11/10/2016 14:24 | Only managed 1.1092 on a few euros I was forced to buy! | mrphil
11/10/2016 14:01 | Another US housing bubble? | aleman
11/10/2016 13:34 | Whole life CO2 emissions for electric vehicles show only marginal reductions over internal combustion engines as battery sizes increase to produce more equivalent power and range. Future electricity production needs to produce less CO2 to achieve significant benefits. | aleman
11/10/2016 12:42 | Regional life expectancies at birth and 65: | aleman
11/10/2016 12:12 | £ = $1.225 | aleman
11/10/2016 11:43 | I presume the auto feedback form from Aldermore was as a result of the latest credit to our savings account rather than my top up of shares! ;-) | mrphil
11/10/2016 11:29 | Trying to tidy up the SIPP a bit and get rid of some old dead wood and make some of the other holdings a bit more meaningful. Just topped up a bit on PETS. Undecided on ALD where I grabbed a few early on and saw them tumble so the holding is bordering on not worth having now, but I do like them as a bank to deal with, albeit we only have a business savings account with them. I would have thought they should be back on the up now, but what do I know! | mrphil
11/10/2016 10:42 | Last of the GVC went this morning and I sold two thirds of my remaining MACF. It was only supposed to be one third but I got distracted during the first sell and didn't think it had been actioned! Oh well never mind, that's secured some nice profit! | mrphil
11/10/2016 10:29 | Took the opportunity to jump aboard with a few SPD. | mrphil
11/10/2016 10:04 | EUR German ZEW Economic Sentiment 6.2 4.2 0.5 EUR ZEW Economic Sentiment 12.3 6.3 5.4 | skinny
11/10/2016 09:58 | Aleman, from yesterday - | skinny
11/10/2016 09:48 | £ = $1.230 + Euro 1.106. An aquaintance tells me you now get less than one Euro to the £ in the airport. | aleman
11/10/2016 09:12 | After the recent rally, BP. is now way out in front as my biggest single individual stock in the SIPP. I suppose a more cautious individual would probably be trimming them a bit. | mrphil
11/10/2016 08:25 | Must admit this bit got me thinking.... "Spending rose by fell by 1.3 percent compared with September last year, recovering from a fall of 0.3 percent in August, the British Retail Consortium said." Enjoyed Cold Feet too, thought Pete had done it for a minute there! ;-) | mrphil
11/10/2016 08:06 | Morning All. Trading update from TCN looks promising, pity I didn't grab those extra ones at 9.99p yesterday morning. Mind you, the market could go the other way I guess, that would be par for the course! A beautiful day yesterday but a high of just 13.2°C then a chilly 4.5°C last night. Another lovely start this morning. Just had the confirmation back from SSE that our solar brought in just over £420 for the last quarter, not bad for just 10 panels. | mrphil
10/10/2016 19:29 | +0.09% today. Highest value risers : TCN +10.5%, PEW +3.7%, BLT +2.8%, SDV +1.5%, GVC +1.1%. Worst value fallers : IGR -5.3%, LLPC -2.7%, PHTM -3.5%, MCLS -3.4%. Just the odd shower, sunny intervals but back to 9C, wind N 10mph. | blueliner
10/10/2016 17:23 | Had my first tomato, small, conker size and pink, it tasted very good. Plant is still flowering. | freddie ferret
10/10/2016 17:09 | My SIPP finished up 0.35%. I've been picking the last of the chillies - the home grown are excellent but verging on dangerous! | skinny
10/10/2016 16:58 | Up 0.3% today. Bit behind the main index but not bad after hitting a new high at the weekend. Today takes me through 20% for the year and there might even be a bit more once a crop of ex-dividends come through. Finished off the mowing today and got caught by another shower. Generally a bright day, though, if pretty chilly under the frequent clouds when it was only just in double figures.. 13.6C. | aleman
10/10/2016 16:55 | Better day at last, SIPP +0.56% with BRCI, BP. & TCN in top spots, and the pot managed +0.03% thanks to RDSB, FDI & RR. Cold Feet this evening, but I think I'll have a go on the woodworking lathe first. | mrphil
10/10/2016 16:01 | We've all been there Aleman :-) | skinny
10/10/2016 15:56 | Were you thinking of me when you posted that, Skinny? I'm sure I look a lot more stressed than Mr McIntyre. He gets away from his when he goes to work! Oil up another $1 since my last post and £ down a touch more - $53.54 + $1.235. Where does this end? | aleman
10/10/2016 15:52 | Just read your issues with DX Mr P whilst out for a bite. This is worse than the I/Rev paye demands, quite unbelievable, they don't deserve any business carrying on like that. Sold mine as well recently. | blueliner |
