Large, energy sucking industrials being hit. Perhaps why supplier Drax is one of the few up in the 350.

No. Of course I won't do that. That would start to give hints as to my identity.

You either believe it or you don't. I don't really care. It makes no difference to the facts.

Did you take opportunity of the recent low?

Erm, nope.

Why not?

LOL

I bought stocks when Bush declared war on Iraq. In the weeks after that I averaged £100K return/week.

getting

10% wow. I'm really crying here - not. I have no concern whatsoever. It is called building up a position, and actually, it would please me more if the paper loss was greater because it would mean my next tranche of equal size will buy more shares. I have courage and strength of conviction in my valuation techniques unlike you who need to follow the rest of the sheep and depend on LTIP to pay for holidays.

I will be buying more today. No question about it.

Unlike you, I'm not interested in timing bottoms and I don't attempt to crystal ball gaze. Life continues and GKN will come good.

LOL

Great timing Minny! You’ve just lost 10% in less than 24 hours which is impressive even by your standards.

Yes, I don’t think Melrose executives can be blamed for the current share price predicament.

1j, to be fair a global pandemic grounding airlines, followed by a chip shortage
impacting the auto industry may have been outside any expectations at the time
of acquisition !.

Well I was a GKN shareholder at the time and did well selling it to Melrose. Hopefully now, I can hit the replay button from the other side and then buy post IPO when the fan boys are out.

Don’t know about looking forward to GKN auto and aerospace back as listed entities. It would have been better for GKN shareholders if GKN had never lost that status or had found a home other than Melrose. Just look at MROs price performance since the acquisition. Abysmal versus any relevant Stock Market Index. The MRO management should have stuck with more bite size aquisitions; GKN was too much for them and directors buying a few shares every time the share price comes under sustained pressure won’t convince the market otherwise.

speed, agree, but are we heading for another recession?.

MRO usually gets hit hard on risk off sentiment.
