume stuff they have not had to spike it up or down.

First bit of buying volume and mm's run for cover so it does not look like there is a overhang in the background.

They have paid the interest on its NCD so were solventAnd met all financial covenantsThis info came from the bombay stock exchangeFull repayments due June 2023Still unclear how this trading at this level the market isn't factoring in the £10 million free cash flow generation I predict will occur once coal collaspes and tarriffs reset zero chance coal says at this level for a long period of time
