05/1/2012 13:06 | First bit of press coverage in Growth company investor | jeanesy
05/1/2012 11:06 | They are going to issue a further RNS, most likely Monday, but could be tomorrow. I can't imagine that it will be other than positive/upbeat! | 2magpies
05/1/2012 10:17 | The average estimate for the collections value seems to have been around $8 million so 25 is an excellent result. | battlebus2
05/1/2012 10:14 | Expect to see an Investor's Chronicle mention fairly soon, as they've been positive for a long time on this company. I've personally felt for a while that both NBL and SGI stand to do well in these troubled economic times as investors seek some safety in alternative assets, so it's good to see this news today (dyor, obviously). Your previous optimism has been fully vindicated, jeanesy! | dashton42
05/1/2012 10:08 | This is still under the radar for most but i expect the sale of this collection to get the company noticed ! I am hoping for good press coverage now . | jeanesy
05/1/2012 09:58 | "The Prospero Collection contains 642 coins that together are expected to realize many millions of dollars when sold Jan. 4. The auction is one of three scheduled to be conducted during the New York International Numismatic Convention by the New York Sale entity. The partner firms for the New York Sale are Baldwin's Auctions Ltd., Dmitry Markov Coins and Medals, and M & M Numismatics Ltd. All successful bids are subject to a 15 percent buyer's fee." Still, a nice result. | wjccghcc
05/1/2012 09:56 | On holidays atm Jeanesy so only on alerts. | battlebus2
05/1/2012 09:55 | As far as i was aware Baldwins were the sole selling agent. Greece may be a collapsing economy, overwhelmed by debt, but there's probably few better investments around than a rare 336-323 year BC Greek coin, bearing the likeness of Alexander the Great. It, and more than 600 other items from the Prospero collection of ancient Greek coins, goes under the hammer in New York in January. The proceeds could fetch between £5m and £20m, with Noble collecting a buyer's premium of up to 20 per cent. | battlebus2
05/1/2012 09:55 | Great news , i hoped it would be . I am not alone on here anymore i see ! | jeanesy
05/1/2012 09:53 | Hyper - always the case! I'm hoping it doesn't go up to quickly before I complete research, currently I don't understand why its not trading closer to 250p but hey therein lies the opportunity.. | aleoap
05/1/2012 09:47 | Not sure that's right. There were 3 dealers involved so I guess they only get a third of the 15% buyers fee i.e. approx 800k? | wjccghcc
05/1/2012 09:46 | Wow indeed. This company only just popped on my radar. First position taken looks very interesting growth prospect. | aleoap
05/1/2012 09:44 | valued at between £5 and 20 million with a 20% lift from the proceeds for Noble. Should double profit for the year alone. | battlebus2
05/1/2012 09:41 | Was this valuation in line with expectations? | aleoap
05/1/2012 09:37 | Just added prospero sold for $25 million! | battlebus2
03/1/2012 16:56 | AVR on the up still: now approaching a new high but still cheap in comparison to its net asset value. Ddont forget that nbl have 16% of their shares at the last check. Auction tomorrow in New York. I await news with keen interest. IT does seem that i am on my own though !! | jeanesy
03/1/2012 11:28 | Just bought a few more at 165p...there seems to be a seller around. | stevenlondon3
03/1/2012 08:26 | Not long to wait now until the prospero auction in New York. Is anyone else excited? | jeanesy
29/12/2011 10:48 | Quite a few end of year? sales today. mm's have not dropped the bid , hopefully they will not. Good news is just around the corner hopefully | jeanesy
24/12/2011 11:19 | I have just been reading about the New York auctions- there are some spectacular coins on offer. here is a link to anyone interested - Good luck to all investors here for 2012 | jeanesy
21/12/2011 17:21 | When do others expect to see a move upwards ? I expect it will be when we get some news about the prospero auction . | jeanesy
21/12/2011 09:32 | I forget to mention that noble has been given the job of running the auction of the prospero collection of coins in New York on the 4th Jan, so hopefully we will get some good news early in the New Year. Onwards and upwards from here please ! | jeanesy
21/12/2011 08:11 | Someone was confident yesterday buying 25k worth of shares. There was a nice article in money observer this month highlighting what a great year it has just been for coins as an investment. The value of coins is also likely to rise more than inflation again this year. I think these are under the radar for most but i believe it is time for a decent rise here back to levels seen in oct. I suspect it will not take many buys to see a decent rise imo. | jeanesy |
