pogue - agree on it appearing the Immune Modulator might be the first to go. 100% owned means no pesky partners to negotiate with, so it has an obvious timing advantage if the market interest is there - and I think we can take it from his positivity that it is.

On your beds tally, I think I heard him suggest he might be able to find some more beds in the Royal Free? On the 100 bed hotel, I wasn't sure if that was an actual hotel that had been identified or just a hypothetical one - based on there being lots of fairly empty hotels around at present which might be open to a 1-year or 2-year block booking.

he was hinting strongly the the immune modulator was first to go of the assets as well so we will find out soon I think.

Some simple arithmetic..
24 beds QM clinic
18 beds Royal Free
19 beds New Whitechapel Clinic
total 61 beds
Planned new clinic identified 100 beds
Perhaps not all rooms converted in new building, as Whitechapel clinic was a 24 bed hotel and only 19 rooms were converted however the new clinic will probably double our income from challenge studies

He made a big thing tonight of the Immune Modulator asset (100% owned). It felt to me that his expectations of value from this have gone up considerably.

"As regards shareprice I've never been more optimistic"

He just couldn't help himself, could he? But I'm guessing most posters here will be less concerned with that sort of spin than with the previous mantra.

1gw, The feedback I have received was that they didn't know how they were going to cope and split themselves with studies in other countries. It was only PIs that kept on thinking that SGS was an option, he himself explained that we would be surprised by the next facility.
We think about the heads of studies and senior management, but it is the people below that, that have to bring these challenge studies to fruition and complete them. A huge task, made easier by not having too large a geography to deal with.
The use of Hotels local to QMB is a masterstroke....

(1)0700 call tomorrow with 7 x Chinese pharma companies and the Chinese equivalent of the FDA...

(2) trademarked ' Disease in motion ' wearables co's 'form an orderly queue , please'
'May be worth as much as the parent'...

(3) vaccines ' a gold rush across the world'....and ORPH isn't one of the gold prospectors but the co selling Levi's, pans and pick-axes to all of them...

(4) " we'd like to buy out Invesco... or maybe the Chinese will..."

(5) SEEK > ConserV, our interest is secure, possibility of a 'monster deal'

(6) Ethics approval awaited, 'very optimistic'.

(7) Finncap update ? 'May have to nudge them'

(8) Personal shareholding ? 'Already largest, probably increasing if I can, lots of 'insider' restrictions '

All sounds pretty encouraging IMO

I forgot to mention, he also said he would be more likely to be a buyer than a seller of shares (responding to a Q about whether he would consider extending his lock-in period) - but from a practical point of view he was nearly always prevented from dealing because of inside information (i.e. business performance or live negotiations).

All shareholders will share in the monetisation !

No spurious benefit, buy-backs....dividends & hard cash.

Usual high octane stuff. Notes I made:

o We made "bloody good" money in Q4

o "Disease in Motion" (database of disease progression data) patented.

o 7am tomorrow - meeting with China pharma companies (7 of them?)

o The 3 non-core assets likely to be monetised separately, 1 of them fairly soon

o Very happy with what Seek is doing with ConserV - Orph will be the first to sign on the bottom line if they do their deal (needs Orph's approval if it involves Imutex).

o Could also be an IPO of Disease in Motion

o Invesco sales weighing on shareprice. I think he said he was hopeful our Chinese friends might buy them out?

o "As regards shareprice I've never been more optimistic"

o Planning to make the balance sheet adjustments (getting rid of retained losses) to allow a dividend to be paid.

o finnCap have been a bit out of the loop on the 3rd facility. As a shareholder, CF would have hoped for better revenue guidance (I think that was the implication).

o In response to a question on potential clinics abroad answered with "why not go large and go local" talking about the possibility of a 100 bed hotel not too far away from the current clinics.

All good stuff. That last response makes me think negotiations must have broken down with the European, Australian and US options previously talked about, but if he thinks he can get a deal that is cheaper and logistically easier by converting local hotels, then doesn't sound too bad.

Fantastic update, thought I was going to be a bit flat but plenty going on and sounds like once the news starts rolling this year there will be plenty following it. Cathal also said he would not be selling and would like to add if he could and that he has never been as excited about the future than he is now.
