A lovely blue day pushing MRO up to the 240p mark (nowhere near my Xmas prediction, mercifully!) and the Santa rally looks to be completing its drive upwards for most shares now there is some certainty in the market.

I'm certain, for example, of enjoying my Christmas, I hope you all do too and best wishes to you for 2020. £3.00 by Christmas (2020).

Yertiz - "maybe others will follow."

One of the papers had a story about maybe Poland leaving, early days and the Brussels mafia will likely knock it on the head but if we show how it can be done there will be others.

B+ - "Special Christmas wishes to Losos. Hope your health improves."

Thanks B+ Parts of me are knackered and won't improve, but I'm determined to keep going, if only to 'annoy' those muppets that one comes across haha.

Best wishes to you & Mrs. B+ for Christmas and to all the regular contributers to this forum, some of whom have made me smile on more than one occassion.

As Yertiz states - "Far better out than in."

A term normally reserved for gastric wind, but equally appropriate in the case of the EU.

Yes, she was very impressive. And I agree that Germany will be the big loser in what remains of the EU.

Sadly the EU constantly puts ideology ahead of the people. Corbyn did the same and look what happened to him🤣🤣;🤣🤣

I voted for a Common Market but not for what the EU is now. Can’t wait for us to leave.

I like that speech by the Chair of AfD that you posted.

It's easy to think that the rest of the EU either hates us for Brexit or else regards us as idiots. So it's good to hear that not everybody shares that mindset.

I had an interesting conversation with 2 guys in France last year. One was pro-Brexit and one anti but both were reasonable. The thing that was very striking was that the anti-B said that if they had a referendum in France then there would be a majority for France to leave the EU. His friend agreed but added that the ruling class would never allow a referendum because the leave result was the most likely outcome. He was surprised that the British ruling class had allowed the people to have a choice.

Additive manufacturing MES developer Authentise has become one of 10 startups selected to be a part of an accelerator program for the UK aerospace sector. Run by Boeing and the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), supported by Ignite, the program was launched early November 2019, and collected over 260 applicants by November 15. GKN Aerospace is the inaugural corporate sponsor of the program.

“We are really excited about what the startup community — especially around sustainability and industry 4.0 — can bring into aerospace,” commented Paul Perera, VP Technology at GKN Aerospace. “I believe there’s a lot of innovation in this ecosystem and it will be incredibly rewarding to work with Boeing and ATI to help generate the future leaders of the aerospace industry.”

This first cohort will begin its business guidance from the program in January 2020 and will complete the cycle 12 weeks later with the opportunity to pitch to industry stakeholders and investors. In addition to guidance, the cohort will be given an insight into operations at Boeing and introduced to a network of potential collaborators. Each company also receives a cash sum from Boeing’s HorizonX Ventures. Money allocated ranged from between £100 thousand and £1 million, granted to half the applicants, to between and £1 million and £3 million for 20%, and £0 – $100 thousand for the remaining 30%.
