09/8/2017 16:04 | well that's a gap filled. | boris cobaka
09/8/2017 15:02 | boris, to be fair my friend, I did say "ratified (or not)..." Although IN MY OPINION I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be, although of course, I could be wrong. | sd_anon
09/8/2017 14:53 | Just topped up (again!). Should see plenty of positive news flow over the next few weeks. GLA | techno20
09/8/2017 14:50 | would that be assuming it's ratified? | boris cobaka

09/8/2017 14:35 | Hardly any TV's sold with cadmium Qdots anyway. Product cycles mean no-one can plan with certainty. 3M threw in the towel. They don't see a future in it. And the quality gap between cad and cad free is no longer there to a great extent. So, Nano commercial, Dow commercial, Wah Hong with orders, ROHS sorted. Next Merck factory build.. | kuss1
09/8/2017 14:23 | Regardless of whether the cadmium ban is in place by the time stated, using cadmium QD's is likely to be a complete no, no from now on for any manufacturer wanting credibility for its products. By the time the ban comes in, it won't matter anyway, as companies will have long since shifted to CFQD. | andycapped
09/8/2017 13:58 | Mr Oz - I don't think a date has been announced, so in theory, it could be anytime (within regulatory statutory reporting timescales). I was initially disappointed not to get an update this Monday but if delaying means there is more news that can be shared then fine by me. Things seem to be progressing fast, I'm more interested in forward looking statements than the last financial year, not to say that the cash position won't be interesting! | sd_anon
09/8/2017 13:44 | Weaver (the resigning accountant of Quantum Material) seemed to be a large respectable firm and have been replaced by a two accountant firm. | bagpuss67
09/8/2017 13:34 | someone keen to offload at 34p into the volume | sportbilly1976
09/8/2017 13:29 | QTTM accountants resigned...."On July 27, 2017, the Board of Directors was notified by Weaver & Tidwell, LLP (“Weaver” "Subsequent to December 31, 2016 and prior to the filing of this Form 10-Q/A, there has been a complete change in the Company’s accounting staff, including the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to March 31, 2017, the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”)" Quantum Materials creaking a bit.....need the equity facility to pay up to stay alive... | bagpuss67
09/8/2017 13:13 | yes better volume today. Looks like we have the ol' iceberg to munch through. The pick up in volume will help the munching but I suspect we'll likely to see a bit more weakness before finally bottoming. | boris cobaka
09/8/2017 13:08 | Many buys just be lapped up... | bagpuss67
09/8/2017 12:42 | Full Yr results were 8th Aug last year Anybody know the schedule for this year's update please? | mr.oz
09/8/2017 12:29 | Cadmium in displays is over. The exemption (remember it's an exemption we're talking about)has already expired technically. The EU Parliament wouldn't agree to extend and the Commission know it can't force the issue. They've given in. It's why 3M withdrew their cadmium film and ended their tie-up with Nanosys. TCL, Hisense, Philips, Asus and the rest of the industry won't plan any launches now with cadmium Qdot film. It's just not going to happen... Dow now pushing their cad free product commercially. Tie ups with film coaters etc... SKC prioritising Qdot film. Runcorn selling commercial volumes to Wah Hong. QD vision's dead, Nanosys is next. Nanjing in China only recently started on cad free production. Nano has a 17 year head start on them. Merck factory build next piece of news soon. Dow royalties should kick in soon, too. | kuss1
09/8/2017 12:05 | SlippyFull of the proverbial as usual. All new QD products from here on in will be CF. Sure there will be a tail off old designs that have to be cleared out. The factory is built the product is future compliant and orders will start to flow. This is the safest it has ever been and will survive a small placing. There will be a short hiatus period where the old QD stuff is sold off pound shop wise but it has no future. Time to get behind nanoco. | tonsil
09/8/2017 11:58 | From Edison, While the best-case scenario for Nanoco would clearly have been for the exemption to have not been renewed at all, the exemption has been extended for the minimum possible period and, when this expires...... We are still talking years away. Nanoco msy not even be a going concern by then. As you can all see. There will be no ban in place on display by Xmas. | slipperysidewinder
09/8/2017 11:53 | New Edison research note out reaffirms bright prospects for nanoco. | tonsil
09/8/2017 11:52 | No it is not. | slipperysidewinder
09/8/2017 11:47 | EU Parliament already overwhelmingly rejected extending the exemption - passing the ban is in fact a formality. | howl01
09/8/2017 11:47 | Slippy you'r getting excited again. Take you'r medication man. | trycky
09/8/2017 11:44 | WW As ususl I see your thoughts are echoed in the share price NOT | slipperysidewinder
09/8/2017 11:35 | Any OEM thinking of using cadmium based products as part of their product road map over the next decade will be encouraged rethink this morning.I doubt very much they will get a lot of reassurance reading slippys posts. | wigwammer |
