Yes, let's do cricket. A ball being hit by a wooden bat and being caught or hitting 3 sticks.

A setback in MRO price today; and just as I was charging the camera and shopping around for a new jumbo-sized, 'superwallet' (developed in silicon valley) in readiness to display on the site.

Do you wonder how Mrs May appears so resilient? - The answer is that it's all progressing according to plan. The details of the plan are explained in 'The Brexit Conspiracy Theory'.

The Conservative Party have always been for staying in the EU, albeit with its large handful of dissidents. Its pre-referendum statements told us that. The referendum result was a 'loss' to them. However, they were fortunate enough to have Mrs May, who was chosen/elected because she was a remainer and because her brexit policy has always been to remain in the EU, despite the referendum result.

For the 1st 12-18 months following the Article 50 date she said little on brexit and absolutely nothing positive. This was the period, Plan 1, in which we were all supposed to be panicked to change our minds and seek a re-run of the referendum, while believing that the brexit agreement was going ahead but not too well.
Panick didn't set in so Plan 2 was put into effect. David Davis was shelved and Mrs May colluded/conspired personally with the EU leaders, Barniere etc. to put together a so-called deal which would prove totally unacceptable to Parliament and the people.
Timing was critical here. This deal would need to be rejected by parliament at a date too late to be re-negotiated and I think they have this about right. Following rejection by Parliament, the only other clear option, under Mrs May, would be an exit with no deal and you can see that the current effort is now going into explaining how awful this would be. According to the plan, panick does then begin to set in.

The final phase, to come, of this conspiracy is now clear. Despite all the panick here and the calmness elsewhere in Europe, the EU will be good enough to approach us before the leave date, they throw us a carrot or 2 and we can stay, they offer Mrs May an EU job when she retires from here, based in Northern Italy probably, and we'll have been saved from our own foolishness.

If you're a conservative though, the downside is that UKIP will re-emerge stronger, unless the EU ban it, the price of French Brie will rise and your party won't get elected with a majority for a whole generation.

GKN AEROSPACE STEPS INTO WIDEBODY MRO MARKET

GKN Aerospace’s Fokker Techniek completes major maintenance on Air Europa’s A330

First widebody major maintenance project for the business’s MRO and Completion centre in Woensdrecht, The Netherlands

More A330 maintenance and redelivery projects secured

GKN Aerospace’s Fokker Techniek business has successfully completed its first A330 major maintenance project. The aircraft was delivered to Air Europa last week, marking another milestone in the company’s long history as an aircraft MRO. Air Europa (Spain) has previously awarded heavy maintenance projects for its 737 narrowbody fleet to GKN Aerospace’s Fokker Techniek business. Last year the company performed a cabin modification package on another A330 succesfully. The required training, tooling and equipment for wide body maintenance have now all been obtained. Approvals and further commitments are secured to add this first widebody aircraft type to the portfolio.

Alberto Linés, Air Europa’s Maintenance and Engineering Director said: “We would like to congratulate the Fokker team for their first A330 base maintenance check. For Air Europa it is paramount to match committed aircraft downtimes and Fokker successfully matched the dates. We fully recognize they made a great job with very good planning and controlled execution.”

Jeff Armitage, Managing Director of GKN Aerospace’s Fokker Techniek business said: “I am happy and proud to announce that we will bring this great facility to the next level. By entering the widebody market, new opportunities will arise. This will include stepping into the world of modern composite aircraft in the years to come.”

It's not that recent thank you. I don't chop, change and punt like some.

Actually, it's doing a little better than I expected. When I added a few housebuilders to my portfolio I anticipated that ALL would be underwater for a while. My modus operandi works better if that is indeed the case. Sadly, Bovis moved higher quicker than I would have liked. But I guess we should congratulate the new captain.

If you want to beat the index you by definition have to be a contrarian investor. Not for the faint-hearted I'm afraid. I would stay clear if I were you. You wouldn't want to be in my shoes - it could be a little too much for you to bear.

P.S. I would rather you refer to me as 'Minerve'. 'Fart in the lift' is a little childish if I may be so bold in saying so.

Donald

You never try to ascertain the context, jump to conclusions, and then sadly try to apply your own values.

A group of 60 and 70 years old men and women, me being the youngest, had just completed erecting a large prefabricated garage with instructions worse than Ikea’s. Working as a team, when we had time, for 2 weeks, through all sorts of weather, we were celebrating completion. A group of friends of the owner, working for regular cups of tea and biscuits and nothing else. No fluorescent jackets, steel capped boots or hard hats, clambering up towers and ladders armed with power drills and angle grinders. Beer provided FOC. Friendship is great. You should try it.

By the way, May got off lightly. You should have heard the unprintable descriptions of Corbyn and Cable.

B+, I suspect the fart in the lift is slightly miffed today that his recent investment in Bovis Homes is not going too well. It's a strange investment from someone who is convinced the UK is going down the pan - the housebuilders are always amongst the first to suffer in such circumstances...

Getting.

I only eat my own homemade burgers. Best beefor lamb, onion, mushrooms and fresh herbs. In a sourdough bun. Yummy.

Only ever had McDonalds once in Singapore Bird Park to please my nephews. Milk shake was ok. Burger like cardboard. Horrible.

Men sit around a table, pint in hand, on a Thursday afternoon, lambasting someone who is considering those who don't have that privilege.

Wonderful. Cheers! 🍻

But imagine how much worse it would be if this lot were in charge:
Corbyn - PM
McDonnell - Chancellor
Diane Abbott - Home Secretary and Minister for Diversity
Thornberry - Defence!
Angela Rayner - Foreign Secretary
Rebecca Long-Bailey - Trade Secretary
We'd be completely bankrupt within 5 years!

Although a strong Brexit supporter I try to keep away from the subject here. For my only post on Brexit, I was talking with some friends and acquaintances this afternoon. We went round the table, pint in hand, using one word each to describe May. In no particular order the repeatable the words were

Weak
Traitorous
Incompetent
Cowardly
Liar
Untrustworthy
Pathetic
Anti-democratic
Politician (in the worst sense of the word)

And if Gove takes over from Raab things can only get worse.

End of Brexit comments.
