25/1/2019 11:01 | You have to buy where the company is going. You'll never get all the reassurances in the present and still be able to get a bargain. Anyway, more good news. Nano hinting at more short-term contracts some of which will be transformational. Watch this space. RoHS exemption for cadmium coming to an end soon. Next EU target will be InP taking out Samsung and Nanosys. Whoever this US client is they are happy to pay to secure supply and exclusivity. Display now on the back burner. But enough momentum with Dow, Merck, Plessey, Wah Hong and Kyulex, both short and longer term. | rochdae
25/1/2019 10:19 | Nice to see revenues but what is the current cash burn ?It will be larger now that the new facility is operational. As you said like old like another fund raise coming. You know Edelman and crew will be loading cheaply again while average investors won't be able to participate.Lets see how many shares he sells between now and then. | ih_169538
25/1/2019 10:02 | Nice to see production but not so sure that those volumes are self sustaining? Still loss making FY20 so will need to raise cash? | howl01
25/1/2019 09:55 | Patience was all that was needed and now investors can enjoy the ride. | trt
25/1/2019 09:42 | Finally getting moving on revenue. Long it continue!! | bagpuss67
25/1/2019 09:30 | Edison Flash With £3m of revenue already contracted prior to this agreement, this implies the extension has a total value of £6–7m to be recognised broadly equally across H2 of FY19 and H1 of FY20 | roadster750
25/1/2019 08:55 | TRT - you must be THE major shareholder now?! | howl01

25/1/2019 07:44 | 50p at close, great news | notimpressed
25/1/2019 07:39 | Great news but in fact they had completed the contract as at the announcement on 24 Dec. And had a risk of not re signing. So I was correct to express significant concern at that stage given previous comments by the company that suggested the stress testing and commercial phase was in the bag | bagpuss67

25/1/2019 07:13 | The Group noted in its Preliminary Results announcement, on 16 October 2018, that revenue was expected to double in the financial year ending 31 July 2019. At that time, approximately £3.0m of revenue was noted as being under contract, with further potential agreements under active discussion. Successful delivery of the services under the contract extension noted above will fully underpin those revenue expectations and also add a similar sum to the backlog of future revenue expected in FY20. The contract extension also underpins the Board's current expectations for operating results and cash flows. The Group remains in active discussion on additional potential commercial agreements with a number of parties that could create upside to these expectations. | mip55
25/1/2019 07:12 | Contract extension signedNanoco Group plc (LSE: NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other specific nanomaterials emanating from our technology platform, today announces that it has signed a contract extension to deliver additional services and materials to an undisclosed US Company (the 'US Company'). | mip55
24/1/2019 05:23 | This is a really good (if not rather technical) article on nano ir sensors. Under the toxicity header it mentions copper chalcogenides which are cited as a promising low toxicity alternative to Hg or Pb based QD. That fits with ME"s comments on the dots based on their past GIGS/CIS R&D and I think there are Invisage patents for devices using the same. In the scale up section there is a rough calculation on material requirements which is interesting. Although it is based on HgTe the numbers give a good idea of the quantities of material required. I'm guessing the CIS dots would command a higher premium but the example used is 2m units requiring 50kg dots - they're going to need to be producing massive numbers to generate any really substantial revenue. At $20-30k / kg that's only 1-1.5m revenue. | howl01
23/1/2019 22:09 | I guess this is confirmation of the failure to win the AUO / BFGD supply. | howl01
23/1/2019 07:52 | Nanoco may not be the only company supporting such initiatives, but at least they ARE one of them.Plus their drive to reduce overall energy usage, as well as huge developments in medical procedures, vehicle safety, fitness clothing, and the like.Makes it a totally worthwhile investment - if not so financially rewarding, ... yet. | jfacwc

21/1/2019 10:14 | I noticed the Needham report referred to the partner as a "Large U.S. Strategic" for the first time, typical of Nanoco to use ambiguous terms, but I see that FLIR have a big military relationship! | roadster750
21/1/2019 00:54 | That would be a bit of a climb down fom Apple to say the least! As I said, Apple is no news until it is confirmed, IF ever! No indications that Flir have anything at all lined-up where NANO are concerned or they would have been likely including some hints in their CES round-up: | lauders
20/1/2019 21:20 | FLIR look to have been very active at CES - there's lots of YouTube videos from their demos and talks on IR imaging. | howl01
18/1/2019 14:24 | New installation using plessey leds gives an idea of potential of future business | roadster750
