I'm not going to sugar coat anything for you getting. People are more likely to lose jobs under management like this with the PR message that it is 'improving performance'. Actually the performance improvement is actually very subjective. What they really mean is improving short-term value, but it doesn't come for nothing, long-term value disappears. If you sell assets you make an assumption on future cash flow which could be entirely wrong but is gone forever once sold. £50m bonuses are a waste of money to shareholders. There are better ways to invest retained earnings. They are not special, the only special qualities they have are having no conscience. People will lose their jobs for those bonuses. Marriages may break down. Depression may come along. Who knows, even the odd suicide. A pathetic way to run a company IMO. Not something I would be proud of.

Does this give a pointer to her profession?!!!

Porky, great point. They are gung-ho asset strippers. RNS just out. They're firing everyone tomorrow and minimum statutory redundancy applies. They're selling up all the assets next week - property, land, swivel chair used by Simon Peckham when he's not playing golf, the lot. £3 a share by Christmas and £50m bonuses all round!! Ok? My god, don't you ever get bored by your own repetitive, doomster bleatings??

Ryelodge, great question, could be decades so suggest you sell up asap. Any other daft questions? Any new burgers coming at McDonalds?

Now that the Market has received and digested the latest MRO results ( adjusted and normalised to show relative underlying performance ),when will we see again the 234 pence share price that delivered each Director's £50 million bonus last year. One year , 3 years, 5 years? There is a time value to money, you know.

A brain tumour would be the best thing to happen to you, seriously. It would bring a sense of humility and humbleness that you persona badly misses. Your life would be shortened but it would be 10 times more richer than the poverty of values your current life holds.

"You aren't a very nice person" says the person who wishes cancer and brain tumours on people who have a different point of view to him!
Any hypocrisy there at all??

Ah Porky, lovely to hear from you. Are you pleased to see the great news from Melrose? Improving the businesses while pumping money into the pension scheme to reduce the deficit as they promised. Working their magic again. The naysayers and doomsters on the retreat. And that's just in 8 months or so. Give them 3 years and they'll have GKN motoring again. Great news eh?

You aren't a very nice person getting.

I think you are far too obsessed on what other people do. I think you should focus on your own game. There are always going to be people who are wealthier and/or are smarter investors than you, unless you are WB.

Rather than being bitter and resentful, start reading some books on the subject. You will then find that in order to outperform you will have the capability to do so by not going with the crowd and being a fanboy.

" start with the project of reorganisation and asset stripping of GKN "

You really need to look up the meaning of "asset-stripping" as you don't understand what it is.

I’ve been “stalking̶1; again on a board where I have no shares, Lloyds. I can’t see why people do that.

They really are nasty people over there. Someone posted this

“Minerve is an anagram of vermine.

vermine = vermin; rabble; scum”

Fancy saying that about our resident genius.

Ryelodge, it's amazing some of the bragging people do on the internet isn't it?

MEANWHILE - 30 Mar 2018 - 10:29:54 - 3150 of 9079

I'm a Melrose only shareholder. My wife has MRO shares and my son does. We don't have a portfolio of shares, we have a Portmanteau full of MRO shares. We've followed MRO for 13 years, taking up all the rights. We took out a mortgage to finance the Nortek one. While Brexitplus braggs about having enough MRO shares to buy a car, we buy our cars with the interim dividend.

Ryelodge, during your 'bragster' period - approximately March 18 to July 18 - you told us all repeatedly that you had c.£250k of shares in MRO. You would repeatedly talk about how full your wallet was in that rather tiresome and tedious way of yours. I believe you even loaded a photo of your wallet on to your profile, presumably with the help of someone more competent with technology than you, like a three year old child perhaps or the guy that cleans the urinals in the local bogs. That was of course before you realised that, in this day and age, £250k isn't even enough to put down as a deposit on a medium sized detached house in Beaconsfield, and therefore wouldn't particularly impress many on here. Especially Porky who made a capital gain that probably exceeded your MRO holding in a single day, and only bragged about it once! So apologies for knowing what you've got but it's because you kept telling us!!

yertiz,

I have sampled a short period in the Royal Navy but didn't like it and had to use the 48 hour getout clause. I found the food rotten and the uniform was made of really itchy fabric.

I'm now back in my 'cotton wool world'.

He is presumably a fanboy of Rolls Royce?
