I'm sorry but people don't sell shares for a figure knowing that they can get 10 times the price a year or two later. Especially when any good broker / bank will advance a short term loan circa 2.5% whilst holding stock as security.

They just DO NOT do it.

Now let me tell you what I know to be fact.

Nanoco signs Wah Hong in a loosely framed agreement on the understanding that Nanoco dots currently are not commwrcially 100%.

Nanoco promises that it will rectify any problems.

Wah Hong includes in a joint press release that they are building a plant to manufacture Nanoco incorporated technology. They need it anyway and if things don't work out with Nanoco they will switch supplier.

Nanoco are fully aware that without at least sight of their product sitting in a TV their bolt is shot and the company is doomed. Both Nanoco and Wah Hong lose credibility and Nanoco goes bust.

Wah Hong call up some customers and ask them to get one of their techies to bang in a screen in an already manufactured casing. They agree.

Nanoco then put them in a side room at CES. Industry hhackssee it for what it is. Shareholders claim eureka!

A few months down the line Nanoco announce a fundraising crica 38-40p.

Qdots are here to stay, They will be in every set within 5 years with a few exceptions at the cheapest end.

Hisense, TCL and Philips all moving across to cad free and away from Nanosys who are dead meat.

If you cant see it you must be blind or in denial. Look at Mercks urgency to build their factory. That"s the next big RNS.

The technology is just setting out. Dow and merck will prevail over Hansol, too.

Whilst it did remind me of the Apple display that was once demo'd , I think an RNS is of more substance.
However, it's all about revenue v funding requirement
It might be that this RNS isn't big enough to get one off the ground but the next one might be , eh syd/chaba?

ME has well and truly kidded yiu guys here. What amounts to a mock up TV has deluded the lemmings yet again. No production line. No Sales. No profit visibility and you guys are jumping up and down like a box of frogs.

Chaba1 it's beginning to fall into place with Hansol not having the capex to expand after expanding their tech to start metal plating the QDs too.

I would be very surprised if there is not a QDTV with Nanoco dots in it in the shops somewhere in the world by the end of Q2 17... Why do I feel like the only member of the board feeling extremely positive about the future of Nanoco??

The QD revolution is happening, thank you Samsung!! Ok Samsung do not contain QD's supplied by Nanoco but it seems confirmed now that the major QDTV competition does.. and so what if that competition hasn't got the brand name LG!! It's their problem if they continue down the OLED market.. in my opinion the two top TV manufacturers will soon be one Korean and the other Chinese.. My point being that in a year's time when your man in Curry's is explaining to people that a Hisense/TCL/Philip's QDTV is just as good as the £300 more expensive Samsung one all we're concerned about is that the non Samsung sets will have nano dots in them!! And if LG do get their act together they will too have Nano dots in them, great news for nano today, because we sell quantum dots, CES TV's will all be about the quantum dots, the reviews comparison's will be about the quantum dots... What do we sell.... Quantum dots!!!

It's going to be hard to distinguish between genuine game changing news and an ME ramp to get another fund raising away. Felt today's RNS was clearly progress but all very slow so to me MEs sell together with no chunky commercial deals announced indicates that they are likely to need extra cash as they wont want to run to close to the edge. So I'm still staying on the sidelines and watching

Chaba1 yes Samsung will work with DOW but you have to remember the LG licence with DOW has not been terminated, and LG might be using its colour filter film to get the QDs into a cell.We don't know yet and the supply for QDs doesn't make sence when most press are speculating and calling them QDs.Chaba1 was you sitting with Stifel?

Syd, LG only use the name of CFQD. They said nano cell will be better than QD. Anyway, My analyst told me that DOW still works with Samsung. By the way, I sit in the same row as you Syd. I wish this year will be the year of Nanoco.

Chaba1 yes I did hear what ME said when I asked him about LG he said they used Quantum display but their new TV line up seems to indicate a new 1 Nm quantum dot,are they producing them by themselves or are the using their film filters from CFQDs supplied from DOW to achieve the results?

The great thing is that slippy and his pals have taken out all the low conviction holders. So the remaining few have a company that has contracts with world players plus a contract with an impressively agile smaller player like WH. We now have three volume players agreeing to their name being associated with Nano CFQD. We have all of these strands of momentum and we are barely off the all time lows. WOW!What a share to hold for the future!!

As Andy suggests (8830) it looks as if QDs are now heading into the mass market rather than just the high-end and very pricey (and very lovely) Samsung machines we have been seeing up to now. This has to increase significantly the demand for QDs.

It will also be interesting to see exactly what LG's Nano Cell technology is. Several tech press reviews pre-CES (eg Trusted Reviews, Tech Radar, PC Advisor) indicate that it uses QDs (whose?).

The LG conference at CES is at around 4:00am GMT so we should know more tomorrow.

As a LTH of Nanoco I wasn't expecting much from CES as it is a Consumer Electronics Show not a technology forum so am pleasantly surprised this morning.

Mrplay they laughed at me too when I said 2-4 OEMs might sign up,well can't complain with 3.There has not been any mention from LG for its supply of QDs that are filterd through its own film company LG display to get an even match for the dots.
