Why hasn't this recovererd to pre-covid levels already????

The words 'gift-horse' and 'teeth' come to mind.
The chart suggests the right time to get in. The rest is time, patience, and of course, 'Events, dear boy, events..'

It is claimed above that FTSE250 is confirmed. Is there a link to this news, please? I cannot find one.

The volume was at close tonight. About 1.9% of the shares in issue.

Departing WMH saw about 2.3% traded in the closing auction.

In which case it looks like FTSE are now including the 248m new shares in the market cap. Possibly they missed out getting included in the count in December and had to wait until close on 19th March. Whatever, got there in the end.

In the monthly review at the end of February FTSE list the shares in issue as 1,171m with a free float of 99.1%. That's exactly the number of shares prior to the Interserve acquisition. It appears that for some reason FTSE haven't included the new shares.

As far as I'm aware, the free float is used for computing the index value but isn't used in determining index qualification, which is determined on the basis of the full market cap.

I think if it passes the liquidity test for the SmallCap index then it should pass the liquidity test for the FTSE 250 as I believe the test is the same throughout the All-Share index.

It might off also be liquidity as not enough total shares traded compared to it new 1.4bn amount.

That's a good point. The replacement for Calisen on 12 March was supposed to be based on the closing prices on 8 March when, according to my calculations, Mitie was considerably ahead of Tullow.

Looking at the FTSE All-Share Monthly Review for February it appears that they are still basing Mitie's market cap on 1,171m shares in issue and are not including the 248m shares from the acquisition of Interserve. These shares were admitted on 1 Dec 2020. I wonder why FTSE are not including them. Human error?

If FTSE still base on 1,171m shares in issue then it could be Volution Group that gets promoted this week. If so, I'll query with FTSE.

yep i agree typo56 but could not understand why tullow got promoted before mto weeks back think its new rules highest market cap at time rather than old highest reserve at index review time.

Looks like it should be in line for promotion to the FTSE 250 next week, to replace WMH. Expect announcement on Monday.

This is a seriously excellent chart on any view. I added today, with targets for 80p and then 1.40 on the gaps. Stocko metrics are very good too, on quality, value and momentum. You can hardly ask for more!
