Aimwinner, When you say 'hard assets', do you mean plant and equipment?

In its Trading Update 18 August the Board promised a further trading update in October.

The thing I can’t find is much in the way of hard assets!

The biggest item on the balance sheet is Intangible assets at £21M. According to the notes thats the goodwill in the subsidiaries.
I will continue my search, but one positive is that now that Jennings has gone, they will save his £183k salary, nice work if you can get it!!
That £183k is 1p per share so with my newfound £200 I am off to the pub!

eggbaconandbubble I need to do more work to see if there is some value in this company I have not spotted, and others have. It seems well run and the report and accounts always seem clear and well-presented which should make my task easier I hope.

Aimwinner, my short answer is, I wouldn't know! I just have an inkling of a feeling in my waters, as they say! I do agree with sbs that NTBR is a well run company and there is plenty of work around for them.

It might get taken out on the cheap but certainly at a higher price than current.

sbs I am not so sure that Jennings did not sell 50000 at 51 on the 16th, if so he just be dribbling them out which will put a brake on the share price or it could be there is no big buyer. If he uses an execution only broker, they won’t have the contacts to make a buyer and may just keep selling them into the market which could be what he is doing.

eggbaconandbubble Do you think they are working together and if so, what is their game plan, is it to buy the company on the cheap? If it is then why have they not bought the Jennings stock?

If he wants to sell a chunk, his broker can find a buyer.Meanwhile business is well run and the need for building work is relentless.

I am not sure either what the game plan is here but if Jennings is a seller, then I don’t expect the share price to go anywhere for a while. I have looked again at the trades and still think that the Market makers have these on the book. I can’t see that Jennings has sold any more but that may be because there is no buyer!

If he's not just topping up because it's cheap, perhaps he knows something about Baryshnik. I never figured his game out, either.

The market makers must be long, look how fast they called them up after selling 10000.
I bet they have not called Jennings asking for some more yet, only 1.276M to go!!

Baryshnik doesn't seem to be interested, though his 72p tender offer got him several hundred thousand shares less than he wanted.

So Jennings dropped 60k. on Monday, according to the RNS; Tuesday according to the trades data, leaving him with 1,276,260. That should be his Christmas spending sorted (kill the turkey and invite 30 people to the funeral!). Anyone got a spare £700k to mop up the rest?
