I tend to agree. People with very low esteem tend to boast a lot, demand respect, and put down people who have much more knowledge in a particular field than them. This was demonstrated with Yertiz who has wide ranging and extensive knowledge of the health field.

Personally, I have never worried about money or envied what others have. I am content to be very happy and enjoy life to the full.

I now expect "I don't believe you" from Porky which comes from the same lack of esteem and being jealous that I have things that he does not and never will have however much money he has.

It must rankle terribly!!!

B+, it will be to do with his experience at school. I went to a great school and enjoyed every minute. Porky probably went to a Grange Hill type school. I expect he was mouthy even then and antagonised everyone and regularly got his head flushed down the toilet etc. That would explain why he flunked his exams and ended up in a poly with all the other remedials. And now he is driven by a desire to prove himself to the world via ADVFN! Look at me everyone - I'm not an unemployed layabout, honestly! I used to run a stock market darling! I'm rich beyond belief and I demand your respect! Blah blah.

Well, brexit and getting, I can see that our revived friendship is now over. I had put everything into it, but it was not enough for the demands of you two.
It's cruel how a friendship can end so abruptly, a few careless words spoken, a suggestion wrongly taken, a mistaken verbal glance, and that's it, finished.

But I remain positive and we may well get another chance in the future.
Until then, all I can give you now are these caring and consoling words :-

"Do the chairs in your parlour seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?

Money isn’t a problem with me - never has been. It obviously is with you Porky, or you wouldn’t have to keep telling everyone how wealthy you are. Obviously you have self esteem problems.

Getting, Yertiz. I’m sure you knew people at school just like Ryewhile/Meanlodge.

By that I mean ‘sneaky.’; You know the sort - moved between groups and ‘told tales’ on group members to teachers. Then moved on. Everyone knew they were ‘sneaks’ and never trusted them. They were used by the clever kids to get others into trouble, and by teachers to find out what was going on, and all the while thought themselves clever.

I knew one who is now a MP. Totally untrustworthy. One teacher I was in contact with described him as ‘sneaky and not someone you could trust.’ Labour of course and not resigned - yet!!!

Good to see Porky still following my every word even though I am filtered. I wonder when the DNA test will take place.

I am in good profits in PFG. FACT. Today is a good day. I think the offer suggests organic growth is looking dubious so I will most likely sell soon.

Where are the comments implying insider trading, ryelodge/Meanwhile? I haven't seen anything on here even faintly resembling such accusations. Are you sure you are on the right board, right world, right frame of mind?

Interesting that one or two comments here imply that today's run up in the MRO price is due to insider trading in the stock, or at least some market knowledge on upcoming results. That must be an MRO thing; such behaviour would never have been raised in the context of GKN. Does class show through?
