An interesting fact I thought, putting things into perspective.Every year there are about 2,000,000 malaria deaths, from 200,000,000 cases. One death every 30 seconds according to some estimates. Predominantly African children under 5.

Added a few more here today to take my average to 44.6p. Still underwater but at least have a position for when the good news continues to flow here! Didn't have the funds in time to top-up below 40p which was a bit unfortunate as that would have been better re: my averaging down of course! Such is life!

Looks like we're in the quietly loading up phase. Then, once most have reloaded, we'll get the manic Telegram phase, then an RNs, then a 54p price sold down to 50p, then a quiet loading up phase again. Rinse and repeat at 60p, then 70p then 80p etc etc. Good job all advfn chartist/ traders get it spot on every time or else they'd lose out like the other 70% of traders do.I prefer the easy investing life, just the same as c does. And I think he's in it for the high tens of millions, not the odd fifty quid. But each to their own.

On the other hand announcing another whilst one is going thru stops traders, as who would sell with 2 qualifying dates to hit to get the spin offs?

Not sure it's wise to confuse the issue over one float with another. Better to announce them sequentially.

I think the next one on the block is the 62% stake in PrepBioPharm (the Viral prophylactic that may work against CV19) which will be on AIM. The Imutex float he complained about last time as having no control over I think he has more control over PrepBioPharm, at 62% ownership I would hope so, hence its likely float. Would be happier with Imutex mind you as there is a lot of money in that one.

eeza,
CF never said “there would be”
Listen again
But slowly this time

My bet is that it's ConserV plus Orph's share of Imutex headed to the Nasdaq in some form - so timetable is largely driven by Seek's negotiations with potential partners (BiondVax or a funded SPAC being the obvious ones).

i.e. the timing of this one is even less under his control than was the first one.

He said there might be a second one in April. It is near, clearly, but not certain.

5 trading days to end of month. CF said there would be another spin-off/contract announced before end of April.

Ever since CF stopped giving so many interviews there are quiet periods as there is nothing new being told to us to speculate on.

Very quiet here today. And at SPC. Hopefully both taking a breather before the next legs up. If there is indeed any connection between Orph and SPC...

A small challenge study won't normally help you short-cut a successful Ph 3 since that is about finding rare side effects (for which you need a large test group) as well as about proving efficacy on a large sample set. The exception may be where you have already proven safety with a previous large Phase 3 trial and then want to "tweak" the vaccine slightly (but not enough to cause significant doubts about safety) to combat a slightly different version of the virus. This is why CHIMs may be helpful to speed up approval of new versions of Covid vaccines that have already conducted a successful Phase 3, as well as to establish whether completely new vaccines might work prior to Phase 3.

With this Malaria vaccine, they have already established efficacy in the phase 2, so now they have to prove safety on a large sample set, and confirm efficacy.

"450 children were randomised to receive the R21/MM vaccine or a control rabies vaccine. R21/MM had a 43 favourable safety profile and was well-tolerated. At 6 months, 43/146 (29·5%) who received R21/MM with low44 dose adjuvant, 38/146 (26%) who received R21/MM with high-dose adjuvant, and 105/147 (71·4%) who received the rabies vaccine developed clinical malaria."

A CHIM would need a malaria model to be developed and approved which would be rather expensive and I dont think the client would pay for it for one vaccine.

Published this morning that Oxford University and their partner have completed a stage ii study in Malaria vaccine which showed a record 77% efficacy and above the WHO requirement of 75%. Oxford are exploring ways to reduce the length of the stage iii test as has been the case with Covid. They forecast completing the test earlier could result in saving 300k children’s lives. Opportunity for Human Challenge trial??

Never leave home without it. Essential for establishing entry points to companies with good fundamentals to save leaving your cash tied up in the doldrums or risking an immediate negative.

Charts work with proper volume.
We have witnessed the sellers buying them back .
Anyway, analyse how you want , 98.8% are holding for fund’ys and not what short term traders decide. And in a flash it will turn cause no one dislikes ORPH - it’s just maxing
Most don’t give a flying. 2p is totally irrelevant

A lot better day here and for the markets. Did pop our head above the 8 day ema, but finished just below it. It was support, now potential resistance. Hopefully we can crack it tomorrow.

Not sure how or why people can think orph can get diluted in the float, or RTO, hopefully. Orph may splash some cash into orph pharma to jockey along seed capital VCS and institutions to follow along but it's pretty impossible for orph to get diluted imv. Also, a rights or placing for orph pharma holders may well come months after the float, it can't come before because orph is the only holder! I personally doubt orph holders will be able to get in on the initial funding even if they want to, unless they can stump up a min sub of a mill for example.Whatever, this is the easiest share available to just sit back and enjoy the slightly bumpy ride. Be thankful any blips are small thanks to traders having their margin trimmed to nothing. IG did everyone a very big favour.
