Use the DRS statement to transfer into a UK broker that trades NEO. I am told Jarvis can handle settlement on NEO Exchange so that should open lots of UK platforms.

Don’t get paper certs. Much easier to deal with DRS transfers to brokers and cheaper

Hope you get it soon. I'm going to contact Computershare Canada and ask for paper certs it's getting ridiculous the amount of effort you have to go through.

I bought them through the bank years ago. Then the bank stopped its share dealing service and i was left with share certs. I have the 2 canadian stocks, no sign of minco cert yet

Hi Ardtole. I've just phoned AJBELL about transferring the Canadian Manganese to them. Apparently if it registers on crest on Monday it should be easy to trade if you in UK, but they won't know anything further until Monday. So hopefully you should be able to find one quite easily and I think they allow transfers in. Can I just ask how you got the paper certs? - ideally I want to close the Halifax account down ASAP.

HL will not accept transfers either. I have paper certs and its proving problematic at present to get a broker to take them

steve36, following my previous reply to you, I now have checked back with HSDL about free transfers. This is what a message to me on 17 Feb 2020 about Buchans Resources NPV said:

"If you wish to trade in Buchans and/or Canadian Manganese shares you will need to establish an arrangement with an alternative broker. Should you wish to do this please contact the receiving broker who will arrange the transfer with us which will be done at no cost. If you would like to transfer your whole portfolio then normal fees will apply."

keya5000, many thanks for that good news. Really good to see one of the three listed and to gauge what the market worth of CMC is. Gla

anynews-I would have been very happy to hold Dalradian as it is an excellent asset. It has problems getting planning though and it appears to be dragging it out-did not like the idea of them going private. That was Ennex a long time ago and they were the same guys who discovered Tara, Tynagh and Gorthdrum. They got into difficulty when the powers to be would not allow them to use explosives. They spent 1m researching with Imp College thru a EU research project trying put in a decline/roadway underground using a boring machine and obviously not very successful trying to going thru hard rock.

steve36, many thanks for that. I'll log in to my HSDL account over the weekend and see if I can find the text where they say it's free to transfer out. I'll copy it to this board if it's appropriate to do so. It might take me a day or two. Cheers and gla.

Fiachra, Minco & Xtierra have claimed a number of casualties along the way.. Obsignal, Richgit & Wheresmyyacht to name but a few. I have no contact with any.I still hold all the shares with Interactive Uk and Computershare.Sometimes I think I'm lucky the Minco investment is out of reach as I have a habit of picking lemons... Like putting alot of the Dalradian money into Ormonde cause it was near production ! Ffs.

Bodgit,I also hold the 3 shares with HSDL. Good to hear they will not charge to tfr out. Someone mentioned that Interactive Brokers allow trading on NEO and having had a quick look on their website, they do appear to be the best (actually only) option that I have seen so far, at least for CMC.

Thanks Bodgit. Think I'll wait until I hopefully get a reply from Computershare Canada. They seem to make everything so hard to transfer.

djb3, I hold my Buchans Resources, Minco Exploration and CMC shareholdings in my HSDL Nominee account and. yes, there will now be an annual charge for running the nominee account. As I hold other UK shares in the nominee, there will be no additional charge for continuing to hold the 'ex Minco' shares until they each gain a listing somewhere. I have previously been advised by HSDL that they do not offer international trades in Canada or Ireland though if I find a new home for the shareholdings, they will transfer them free of charge. I do not yet know where I can move and keep them at low cost so that they can easily be traded in due course. I will leave my three limited co shares in HSDL until at least one of the three is listed. Any suggestions welcome for a good (i.e. low cost!) home to move my limited co. or Canadian/Irish listed plc shares. Gla

Anyone else with Halifax? Having a nightmare trying to transfer these shares and they are now charging to hold them. Been advised to contact Computershare Canada - the UK branch cannot even help me. Any other UK holders here?
