The google photo is this year according to the description on the bottom right of the page.

When in 2017 I couldn't say.

My own position is clear, my money is on Nanoco, hence why I take an interest in this board. It's not on QMC, which I just think is a gamble too far for me, and the only other major player I can think of is Nanosys, which is a private company.

I haven't written Nanosys off, but I think they're on unsteady ground now, what with the facilities there for Cad free at an industrial scale. They seem to have gone pretty quiet compared to their usual robust PR machine, but we will see how things pan out. Don't think we have much longer to wait now.

Crunch I think your CEO after attaining 99.5% with RED CFQDs thinks his in bed with Apple.Their Hybrid is based on Blue, and he is dreaming of supplying the mobile industry 🤣

Anyone following this story for any length of time will realise that the development cycle is a protracted and expensive one. It's something of a leap to suggest a commercial stage product from s patent application - in an already heavily protected IP area at that. From all the information I have seen only one company (2 including Dow) has a commercially available product offering and has moved through to advanced evaluation phase with OEMs. Other companies' claims are just that and not evidenced.

Regarding the factory shot, what date was that taken? If it's recent it means something. Otherwise nothing.

As far as claiming Nanosys is going down by some..

hxxp://www.freshpatents.com/-dt20170720ptan20170204326.php

Nanoco is far from alone in producing cad free..take that into consideration with your investment. The question is..how big will the pie be ? Lots to go around if its worth billions ..just gotta figure out who has the ability to stick around when quantum dots get commoditized.

Never said that, did I. But there's been more than strong hints over the past year or so, so I do think if they're not supplying them at the moment, it may very well be the case in the future. Samsung were sampling from Dow at the tail end of 2016 weren't they, why would they do that if they weren't interested in using them in a product?

The dots were probably a bit too expensive in the past, but with the improvements in yield and performance, perhaps they're back in the game.

Then it has to be true that they are supplying Samsung because they are close ? They have been near each other in their same buildings for many years now and no supply deal.

Someone posted this link up on LSE. It shows cars parked up outside the Dow plant, but also look how close the Samsung factory is, right next door!

"All I can suggest is lookup 'confirmation bias' and question whether negative posters are as evil as you think or maybe their views are worth taking into account.."Thank you for conceding that confirmation bias is something that affects bears as well as bulls.Perhaps slippy will bear your point in mind next time he avoids a question about NANO's valuation.

Onething,

You rightly suggest that a fan club isn't a great place to be and that a balance of views is more healthy.

However you seem to be overlooking that Kuss's posts are generally based around fact, reason or logic, which is an infinitely more valuable place to come from than the baseless cynicism and conjecture that some people on this board only indulge in - they know who they are.

Kuss - sometimes it's easy to only hear the dissenting voices. I for one appreciate your informed input.

"Confirmation bias"This can affect bears as well as bulls. With the shares 70%+ off the peak, it is pretty clear which bias is more easily confirmed.Sorry that many long term holders are suffering here - it can make them vulnerable to bad advice.

TCL seem to have finally released the X2 - but is it cadmium free? No joy from multiple email enquiries to their sales team. Very uninspiring/unreliable outfit with regards claims / releases. X1 evaporated and X3 TBC (now purporting MEMC tech). If Dow are producing for anyone already it's probably TCL but they really need work on brand credibility.

Over time you come to realise that every 'hot' stock, and I would still class Nano as a hot stock due to its undoubted potential, has a lucid and detail rich champion who, by all accounts has invested a great deal of money to back their conviction for that company. I think these people are, by and large, genuine. In that they believe in what they are doing. Other posters/holders love this as the 'expert poster' validates their decision to hold, especially in the face of a challenging share price situation. What people fail to realise is that they do not know this expert poster. Yet they hang on to their every word. And negative posters! How annoying are they!!! They must be deramping to support their outrageous short position. All I can suggest is lookup 'confirmation bias' and question whether negative posters are as evil as you think or maybe their views are worth taking into account even if after real thought you can discount their views and feel better about your own. A fan club is never a good thing to be in, and shame on those posters who suggest alternative views are simply mischief making. There are many more readers of this bulletin board than those that post, and they are looking for help in their investments. They should not be fooled into an idea that there are no negatives to weigh up here. Let's face it, no repoerted revenues. When there is evidence of this let the fun begin, but until a new technology has established itself it is a lottery, and far more expensive to play than the £2 a week on the national Lottery.

Hi all, there is a lot I like about this BB. However (like many of you I think) there are some things that can spoil it. I propose a set of guidelines, which I will adopt and you are free to do so too if you wish. All just IMO.

1. Discussion of facts preferably backed up with sources.
2. Competitors in the market are entirely relevant to any company and are therefore a fair and reasonable topic of discussion. The same is true of the wider market/industry, end products, potential substitute products/technologies etc etc.
3. Both optimistic and pessimistic points of view are welcome. However, every company has strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and therefore contributors should note that their opinions may carry more weight with the board if they are backed up with a BALANCED consideration of the facts and sound, logical reasoning.
4. Ranting and raving about imminent riches or certain doom spoils the board for everyone.
5. No personal attacks please. If you wish to provide a counter-argument to someone else’s opinion then do so based on facts and reason.
6. If you really can’t get on with a fellow contributor then just don’t engage with them. You are free to have your own conversations and they are free to do so too. That’s the nature of a public board, getting into spats just spoils the board for others.

Dependent of price fluctuations of most companies including Apple, there is BBs for all to give their opinions. However this BB has a lot of negative post from certain short holders and other competitors from North America, always having a negative view regardless of anything Nanoco gives out through an RNS.This BB is monitored by Nanocos PR as I have found out,and its a shame it's not like the LSE BB where 85% is upbeat comments regardless. This BB has a 30/70 in favour for the company and while long term holders believe in the new nanotechnology,It also frustrates them when reality is not being portrayed by certain posters .Mapacho/Kuss has been a fundamental poster with his belief in new emerging technologies and I hope he stays here.Especially when he was recognised after the first commercial Nanoco/WH order by many posters.A former employee of the LSE will no doubt be rewarded for his patience without the buying, selling scenario that day traders eventually lose out on.He will prosper by a HOLD situation and will have the last laugh. The train has left the platform and is about to reach record breaking speed! I always look forward to Enteletons and Sinbads posts and hope PC is back at this price ,then again BORIS CHOKBA could be PC ;) or goose ;(

Onething,

Not bad form at all. Just to see negatives in every vaguely positive post is somewhat odd.

It's people like you and the slippery's of this world that begin to make sharing insight hardly worth it at all.

So I'll say adios from these boards and won't return... Got better things to do with my time...
