Is Technical Services - the old bell weather of how MITIE was really doing - in as bad shape as I fear.

Why would you have fixed price contracts with long term visible profits in an fm environment! Ugh! Short term planned construction in times of certainty a possibility but long term fm? Not good management when visible long term revenue speak is being used in business updates imo. Use your own thoughts mine are mine but happy to share.

I think it's the uncertainty with some Government contracts that were possibly bread and butter stuff pre-covid as I can't see any other reason other than the possible existence of fixed price contracts and inflation. I'm happy to hold.

Ruby wasnt loved in City. They seek war with individual as they call small share holders. Here is a safety net. The people before also never delivered and end up cooking the books.
Instead to do fun and good for everyone and win together they poured to glass of 1 player.

Individual share holders didint agree for such a high bonus. Clearly can deliver results by saving on whatever can to get bonus but what cannot do is deliver profit return for any share holders as you can see. Setting up this scheme this way is wrong. Therefore they try to protect their position but they never delivered return. So can end up with gazillions of shares which never achived their potential.

I see Board changes. Is this what previous poster referred to? Pour all of glass to .....will this improve share value? Not green Monday but spring has sprung. Waiting for bounce.

There is so much to say about this market.

Just note the trends are bearish and the proper flush hasn't happened imo. The technical oversold bounce is happening now (or at least some form of it) but events are fluid. I haven't seen a proper flush in the shares I am watching so caution very much still needed.

Volumes haven't spiked in substantial ways to show a proper flush nor has there been a real panic type capitulation, it is more a case of a gradual downtrend in the big fallers, little by little.

In light of that, there are plenty of shares out there now where the multiple has been compressed to the point whereby long termers must be looking to nibble. Assuming commodity, metal and energy prices don't now run away to cause significant central bank tightening that results in a recession, value is appearing.

This is such a tricky market to navigate:

No recession or major implications from Russia - US eventually flushes, bottoms and we move back higher, especially on the growth shares (that actually generate profits) that have been hammered to low multiples as well as the value shares.

Recession i.e. central bank balls ups, Russia having a more pronounced impact and run away inflation - further downside to come.

Wish I knew the answer. I don't.

I can be nimble as a trader though. This is very much a traders market now.

Picked up a few things today (again, this bounce might not last long) for a quick bounce including MTO.

A few bigger buyers coming in and mopping up here in the low 50's. However, that is no guarantee it won't end up making another low. There are lines of sellers, wave after wave, that keep coming into these shares and they aren't being exhausted.

Alot of the charts aren't even forming a bottoming pattern.

Stop at under 50p here.

Trading nimble and using stops.

Welcome to Whipsaw City.

All imo

I think that Mitie Mouse look's like it's taking a tumble. Daily 14,50 and 200 weighted moving averages all pointing down just now.

Quantifiable measures and KPIs for strategy, operational achievement, environment etc are all important in this era but financial performance and share value is paramount to many investors. Meaningful KPIs should improve business performance and efficiencies leading to better value. Waiting to see upward trend.

Is not 1990 when value was mirrored by results. If they mean much why we on that level. There are other things in play.

Profits and results don’t mean much to share value? Ugh! Shares returning to 2002 value but since then inflation increase in £ is nearly 50%?

Yes they pour all to glass of 1 player and leave others with dry mouths. Even themselves. Profit and results mean not much to value of the shares.
