05/11/2018 16:15 | 2 now with Fregoli Delusion, brexit & getting. You poor fools. Any views on who your neighbour's dog could be? | meanwhile
05/11/2018 15:42 | Getting Having looked carefully at Peter Dilnot’s cv, he looks a perfect fit for Melrose with top level expertise in all the key areas. Good appointment. Norman should do his research, but sadly he doesn’t have the capability to do so. | brexitplus
05/11/2018 15:27 | Norman, the Sage of Snowdonia has made his pronouncement. | brexitplus
05/11/2018 15:23 | Another MRO Manager appointment from the National League to take on the Premiership challenges of GKN. | ryelodge
05/11/2018 14:22 | ANOTHER TOP APPOINTMENT BY MELROSE News published by Renewi Plc “The Board of Renewi plc (LSE:RWI) announces that Peter Dilnot, Chief Executive Officer, has notified the Board of his resignation from the Company in order to take up the role of Chief Operating Officer of the FTSE 100 business, Melrose Industries plc. Peter will continue as Chief Executive Officer through the remainder of the current financial year.” The current financial year end in April so effectively 6 months notice, although expect him to be working with Melrose before then. He is a director at Rotork where his cv is shown as “Biography Peter is the Chief Executive Officer of international waste-to-product company Renewi plc (formerly Shanks Group plc). Peter has an engineering background and before joining Shanks Group, he was a senior executive at Danaher Corporation, a leading global industrial business listed on the NYSE. Prior to Danaher, Peter spent seven years at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) based in both London and Chicago, working primarily with industrial and pharmaceutical clients.” He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University, was and Army Office and spent time T BCG. The Danaher link is interesting. It is described “Danaher Corporation is a globally diversified conglomerate with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., United States. Danaher is #144 on the 2017 Fortune 500 list. Its products are concentrated in the fields of design, manufacturing, and marketing of industrial, healthcare and consumer products.” Wikipedia | brexitplus

05/11/2018 07:32 | Morning Yertiz Yes, they seem to have nothing better to do with their tiny little lives. I’ve decided that Zimmer is too good a name for m. Since he admires Donald Trump so much, and imitates his hero at every opportunity in his arrogance and aggressiveness, in future I shall call him Donald. You may think of him more as as Donald Duck - lots of quacking and no substance. Schizo I see more of a Norman Wisdom character. Lots of slapstick, very little humour but unfortunately no wisdom. So Donald and Norman it is. | brexitplus
04/11/2018 21:17 | Really don’t know what their motivation is to visit boards where they have no interest, never mind investment. As both are filtered I don’t know what they are writing, but have no doubts it is derogatory. Strange how some get their kicks out of life? Bit sad isn’t it. Argyle have their work cut out to climb up from their current position, but they did it last season. | yertiz
04/11/2018 20:10 | Hi Yertiz Argyle need to get a few points or are in trouble. My childhood league team is Gillingham who, although above the bottom four, need to keep good results coming. I’ve seen the England league tries - excellent. The Dow was down on Friday so a drop is possible. But not a problem. I see the “gruesome twosome” are trying to ruin the Burford board now. | brexitplus
04/11/2018 18:21 | Ooooh, how exciting. | minerve
04/11/2018 15:14 | Gloucestershire is the heart of English rugby. The Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union comprises 74 clubs with numerous leagues, cups, etc, plus schools. Polo is fun. They play near Westonbirt. Only been once. Great tackle by Farrell. The other bloke is nearly 6’5” and 18 stone, and he went backwards. I would have been proud to have made that tackle. Only the “girlies” | brexitplus
04/11/2018 14:58 | BrexP Farrell nearly lost it, I thought in Gloucestershire Polo was the game not Rugby. | jackdaw4243
04/11/2018 09:42 | Hi Yertiz, what do you think of the England win. I was lucky enough to see it. Late on Friday night my brother in law rang asking if I wanted to go as his son decided not to. He has just started at university and decided to stay there. So an early start from Gloucestershire, met at Richmond then walked to the ground stopping on the way for a bevvy or two. By half time I thought England were going to lose but the second half was much better. I don’t rate Shields and thought Ben Morgan would have been better at 8 than Wilson. Still it was a hard fought win and showed a lot of character. Dinner in Richmond and a late train home. Great day out. | brexitplus
03/11/2018 18:36 | getting, how are you getting on with my tutorials? Have you grasped the concept of Rights Issues yet? I use a simple 'rule of thumb', as they say, as follows:- When the rights issue prospectus is published, read it, and where it states "Existing shareholders have the right to buy the new shares, 12 for 1 held, at 95p", it means that existing shareholders (people who have bought shares at some unspecified time, but not sold them) have right to buy up to 12 (a big number) new shares for each one held, at 95p. This is called 'attending to detail'. You should pay more attention to detail before lecturing knowledgable investors like Minerve and myself on bits of detail you just haven't grasped. Now clear off. | meanwhile
03/11/2018 18:22 | No, Jackdaw, spelling is not correct. It's also not clear whether you have it as a complaint or you are compliant with it. In either case it's unrelated to a cycle ride, or to Melrose. | meanwhile
03/11/2018 18:04 | MW I also suffer from a very rare compliant called "Shareden Freud " if that the correct spelling. So with the three could I qualify for a cycle ride up a mountain in Wales | jackdaw4243
03/11/2018 11:47 | Good day Minerve, That pair of old crones, getting and yertiz, have been quiet the last few days. Do you think they can't think of anyone who's losing money to have a go at? | meanwhile
03/11/2018 09:17 | Jackdaw, If you only have the Dunning Kruger and the Fregoli, then you are quite stable and sane compared to most on this board. Most posters have a minimum of 3 separate psychoses and commit at least 4 of the 7 'deadly sins'. | meanwhile
02/11/2018 23:28 | Richard Pryor is number 1 of all time for me. As someone said there hasn't been anyone who has shown a finer line between tragedy and comedy. Him and Gene Wilder were a superb double act. | minerve
02/11/2018 23:10 | Thanks for the link, Minerve, I can't recall having seen that. Richard Pryor was a great comedian. | meanwhile
02/11/2018 22:01 | Hi Yertiz Home late from London. Did you take the opportunity to get in Syncona on the price drop? Actually the share price held up pretty well. Apparently Freeline, of which Syncona has about 80%, has “proof of concept” for its haemophilia treatment. Take a look at the Advfn Syncona chat. Good week for Melrose. MACD looking positive for next week. | brexitplus
02/11/2018 21:56 | Many thank s with my "Dunning Kruger "complaint and my "Fregoli Delusion" I would make an ideal parliament candidate. | jackdaw4243 |
