28/11/2011 10:39 | -- Pre tax profits up 37% to GBP3.0m (2010: GBP2.2m) -- Basic earnings per share up 51% to 15.27p (2010.10.08p) -- Total recommended dividend of 4.30p, up 23% (2010: 3.50p) -- Strong, ungeared balance sheet with net asset value of GBP15.0m (2010:GBP13.6m) Topped up yet again this morning and will continue to do so. The share price looks particularly cheap at the moment and I can see 250p not far off. Everything looks so positive and the share price seems to have hit a level prior to the next rise. EDIT Tuesday: Further drop in the share price - wonder how cheaply I can buy my next lot? Put in an order at just under the current price | greek islander
22/11/2011 15:40 | My last four buys here are all showing as sells including those today. I am topping up my position here. Looks cheap still. | greek islander
17/11/2011 15:00 | If alternative investment is your bag then you are no doubt following two quoted companies at the cutting edge of this specialist area. One would be Noble Investments (LON:NBL), which specialises in coins, and the other is undoubtedly Stanley Gibbons, whose shop on the Strand is a Mecca for stamp collectors. The recent opening of an office in Hong Kong reveals Stanley Gibbons going international. | paved
14/11/2011 10:16 | Yes this remains the ideal stock to buy and I keep adding every now and again. I always seem to have a buy order outstanding with my brokers, as I try to pick up more on a dip. Thankfully - even at Noble - you do get the odd dip. Currently the buy price is a very attractive one and any general recovery in the market could see sizeable gains in the share price here. | greek islander
08/11/2011 07:42 | The only way is up with the line up of auctions to come imv. | battlebus2

03/11/2011 10:34 | Irenekent - that could be coz they're poaching SGI folks! | dashton42
03/11/2011 09:56 | Very good company, seem to be doing better than Gibbons whose share price has been falling. I'm in. | irenekent
03/11/2011 08:14 | Anyone who watches online auctions at the big houses will not be in the least surprised by the results and outlook. Prices realised, especially for top-end material, have been going through the roof, a situation confirmed in a conversation I had with an old hand, ex-Spink, some weeks ago. | bluesbreaker
03/11/2011 08:03 | A lovely increase in the dividend always welcome in the current climate. | battlebus2
03/11/2011 07:57 | Battle, at a guess I would say they are understating it as well. It is always better to underpromise and overdeliver. Excellent results all the same | wylecoyote
03/11/2011 07:52 | Yes and the future looks even better. "We have the largest order book of consignments for future auctions in our history and view the coming year with a great deal of confidence." | battlebus2
03/11/2011 07:20 | Excellent results, imho! | dashton42
02/11/2011 18:31 | Bring on the results then! | battlebus2

07/10/2011 14:30 | My shares club today further increased its holding (for the second month running)and Noble is now one-third of our total portfolio and the second most profitable stock (percentage-wise) that we now hold. We are sitting on lots of cash and it would not surprise me if we bought even more in the future. I myself have also been steadily building my holding. Great hedge, this stock, against the current vagaries of the market out there. | greek islander
08/9/2011 11:59 | Steady climbing on little volume suits me fine. Possible write ups in I.C. and weekend papers should propel us closer to £2. | battlebus2
06/9/2011 18:12 | Bought in early 2009 at just over 80p so more than doubled in that time and expect to see the stock rise well over 250p inside the next twelve months maybe as soon as we know just how much we have smashed forecasts by. Clearly the next set of results will be formidable and to be frank hardly unexpected. This stock would only be a really huge riser if it was an acquisition target, which it could be, but I am more than happy with the 30-40% annual rise it is currently making. Shanklin are you reading the posts above? | greek islander
06/9/2011 17:10 | £2.19 sounds about right. | battlebus2
06/9/2011 09:54 | This is a really solid hedge against what is going on in the economies elsewhere. See the stock continuing to rise through it all. May switch some funds from elsewhere. | greek islander
06/9/2011 07:50 | Yes that's what we've all been waiting for! Fantastic £2 here we come. | battlebus2 |
