Can't be having too low an opinion of Lombard? They have been major with nano some considerable time, and making a cool (near) half million profit over 8 months is what we are all after.

with this volume is it not unreasonable
to assume the share price should have risen higher?

Would be nice to break through 50p. I remember when I though it was bad that it fell through £1!

I still believe that this is getting prepared for the US as they have some say and influence. They probably know better than management on how to grow this company.

watson ME et al could be more forthcoming with updates
but par for the course, we are back to the mushroom syndrome,
kept in the dark and fed on manure.

Enteleon,

Exactly, Wiggin's CV is marketing, sales and customer facing.

He needed to step up to tight production timeframes or the business would be penalised with reduction in milestone payments. The Yanks may be generous but they are not fools and won't pay for failure.

As for Blain, it's probably the same story.

It's a cruel world business. At least Nano are learning the hard way having to cull 40% of their staff in the last 24 months. But maybe those dumpted didn't have much more to offer.

Such is the nature of capitalism and how you make money of other people....

But don't give me the 'he was a great businessman' nonsense. It just doesn't stack up at this point in time.

ih- thanks for the Wiggins CV. Significant that Wiggins had serious experience with Dow, presumably the reason he was employed by Nano, but now he moves on. As a chemist, turned marketing/business guy, he's unlikely to have the production engineering experience to get a complex and sensitive production process going at Runcorn.

Display flat-lining- industry reluctant to take up QDots, despite Dow/duPont's quality certification of Nano QDots. No word ref. AUO, Kyulux et al. To bear out your point, rochdae, Dow have committed at least $50M to their QDot factory build, with apparently no commercial success so far.

All points to a brave new direction for Nano. As the Yanks would say- Nano is starting over !

Trust me rochdae the guy is well experienced in all the aspects of which you mention. As for why the departure - who knows? You seem to have the impression they were pushed? Maybe they felt circumstances are such they believe it's time to cut their ties and disagree with the direction the company's taking. Certainly strategy is all over the place and now everyone is supposed to believe in a product/technology that was recently being touted for sale. An unknown partner and unknown end product/market/margin etc etc. The investment is actually relatively modest - do chemical companies invest millions installing plant that is ultimately not utilised? Damn right they do - you may be surprised how common it is and it seems the larger the company the more common it is and larger the sums involved. (Have a look at Air Products' waste to energy plants on Teesside as an extreme example) A lot more information required to make any informed opinion and any investment is a total punt. The CEO's behaviour does not help build confidence.

Easy to say someone's wrong without evidence to the contrary. In fact it's a sign of lunacy.

If Wiggins was such a great asset why has he gone? Any reasoned explanation?

And your last post is evidence of shallow thinking. At least comment on what you are trying to say.
