Inoticed they are still opening shorts after the news ... still stinks

Afternoon Guys !........Some thoughts :

* This is still very dificult to fathom .
* Only very limited news here .
* I imagine The BoD were getting some real pressure from shareholders , and they have almost been forced to say `something` .
* `Several intererested` , now seemm to be one , and still doing DD . So that suggests that there should be some value in their science and reasearch . Perhaps even the commercial viability of one / or more of their drugs .
* I am very VERY , relieved indeed to see that the `Cash` is in effect intact .
* I now believe that `Someone` DID (does?) want to buy the Company .
* I wonder if leaks re` an approach were first apparent around August last
year .
* Looking at the share price movement since then , there were two spikes , and then a sudden collapse one month before the `Bid Talks` 3rd Nov . Since that time little obvious progress with talks , and a total collapse in the share price to around half cash value of the Company . (You could surely be forgiven for imagining this has been a deliberate act of sabotage.)
* Obviously the benefit of these machinations would be appreciated by anyone wishing to buy the Company .
* This has the `Hallmark` of something `Not quite Gentlemanly` about it .
* Priced at half cash , are the years of research worth absolutely ZERO ?
* Has the `Predator` been directly responsible for the current share price scenario ?
* It wouldn`t be dificult , with so few shares in circulation .
* How , could the major shareholders in the business possibly accept this situation ?
* It looks like the business in it`s current format will be wound up , but these suggestions would surely only strengthen the position of any bidder .
* I can`t help feeling that the BoD have handled this whole situation very badly . They need to bring this whole saga to a conclusion as quickly as possible .
* Either the market thinks it`s all pants , or someone is dumping enough to keep this from rising .


Also :...I mentioned a few days ago that I thought there had been a little bit of `Sneaky` buying , I think in amongst the odd bit of profit taking , and err ,,,,`Dumping` , there has again been some interesting buying (at the right price.).

LOL ... While FQR714BHP was deramping and selling I was buying .. bought all of mine at 8p ... I KNEW it was way too cheap .. I hope PJ's shorters got burned nicely.

MM's - has suppressed the Shares. He does not give money easily - but some one is buying rapidly. I would hang until 35-40p, A minimum I would sell.

by the way my average is below 10 as i have been accumulating since drop so i am sure others may wll have profits, but still can not understand why they would sell at these levels after this announcement, it just does not make any sense?

Another sale of 77k, surprised many have a profit here but also a lot have been locked in for some time and possibly glad to get out with a lesser loss??

Guy. NPh were very unlucky, there drug would have been on the market if it was not for the placebo effect: "The SOFIA study showed that repetitive behaviours were reduced both by NPL-2008 and by placebo. This positive placebo response was unexpected, as two previous studies of the active ingredient of NPL-2008 had shown a positive effect of treatment in the absence of any placebo effect."

So the drug worked but for some unknown reason so did the placebo, were the placebo patients given the drug inadvertantly??

There is almost no risk whatsoever at buying at this price after today's announcement, as close to an odds on winner as you will ever get offerred, i am amazed at the share price reaction. (I am not just saying that because i hold, i am genuinely baffled)

I would not invest at these levels, as I doubt that there will be much more than £3-4m to distribute when all is said and done, this being in keeping with the current market cap. Come the end of March cash on hand will be circa £5m, so by the time you take into account professional fees, redundancy packages and other winding up costs, there will not be a vast amount of cash available for distribution. The bidder will likely then pick up the IP they are interested in on the cheap from the administrator and not have the hassle of disposing of the overheads which would otherwise come with the company.

Lombiff. I think you're spot on. Announcing the current cash as Dec 09 is definitely a smart move. I have to say it's quite a bit more that I thought it would be too.

More bad timing by me with my buys today at 13p. Lets hope the due dilligence is done soon and a reasonable offer made.This was back from May lasy year "Neuropharm's intention would be to conduct a further Phase III study for NPL-2008 with a modified trial design, incorporating the important findings and insights from SOFIA, which will be funded through the collaboration. It is expected that a deal will be signed by the autumn of this year." So possibly this is the party interested?

why oh why are people selling at 11.5p (cash value even with 4 months further run down must be 17p) or is this MMs trading with each other to keep it down, shake out a few impatient holders.

IMO this announcement was made to keep our bidder honest. If they were planning to bid below cash, they now know they won't get away with it.

I believe the due diligence process is ongoing to establish how much the IP is worth (on top of the cash).

Still sitting tight - but now feel more confident we'll get a bid north of 20p.

well they stated that "The Company is continuing talks with a
potentially interested party, which is in the advanced stages of due diligence,
but no indicative offer has yet been received from that party." i would take that as prety close to a formal offer and perhaps Fairdeal you are correct in assumption to return cash? this really should be higher if i had more funds i would buy more for a quick turn.

Being pragmatic about this they are proposing to return some cash to shareholders. To run their business normally they need that cash and a good deal more. So either they are very confident that they have nailed a deal (but can't formally announce) and thus dont need cash going forward, or a listing for that matter - or - they are completely incompetent (by giving up the cash and listing lifeblood needed by the company to continue operating).

Some good news but no offer after nearly 4 months and I imagine this is the reason it has only gone up a little. My break even is approx 17-18p

Always the way mate hard luck still got to be some upside from these levels, I need nearly 20p for profit!
