16/11/2018 17:01 | Yes, have been given out obstructing the field when ball hit me on it’s way to the wicket keeper on a second run. | brexitplus
16/11/2018 16:52 | MRO Board needs to learn quickly that the market doesn't like such volatility in a FTSE 100 stock. Now they are in this League hire a good financial PR firm to communicate aconsistent message to the real players or the Traders will keep running it up and moving it down to make their commission. | ryelodge
16/11/2018 16:24 | Yes that's interesting,10 if you include "Timed Out" but 9 when actually batting. I can't remember a first class cricketer being timed out, though David Steele in the 70s must have come close when not knowing the Lords pavilion, he went down an extra floor and found himself in the loos. | mayers
16/11/2018 16:01 | No. 10 is 'Timed Out'....batsman taking >3 mins to face the bowler. | yertiz
16/11/2018 15:42 | Looked in here after an interval - there are 9 ways of being dismissed when batting in cricket, or were. I hope Brexit+ has never been dismissed obstructing the field, though being fair it doesn't necessarily imply bludgeoning the fielders - I recall in 1951 the great Len Hutton being dismissed in this way when in attempting to avoid his shot falling on the wicket, he inadvertently prevented the South African wicket keeper who was standing up, from making a catch. I was at Edgbaston at the time watching a county match and the headline caused some consternation. The rest I will leave to you. | mayers
16/11/2018 15:17 | Green eyed monster alert! Jealousy is not a good quality. Sell AA quick and get some of your money back before it's all gone. You won't be able to 'treat' yourself to your breakfasts at Bills soon! | gettingrichslow
16/11/2018 15:09 | Fart, you're in fantasy land again. How much money have you made today? Bovis down, RR down, AA down big. No salary coming in. You are losing money. Not good! I got paid today and LTIP looking very good for March! As B+ might say, all is wonderful in the world! | gettingrichslow
16/11/2018 15:05 | Melrose - bottom of the FTSE 350! ROFLMAO! | minerve
16/11/2018 15:00 | He's winding you up GRS - no need to explain anything to him. Melrose was always going to have a correction after a nice rise - I'm still happily in good profit (I said before anything under 185p is cheap). Just a shame M can't control his typewriting tongue and be a little less offensive. Like you, I don't need a day job and like you I have immense job satisfaction, freedom to do much of what I want and get to meet and talk to so many intelligent people in my day. I'm in no way a professional investor, nor do I want to be - too much time spent in front of a screen and keyboard worrying about the next trade I make or if the taxman gets to hear of my capital gains. Life is too short - family & friends come first, fortunes are nice if they happen but not that important in the grand scheme of things. | yertiz
16/11/2018 14:49 | getting Investing gets me out of bed in the morning - it IS my business. Not a punty sideline. I enjoy 99.95% of it. The .05 is morons on ADVFN. I make a lot of money out of it. Many times what you've earned in your life time. I have total freedom to have a day, week, month, rest of my life, off. I've travelled to most places already where I want to go. The rest I couldn't give a sh*t about. And why should I try what you are doing? It would be a massive backward step and socially embarrassing to my Cheshire neighbours. Couldn't have that at the Christmas and New Year parties! LOL | minerve
16/11/2018 14:35 | Fart, I don't NEED a day job but I choose to do it because: 1. It gets me out of bed in the morning 2. I really enjoy 90% of it 3. I'm paid a lot of money for something I find very easy and mostly very enjoyable 4. I have total freedom as to what I do every day, if I fancy it I can travel anywhere I want at any time 5. I'm on a LTIP so it never pays to leave! You should try it fart! | gettingrichslow
16/11/2018 14:22 | getting trying very hard to be someone he isn't. He is certainly not a professional investor. If he was so good at investing he wouldn't need a day job! ;) | minerve
16/11/2018 14:12 | "You are on a different plant" - what sort of plant is that? Cannabis? What a Chimp the fart in the lift is! | gettingrichslow
16/11/2018 14:09 | Afternoon MEANWHILE Excuse my post earlier. It is not aimed at you. I have respect for your view. You are on a different plant to the three clowns. I have respect for some elders, but not many. You are in the minority group. I sense you have a good set of values and are more aware of your position and that of others. The three clowns are in Cloud Cuckoo Land. | minerve
16/11/2018 14:06 | Sentiment U-turn maybe? | meanwhile
16/11/2018 13:03 | How is Melrose going to day ye olde ™Chimp Brexit? ROFLMAO! | minerve
16/11/2018 12:44 | Yertiz, too many and I’ve been out most of them except “handled the ball.” | brexitplus
16/11/2018 12:24 | How many ways are there of being 'out' in cricket?.... great pub quiz question not many get right. | yertiz
16/11/2018 12:23 | Oh, yes, we play it, and I forget the hard wooden ball. | meanwhile
16/11/2018 12:18 | No, we play cricket, well some of us do. And there are many other ways of being out than caught or bowled. Time to google the laws of cricket methinks. | brexitplus |
