Not massive buying volume this morning for the 4.3% rise. Certainly hope the recent positives on here are a portent.

Very little stock on offer currently, IG have £5000 at full offer and then it moves higher, some retail brokers are 'at best' over 100,000 shares.

Looks pretty positive.

I am hopeful that the AGM statement and subsequent webcast will clear the fog on a number of issues. There appears to have been a concerted fear driven propaganda push by certain posters, much of the commentary is speculative and without foundation.

I am comforted by the exceptionally strong major shareholder base which includes the African Finance Corporation and a Non Exec Director, their combined stakes equate to circa 30% of the issued capital and probably cost more than £5m, more than the company is currently valued at.

Is this a punt, the answer is yes but given a near 85% drop the risk/reward is starting to favor the bulls IMO.

DYOR etc.

Should be an interesting week ahead, AGM Thursday & investor call, shares are deeply oversold and due a strong bounce.

Time to buy the lows.

Give the_sage1 credit for his determination to pump up this shipwreck.
I wish you well the_sage1, if people will buy shares in a dying company based on your support on an internet forum then fair play.

Still avoiding engaging then Yas.

It’s pretty clear what your game is.

Lurker,

I see you now allege NCCL has been overtaken by events - is that tacit acceptance that your thesis that this was construction ready all set to go and generate hundreds of millions for NCCL shareholders was flawed? Are you finally accepting that you made an egregious error in thinking this was the best thing since sliced bread. I do recall you appearing on the AAZ thread a few years ago when that was 80p and this was 10p, telling those readers they need to switch since AAZ would never have sufficient production in years to come due to limited mine life. Well, that stands at 120p or so, has acquired new acreage to extend future production while this has fallen from 10p to just over 1p - thankfully nobody took notice of your suggestion to switch.

Finally, you write " We shall see, but I don't regret having produced research on the scope for NCCL's shares"

You might not regret it, but anyone that took that guff (sorry, i mean research) seriously will certainly be regretting it since it has with the passage of time been shown to be all hot air. Nothing you suggested came true - not one thing.

Are you finally accepting you got it wrong? Or is this another one of your 'overtaken by events' disaster?

I cheerfully suggest next time you produce any analysis you take into account 'events' and factor in the same. No point getting it wrong again and again. The point of investing is to make money, not produce research that never pans out but leads to 90pc plus losses.

What is your research currently forecasting - chuckle chuckle.

Misterx,

You talk of an alternative view. Please can you advise what this alternative viewpoint is? If it is 'shares have fallen 90pc and must therefore rise at some point' then that is not particularly useful for purposes of discussing the merits of an investment here since that can apply to any long term dud.

But, if you have something specific re NCCL which you wish to share as to why you think it is on the cusp of dramatic change, let us have it. Stick to the facts - baseless speculation is of no use to anyone.

Dan/Yas

You see to avoid discussion of its not on your terms and instead adopt the steamroller technique.

Commonly known as (t)rolling.

Looks like the short positions are getting rattled, this bulletin board seems to have been invested with them for ever and an age, usually unchallenged, there does appear to be a alterative view coming forward ahead of the AGM right now, maybe just maybe, the time is right to pile into NCCL.

You decide.

Some are ignoring all the available evidence,
Others are blaming ‘overtaken by events’ like that doesn’t happen to every company and investor,
Others are still hyping this worthless company.

If you want to invest your cash in NCCL and buy more shares then go ahead,
But the wolf is at the door, the house is burning down. You either get out now with burns or die when the share price hits 0p.
Either way , you don’t have long to wait.

I will get the popcorn out and watch from the sidelines.

Wishing all medium and long term holders I am completely wrong, the evidence is incorrect, the track record is set to be broken and NCCL are about to pull off the deal of the century.
I just don’t see any evidence for it.

Well I don’t believe that normal people would spend the amount of time bashing stocks like you see on these boards, unless they have a motive to do so.

Now whether that’s a personal grudge, some using these boards as some sort of personal therapy session, or if they are being paid to post, you will never glean their true intentions as even were they to admit those you won’t know if that’s really the truth.

ADVFN is unmoderated, it’s akin to a cess pit when the mood takes it.

So I wouldn’t rule it out.

Its childish to accuse any company of being a 'lifestyle' company unless there is proof that it set out never to develop the project it said it was planning. If that turned out to be true, it could be sued, but I'm not aware of any such in recent years except one Canadian miner whose 'hole in the ground' turned out to be as Mark Twain warned there could be. Instead there are many companies, not only on AIM, whose projects for one reason or another were overtaken by events, especialy if their projects wer enecessarily very long in the planning, and I've never heard of them being sued. We don't know yet whether Tete will be overtaken by events, but you can be sure that in the run up to Cop26 China (and probably Mozambique which has a desperate need for power to take its people out of poverty and, lacking electricity, out of the need to burn wood instead, and has cheap coal on its doorstep) will have advised all involved to keep a low profile until all the fuss has died down. Meanwhile we see people on here who delight in (one in particular a long history of) denigrating anyone who they think is down, so their childish thuggery (and obvious lack of any significant management experience) can kick them. We shall see, but I don't regret having produced research on the scope for NCCL's shares. The thugs have never been able to do that. And are obviously incapable of doing so.

The more they bash the more likely prospective new investors can see what is going on - a line of thought exists suggesting there are MANY naked shorts currently on AIM, it looks like NCCL is one of them.

Time to burn those shorts !

Dan you spend an inordinate amount of time extolling advice on these boards, generally telling people why they should sell up.

Some may find that a little peculiar, and disingenuous.

I am amazed that someone would come on a public forum and declare that NCCL is a bargain and a buy because AIM shares always have an upwards bounce?

We have discussed long and in detail why NCCL as a company is a disaster and headed for 0p.

There’s nothing further to add in this regard, anyone with a critical mind (all investors should be sceptical) would see NCCL has arguably descended into a lifestyle company permitted by the other members of the board as they will end up with the solar project by mid December 21.

But let’s be very clear, the discussion over coal vs no coal is of no importance anymore.
I tend to agree with the optimist at most African countries especially those with large Chinese influence (not many still left without such influence) will use coal if it makes economic sense.
But if they do or they don’t, NCCL will have no part in it either way.
The company is on life support; although the BOD will ensure the life support isn’t turned off until mid December and the solar loan defaults leaving the only assets the company has in their hands.

NCCL is finished, it’s over.
If you have purchased NCCL shares in the past few years, even the past few months you have my full sympathy and support.
But if you have purchased NCCL shares since August then you need to stop investing in Stocks and shares as it’s not for you.
When it hits 0p you will only have yourself to blame.
Ask yourself, would any long term holder knowing how disappointing and disastrous the BOD have been, would they still buy in at over 1p?
I would hazard a guess that not many would take you up on the offer.

And to make it worse, you have purchased despite it being clear as mud the BOD have an end game for the companies demise taking the only assets the company has aka the solar project and that situation is only weeks away.

If it looks like a lada, drives like a lada, is as reliable as a lada, all the well wishes in the world won’t turn it into a Ferrari.

Or of course the other camp, that you sit in.

Yas you seem rather bitter and resentful.

What’s your beef?

Selective in whom you choose to respond to I see.

Agenda or just a chip? Bit pathetic either way.

There appear to be two camps on here. One corner thinks the coal project is already in the graveyard and the solar project will likely eventually be defaulted upon, leaving NCCL as a shell Co.

The other corner offers the view that the shares have fallen so far that they should therefore be the expectation of a significant bounce. They offer no substance other than that element of hope.

I think the former will pan out, although as earlier explained do not rule out a transient bounce.

Think next week will be interesting, will they give a general update before the AGM.

The shares could attract bottom fishers, RSI bombed out, share price down from 4p in May to 1.15p currently.

This could be the next double bagger (or more) on AIM.

"it will be interesting to hear what the company says this week during the AGM Q&A session"

Silverspoon,

Not sure they will say anything other than expressing optimism without any tangible progress - a process known as kicking the can down the road.

Some might take comfort from all that, but, it has never led to anything over the years. As for the questions, these will be selected from a pool that might have been submitted, but only those that are not worth the paper they are written on will be answered. This is not a cross examination but a PR exercise to calm a few disgruntled fools.
