09/7/2015 15:08 | you see now they blame shareholders for voting in the AGM and no NOMAD welling to accept them yet. game over. | paul the octopus
09/7/2015 13:48 | Doubt it Paul. The shares are already in de-listing territory. They will re-list at some point and a lot higher then this. Why sell now unless your desperate for cash? | taxibabe
09/7/2015 10:28 | here comes sub 1p | paul the octopus
07/7/2015 18:04 | First time back for a long long time. Mining companies only ever been good for trading long term holders of mining in aim will normally always get shafted. The way I look at it long term holders have got more chance of being struck by lighting than becoming rich out of holding mining stocks. Sobering thought eh? Now is that thunder I hear? | bigdazzler
07/7/2015 17:53 | Looking increasingly like a well planned delisting and taken private.Put a load of unwanted directors on the board all with Chinese ties. Force the CEO Mpinga into resigning, knowing the nomad and broker will also exit. Then release an rns saying delist if no nomad. Everyone starts selling, the Chinese buy up your shares so they increase their stake further. This company will never be what it once promised to be.I invested for Mpinga and the boards good relations with the Zimbabwean authorities and with Zanu-pf.It's all over now for mwana shareholders.China wins again. | apfindley
07/7/2015 15:57 | Commodities are getting massacred today, particularly nickel, which is compounding the hit on Mwana. Nickel is now under $10,500/tn, down 10% in one day, after it already took a big hit yesterday. | redtrend
07/7/2015 15:11 | Dogi - thats my thinking too . There should not be a difficulty unless the due diligence threw up a concern with the individuals. This just might be gift time and I couldnt resist | juju44
07/7/2015 15:02 | yup, I'm sure it's been said before, but Edison called this before it happened. They said as none of the proposed directors have been subject to due diligence by Peel Hunt, their position as Nomad would be untenable. That doesn't mean they found something wrong with the new directors. It's just they haven't done due diligence on them. If you look at the new directors and their history I don't really understand why they won't be able to find another Nomad. Mark Wellesley-Wood, Dr Scott Morrison, Olivier Barbeau and Anne-Marie Chidzero all have pretty strong backgrounds and a few of them are already with listed companies. Wellesley-Wood even worked for Ambrian. He must surley know a Nomad that will take them on. | doji star
07/7/2015 14:56 | Peel Hunt were always going to resign after the vote - nothing much to do with crooks at that point | juju44
07/7/2015 14:51 | Could well be below 1p by end of week but I do not intend to add any more to my potential loss. Out of my four give it a go shares I have now only one left with a reasonable chance of a good profit and it is not MWA. | timgw
07/7/2015 10:03 | guess the nomad already viewed them as punch of crooks, hence resigned, next delisting to confirm itwon't punt on crooks | paul the octopus
07/7/2015 09:13 | The delist is not a given , unless they are a bunch of crooks . If they are not we are in " worth a punt " territory . Just might see a move up soon from here | juju44
07/7/2015 08:58 | time ticking and delisting v likely, well done BOD | paul the octopus
07/7/2015 07:47 | Don't think they are vipers necessarily. Just exceptionally incompetent. Must be nice taking a large salary for doing f-all. The whole BOD here should be sacked | asturius101
06/7/2015 18:00 | First lift in Bindura in some time - up 10% . Price here says MWA is toast. If we get a new Nomad it will leap . Another unmitigated AIM rip off . What a den of vipers | juju44
06/7/2015 17:40 | Halifax only notified me today of the fact MWA had got rid of its nomad and the consequences maybe others have only just found out which could explain drop today? | postiga08
06/7/2015 17:08 | Quiet in here today... | postiga08
06/7/2015 08:22 | gfrae, it seems you were referring to Dearing when you called him an ambulance chaser type lawyer. You told us in no uncertain terms that he got on well with Ning. It's therefore possible Ning used Dearing to prompt a boardroom coup. | mr macgregor
05/7/2015 18:11 | For those interested in mining companies check this Interview with Charles Gibson: Head of Mining at Edison Research | ben658
05/7/2015 16:48 | This thread is beginning to look like the AFR thread. This whole business stinks and is typical of the cesspit that is AIM. I won't be investing here again, but want to wish holders well and hope you don't get shafted. | mreasygoing
05/7/2015 16:30 | I did not say who was paying Dearing. I do not know who is or was paying Dearing. It is illogical that a lawyer would take on a case that if successful he would lose money. I find it very hard to believe that the group of shareholders for whom he says were supporting him were paying him. As a shareholder he will now be sitting on losses, and those who supported him will also be sitting on losses. My own posts unfortunately don't tell me who was paying Dearing,or if his losses have been underwritten. Who do you think paid Dearing (or underwrote his losses), Mr MacGregor ? | gfrae
04/7/2015 10:37 | Read your own posts. gfrae 11 Sep'14 - 13:59 - 5364 of 7338 LP,I think the Chairman said that they had already changed from KPMG in London to South Africa and had made a substantial cost saving as a result,he also said that they had had partner rotation at KPMG. The question was raised by a "shareholder" who appeared to be an an ambulance chaser type lawyer, who boasted that he had been involved in other shareholder actions, fishing for disgruntled shareholders -he and Mr Ning got on well. | mr macgregor
03/7/2015 12:07 | It would be insider trading if it was insider trading. A new nomad does not necessarily solve the problem. Dearing and his supporters have now made this company a "Chinese company on AIM",and therefore likely to be valued very cheaply, even with a nomad. Does anyone know who was paying Dearing ? or if his losses have been underwritten? | gfrae
03/7/2015 10:47 | Are the directors allowed to buy/sell while looking for a new nomad? or would it be classed as insider trading? | pca
02/7/2015 18:00 | Red,do you really think that it is credible that: a) The private investors and their advisers were not aware of the consequences if their motion were to succeed? b)That he had not been in touch directly or indirectly with the Chinese investors? Do we know who was paying Dearing ? He must now be sitting on losses, unless someone was underwriting him,and have some very angry clients ? His "success" has so far cost Mwana shareholders 40% of their holding or £12m in paper and or realised losses.Arguably, a lot more as the shares have been held back while awaiting the outcome of the EGM. | gfrae |
