Exactly WS. Check out the weekly chart. MWA is very close to popping. A bit like my Asiatic Lillies.

The 2p level acting as a ceiling for the minute. When we get through that, the upside will be rapid, and perhaps won't stop until circa 3-4p, or even the 6-7p range.

Pity I have so little spare cash to top up at the moment.

I did the same, ie. voted against all the resolutions, even the one I agreed with, just to make the point that the calling of this EGM is ill conceived and amateurish. The clincher for me is Dearing picking up ex board members who were only in it for themselves first time around.

Just called my broker, and voted against all 10 resolutions...

Perhaps I suggest we don't need more chiefs, but, a new political system in Zimbabwe, and a board who need to look outside that small corner of the globe to diversify production.

The Chinese will gamble on two rain drops running down a window. We need some transparency, but are unlikely to get it.

wind blowing in the right direction. as much as I hate it to say - where the china based investors are involved nothing good happens :(
Once I thought that it is a strategic partner securing markets and financing. Forget it from my humble experience.

Caedwalla... You DO know, that there are 1.4BILLION Chinese don't you?

It might not be the same half-dozen with Wellesley-Wood (or same company/Venture Cap Group)

Anyway, I just hope these are tightly held, and will be slow to release, after 10+ years of watching, waiting, and holding, I am gonna be seriously PO'd if they get taken out for a pittance.

Of Course, Uncle Bob might have had his palm greased to allow a Chinese take-away to happen...

RNS today - nice little lever for MWA in an arena which should have some influence

Interesting article Redtrend. I take it that the Chinese were instrumental in kicking out Wellesley-Wood so they are unlikely to team up with him now. If so, the EGM will come to nothing which seems the best outcome to me. Kalaa implies that other parties are bickering and it is all as a big distraction and he just wants to get on with the job.

Bit more background info behind the upcoming EGM:

Most info already known, but this portion I found interesting: "Wellesley-Wood was hoping for the company to pay relocation fees to Johannesburg as well as share options totalling £1m that could not be diluted. "There was a unanimous decision to vote him off," said Mpinga"

I've voted against all the resolutions - even against No.10 as it just goes without saying the Board and CIMG/ Ning need to resolve their differences.

Don't get me wrong, there have been some management failings (recent ones being delays in updates, release of sensitive information at Indaba Conference etc.), but these are far outweighed by the positives in my mind and the fact we're even still in business with Gold & Nickel prices where they are and the geography of the producing assets (Zimbabwe). I have my fingers crossed that even if there isn't a major rebound in commodity prices in the short - medium term, we will be shielded by the completion of the smelter at the end of this year (if completed on schedule). And if there is a rebound, particularly with Nickel, it will be bonanza time for Mwana.

Looks like a new Chinese player has picked up part of Ning's holding. Could this be the start of a concert party t/o bid?
