08/3/2012 12:01 | The 2,500 share trade at 9.25am today is a buy, not a sell as shown, as it was little old me topping up. Last of the big spenders.......! Regards , Moneybags | moneybags
06/3/2012 21:18 | Rather a large fall . Lots of aim stocks have had big falls today though. Not much volume. Time to buy some more? | jeanesy
06/3/2012 09:21 | Is something up this morning? Is it just the markets or an aquisition or just a few sells, i wonder. | battlebus2
28/2/2012 16:08 | Ive bought a few AVR yesterday. Still not sure whether a possible bid from NBL is realistic. However, AVR look a good bet anyway and obviously can call upon the most excellent mahanement. | greek islander
27/2/2012 19:32 | AVR up some more. Must be good for us here as well. | jeanesy
25/2/2012 00:27 | Could be. Though it is a bit of a longshot gamble. Last time I bought into AVR for the same reason, it hardly moved for ages and in the end I got out with a profit of pennies. It has gone up quite a lot since. | greek islander
24/2/2012 21:22 | You maybe right linking the two rising today. A few million spare cash lying around those top drawers at NBL? | battlebus2
24/2/2012 20:22 | A good day here. Something is going on at AVR. Asteep rise at the close . More stakebuilding by NBL ? . Will there be some sort of announcement on monday? or am i reading too much into this, i have not even seen the share trade numbers involved yet. Perhaps there will be some press rumours tmw? | jeanesy
24/2/2012 15:42 | 210p barrier breached on way to 230p. | greek islander
22/2/2012 20:42 | £2 barrier broken , steady as she goes ! | jeanesy
21/2/2012 16:20 | Wahay - £2!! | dashton42
17/2/2012 07:28 | The volume of shares traded since Jan looks to my untutored eye to be on average much healthier than last year; hopefully this means that this company is becoming increasingly well known amongst the investment community. Rightly so, imho. | dashton42
15/2/2012 10:13 | 199.5p mid price after a run of small buys EDIT Bought two more amall lots myself this morning | greek islander
15/2/2012 09:44 | £2 here we come , today ? | jeanesy
14/2/2012 19:28 | Nice move today folKS. onwards and upwards please! | jeanesy
14/2/2012 17:13 | Getting so close to the next milestone of £2. Anyways a doubler for me so far but as GI says £3 will surely follow. | battlebus2
14/2/2012 08:57 | Little reason to sell this stock, unless you have a personal financial crisis or can come up with an even better one to move into. The steady inevitable growth in performance and share price with the huge potential offered by forthcoming major auctions, make it a cheap stock even after the recent rises in the share price I have been building up my holding here and will continue to do so. | greek islander
14/2/2012 08:31 | Hurrah , tick up today ! | jeanesy
12/2/2012 15:34 | I wonder if we will get news of the argentum spring collection auction tomorrow ? | jeanesy
06/2/2012 08:58 | There's a positive article by Peter Temple in this weekend's FT ("Stamps retain scope for first-class returns") in which both SGI and NBL get a mention. | dashton42
03/2/2012 08:10 | I too love this stock, though have always been under-represented - currently at far too low an allocation. "..a better pound for pound stock out there, then someone let me know." Hmm - yes, I'll volunteer one. How about a Property Investment Company with an NAV of 55.8p; an share price of 32.5p; an NAV discount of 41.7%; a low LTV of 43% (low gearing in commercial property terms) & a yield of.........wait for it......a yield of 10.7%! Also Schroders just taken on the Investment Manager role. Currently totally mis-priced. Take a look: | skyship
02/2/2012 17:06 | I'm always amazed when the share price dips and someone sells here. Unless one has a financial problem and needs to raise cash quickly why would one sell this stock? This has to be miles better than the proverbial "money in the bank". I have now raised my holding to my target maximum and feel very confident that I shall still be holding (if I've not had my ashes scattered in Venice) this time in 2022. I have 14 other stocks but this is my core solid holding with, I perceive, the least risk and the greatest certainty of a continued 20-30% annual return. My other stocks might well better that, but the risk factor here is the least. And that is without the excellent divi it pays. Sorry if I am being overly smug here, but if there is a better pound for pound stock out there, then someone let me know. | greek islander |
