what a disgrace that there has been no comment from the company and the share price continues to fall. I bet they would have been forced to comment if it was rising by the same percentage?

The word in the city is: fund raising at 6p

Watch this space.

FQR ... nice addition of the final sentence that wasn't there the first time I read your post yesterday.

I guess we can hope for one and hope we don't get two.

ihnc :.....We`re ALL angry about this !
Thing is , we can`t do much about it at the moment , except voice our disgust / suspicions .
The Directors know how we feel . I know that several shareholders have written , but at the moment the Directors have the cover of their Bunker in Leatherhead .
I also know that the FSA have been `alerted` to the possibility of a conflict of interest with their Broker , among other things .
As Lombiff says , at the moment it remains a waiting game , until we see what they HAVE been up to , THEN we can decide what we might do . `Giving` your shares away now , seems daft , and may actually be exactly what some people want you to do .
IF the whole science is trash , we`ll know soon I suspect , it`s then a question of `Where`s the Money` .
You never know , we might be pleasantly surprised !

Good discussion today, thanks.
You have reinforced my intention to continue to hold.
But averaging down is a step too far!

Boobly - I don't know any more than anyone else here, and I could easily be wrong about this share - it wouldn't be the first time! But, sometimes I think it pays to sit tight, think it through, and don't make any sudden movements.

I just think people expect things to happen too quickly. I guess they're on speed and I'm on valium!! I must say I do sometmes feel like Brian from the Magic Roundabout.

Mike - we certainly need cash for the fresh phase III for NPL-2008 and also to survive until the resulting drug would make it to market and become revenue-generating. Nothing new there. However, we do have cash in the bank and they have told us the biological diagnostic will be much quicker to market.

boobly - I hear you - communications haven't been good (in fact non-existent) but the fact is we don't know how the sale process is going - they could be playing a blinder!! The directors shouldn't be allowed to buy or sell stock now as we're in a bid situation, but it wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened.

ihnc - I agree we don't need the "this baby's gonna fly" brigade, but we do need to keep perspective, and the nine weeks since the announcement of "multiple third parties" is not a long time.

Each to their own - I'm stuck here, but I sleep well and am happy to sit it out. Actually, happy may be a bit strong, but I'm not unhappy!!

All the best

Seems to me that some small shareholders are just capitulating , and who could blame them , the management of this Company and the sale process is/has been absolutely pathetic .
However , I have have noticed that as these small parcels are dumped , they are clearly being hoovered up by some one .
Wouldn`t be in the least surprised to eventually find out that we`ve been deceived and cheated here .

......eg: Today I estimate that buys and sells are evenly matched . Although it is impossible to say exactly which are buys and which are sells , the price action and direction is the guide and this can easily be manipulated especially as quotes are on both LSE and PLUS where the spreads vary so widely .

They remain between a rock and hard place, needing £5m for the new phase III trial and having less than that in the bank now allowing for on going cash burn. If you were an interested third party and felt confident that there were not going to be any other bids you might opt to buy the IP from the administrator. Hopefully it will not come to that.

Down again ... amazingly poor ... going back to 6p ?

It does not matter how good the drug may be NPH need money to continue so their bargaining hand is very weak. Seems quite a few people don't get that.

Joe/Gbill - not only the drug but the new autism diagnostic screening tool (NPL-2510), which should have a shorter cycle to market.

Clutching at another straw for a moment, Pfizer announced last year they were looking for treatments for autism. Here's the link:

The dedicated research team is based in the US. Pfizer also have a huge research facility in Kent (apparently the biggest anywhere in the world outside USA) - they don't do neurosciences there (that's all in the USA) but the UK facility does look at screening and diagnostics . . . just a thought . . . dream on!!

Gbil. I hope so as this is one of the reasons for my investment here. Autism is on the increase and this may help or lessen the severity!!

Lombiff :......Hi ! ....and thanks for your post .

Glad to hear your still with us `Miserables` . ( Well I don`t mean glad that you`re suffering , just encouraged by your continued support!) Yes , with hindsight we should have dumped at 30/40p . Comm`s have been absolutely futile , and I am shocked at the percieved incompetence of the Board in handling these events . Even if they have no experience their advisors should know better . It smells a bit like they`ve been manouvered iinto a `Get shot at all cost` position . Enduring a bit of downward pressure is one thing but this has been almost a total collapse . I`m very suspicious of the shenanigens here , sure there have been quite a few small holders bailing out , but the firestorm seems to have been purposefully encouraged . It`s a lot easier to give something away , rather than having to sell it .
As long as two criteria are achieved I expect `Some` people will be delighted :
1. The business IS sold .
2. `Some` people keep their jobs , `Others` leave , well renumerated .

Fact is , this is a mess , and like you and others , selling out now is simply not an option .

Anyway good to get a positivish post from you . I sincerely hope your confidence and commitment is rewarded , your bravery deserves it probably more than anyone else !
