19/4/2021 10:19 | Can't believe the muted reaction to this news. Gonna dive in for more as part of my regular investment on Weds. The Market is still asleep. | mach100
19/4/2021 07:57 | That's a very fair return on the sale of Nortek, and still retaining Ergotron and Nortek controls means there is likely another $650 million plus to be made in future sales. Reduction of debt should have a mighty impact on SP,....let's wait and see. | yertiz
19/4/2021 07:22 | Well we shall find out the impact of Nortek sale this morning....... | bmel
19/4/2021 07:21 | Bookbroker. £2.62b before costs it would appear. Nice post timing | games
19/4/2021 07:21 | Good exit price, takes a lot of pressure off the balance sheet, proves that the strategy works again to improve business at acquired companies. | bookbroker
08/4/2021 11:12 | What would Nortek fetch in a sale or IPO, £1.5bln+, this would pretty much reduce net debt to zero, any answers? | bookbroker
06/4/2021 09:12 | Yes that`s what I thought Gargoyle. Holding up very well in spite of it all. | alfieduncan
06/4/2021 07:31 | XD was 1 April. | gargoyle2

05/4/2021 11:00 | XD tomorrow Alfie and not on April Fool's Day. | mach100
05/4/2021 10:34 | I've had a good run now flat with no position, along with Aviva, De La Rue and Wynnstay. | jackdaw4243
01/4/2021 14:00 | Yes XD and heading in a northerly direction. | alfieduncan
22/3/2021 16:40 | Interesting 12 months in prospect for Melrose, potentially a large disposal followed by a capital return and then lining up the next acquisition. Within a year airline manufacturing will hopefully be showing the first signs of a tentative 2022 recovery. Looking for share price weakness to add. Some cyclicals ahead of events for now. MRO risk/reward looks better than some of the recently pumped up prices, however it remains vulnerable to wider equity weakness, particularly if cyclicals get hit. | essentialinvestor
20/3/2021 14:05 | I suppose we have all been preoccupied with awful way the media have treated Megan and and Harry , not to mention how our hearts go out to Nicola Sturgeon. :-) | jackdaw4243
18/3/2021 16:28 | Jackdaw, Meanwhile went all grumpy every time somebody made fun of his maths abilities, then Minerve started becoming bitter and twisted and very aggressive so it had to stop! | gettingrichslow
16/3/2021 16:14 | Whats happened to all the banter that we had on this thread ?? | jackdaw4243
04/3/2021 15:32 | Bought some MRO under £1.80, small amount only given the volatility. | essentialinvestor
03/2/2021 11:53 | Nothing wrong in taking a profit in these uncertain times, as a Virgo I tend to be cautious. Cashed in my Marstons and Barc this AM so they should rocket upwards. | jackdaw4243
02/2/2021 18:41 | Probably not. Us Capricornians don't believe in that rubbish. | yertiz
02/2/2021 16:58 | Yertiz We must have the same star sign. | jackdaw4243
02/2/2021 14:36 | Almost a certainty that the sale of 50% of my holding in MRO last Thursday has prompted the rise.😂 | yertiz
02/2/2021 14:28 | On the move anyone know why. | jackdaw4243
31/1/2021 10:06 | Probably a bit of both going by previous history. An important point is this demonstrates clearly that MRO are not asset strippers, but very successful business builders which stakeholders know and have benefitted from over the past decade. | yertiz |
