08/12/2020 14:14 | Interesting - I went to a couple of investors events years ago and realised like you that it messes with objectivity. Especially after meeting 'nice' MD's and then finding they were talking a load of... Yes it was a presentation that didn't seem to have the usual brown-nosing from the presenter and plenty of information to look at. Forgot about interims, not expecting much - am in here for quite long term, which should work out OK. It all seems to make sense to me - I'd expect a rise in bad debts - seems inevitable with covid effect. Particularly interesting seeing the stats. on Monzo, not giving credit and the comments about 11mln of those users as potential customers. Certainly ambitious. | yump
08/12/2020 14:06 | Yump, Interims in two weeks. In the past I used to go to AGMs and visit companies to suss management. Now with the likes of Directors Talk, Proactive, etc, it gives another angle. I stopped visiting companies after I realised it can lead to bonding and bad decisions. Make the odd phone when warranted. That Proactive presentation is fascinating. I thought the host was on the ball. | simon gordon
08/12/2020 13:40 | So many hubristic CEO's - difficult to know which ones are risky and which ones aren't. At least this isn't a flying stock with one. I guess the temporary interest will wane shortly, won't be much news here now for quite a while. Surprised no holdings RNS from the 5mln trades on 4/12. Presumably below notifiable for both parties. | yump
08/12/2020 13:31 | Take care, this is a medium hold for me. Recovery play. | albert arthur
08/12/2020 13:29 | After watching the Proactive presentation I've sold out. Had experience in the past with a hubristic CEO and at some point it leads to nemesis. Good luck to holders! | simon gordon
08/12/2020 13:19 | Good points sphere but the danger as ever if you look on twitter you have the same one line pumpers involved once they get bored and move on it I'll consolidate low 40s. A lot of blue sky traders have been buying not really understanding the risk, now as it retreats will find themselves underwater | ronwilkes123
08/12/2020 13:08 | Further to that post yesterday, you can see the power of psychological marks with 50p continuing to attract sellers. The price is consolidating recent gains with a support and resistance range of about 47-50 atm. There was an absolute barrage of buying down in the early and mid 30's so not shoddy gains for short termers at these price levels. I know we're not that popular :-) There is still alot of delivery risk here imo and we don't know when the wider market is going to correct, which is why I'm lobbing along the way, but waiting for the price to settle and watching for a breach of that key 50p mark to add some back . It's better to have a longer consolidation period so the eventual breakout is more sustainable. MCL is also prone to massive spikes so when it breaks higher, it really can lurch enormous, as per recent moves. Some notable buying would bring more interest. Not here for the long term though... Feel free to have a good grumble at the trader community now :-D $$$!!!%%$$$ with their !!$$%%%&&&am As per always, two pennies worth DYOR | sphere25
08/12/2020 12:41 | Can't see this getting beyond 50p without positive news - world his wife are on the sell at 50p | ronwilkes123
08/12/2020 11:16 | It's the bid that's weak That needs to strengthen and move up imho | ronwilkes123
08/12/2020 11:12 | Ask back up to 52pWho ever sold might not get back in cheaper wink wink | sbb1x
08/12/2020 10:49 | Eh that doesn't make sense | ronwilkes123
08/12/2020 10:47 | Sellers might get locked out here... wink wink | sbb1x
08/12/2020 10:39 | Got rid of a few sellers.... now free to move up.... could see 55s today oh yeah | sbb1x
08/12/2020 10:28 | Still a fair few sellers at this level 10% squad strikes again lol | ronwilkes123
08/12/2020 10:07 | Ask upped to 52pShort term target 70pThey must be taking loads of work of amigo as they are not lending at present | sbb1x
08/12/2020 09:07 | Re old CFO leaving: perhaps given the surprise announcement/level of digital losses, he wasn’t on top of the figures as much as necessary. Financial qualifications don’t always mean competence. On the other hand I’m not sure I’d want to have family matters aired. Other than “thanks for the valuable contribution” not sure what else can be said. As usual can only judge this on what’s been said about the business itself. Imo a steady haul from here. Unless more institutions get involved. | yump

07/12/2020 20:42 | Watched the Proactive presentation this afternoon and a couple of things rankled: -Discussing the idea of an equity raise, if the right big acquisition arose, whilst the share is in the toilet was ridiculous - where's the focus?! Why even entertain the idea publicly right now! -The reason for the CFO leaving seemed very weak, he lived in Hants and the old 'family' spiel line. Why the heck couldn't he hang on until the Prelims were out or lock down had ended? To drop that news one day after lockdown started was stupid and sub 20p skinned a few. I can understand the operational attraction of the new CFO but he does come with tainted love. Other than that, he seemed confident about the loan book. At least the old CFO held the book from March to November and will probably be inducting the new guy and hand holding him, so that's reassuring. If he wasn't around it would be a bit more uncertain and nervy for holders. He is the ballast in the maelstrom. | simon gordon
07/12/2020 18:00 | They've also set up a call centre, so email, text message or on the phone. It's all about your credit rating. Look how big a scene checking your rating has become. | simon gordon
07/12/2020 17:28 | I guess the money reminder letter/email is sent via digital...as soon as it hits the in box it sounds a digital alarm!... I suppose my comment isn't even exclusively focused on Morse but rather everyone in this space. But it is such a simple question; 'How do you collet bad loans when you've gone digital and stopped door-step visits | diku
