11/2/2019 10:25 | Why, oh why are we, in the 21st Century, still paying a licence for BBC reception? Utterly ridiculous. If ever there was a self perpetuating, pompous, biased and over paid 'equal opportunities' (on the outside), politically correct community, the BBC has it in spades. Please don't get me started on the bloody BAFTA's, EMMYs, Oscars and knighthoods for tennis/cricket players who won a game or two. At least Bliar isn't sitting in the HoL. | yertiz
11/2/2019 10:13 | What about this for a radical policy? Hungarian women with four children or more will be exempted for life from paying income tax, the prime minister has said, unveiling plans designed to boost the number of babies being born. It was a way of defending Hungary's future without depending on immigration, Viktor Orban said. | gettingrichslow
11/2/2019 10:06 | STOP PRESS I learned over the weekend, from a graphics designer who works for the BBC, that the BBC is in the process of OFFICIALLY changing its name to PROJECT FEAR. | brexitplus
11/2/2019 09:41 | Brexit BOOST: Liam Fox signs deal ensuring smooth trade with Switzerland after Brexit Day THE government has won a Brexit victory after signing a deal ensuring trade between the UK and Switzerland continues uninterrupted after Britain leaves the European Union. International Trade Secretary Liam Fox put pen to paper on the deal in the Swiss capital Bern yesterday, saying the agreement provides a “solid foundation” for a post-Brexit trading relationship. The Brexiter is under pressure to keep up the success with just 46 days to go until Britain is due to walk away from Brussels. Trade with Switzerland, which participates in the EU’s single market but is not a full member of bloc, is worth about £32 billion a year to the British economy and the deal means the UK will continue to operate on Brussels’s terms until a free trade agreement is signed. | brexitplus
11/2/2019 09:39 | Yertiz, impressive skill. The first player I ever saw do that was the mesmerising little Georgian called Georghi Kinkladze for Man City in the early 90s. It's the sort of thing that, if Messi did it, the pundits would all say "only the best player in the world could do that". | gettingrichslow
11/2/2019 08:55 | Agreed about over after 30 minutes. Still gave everyone a workout. England tempo and fast ball excellent. May speed for the first try phenomenal. Broadband bad this morning. Will look at Argyle later. | brexitplus
11/2/2019 08:32 | B+ - game was over as a competition after 30 mins. Atmosphere was dull, as were the French (at least they knew who their skipper was this time...). England's kicking game, as they did with the Irish, completely bamboozled the French, they didn't know how to contain them. England cricket, too little, far too late. Take a look at some sublime skill shown by Graham Carey for Argyle against Portsmouth - one way to fool a defender! Good game, fair result but there was to be a winner, then it was never going to be Pompey. Surprisingly sporting team (not ever like they used to be!), well played. hxxps://www.plymouth | yertiz
11/2/2019 08:20 | Yertiz Good England performance in rugby and cricket. Slade coming on very well. Missed the game as performing with choir but recorded the match so watched over a bowl of chilli and excellent red wine. Proceeds of performance to charity. | brexitplus

09/2/2019 17:37 | B+ O'Leary as in Ryanair. | jackdaw4243
09/2/2019 17:23 | Yup Sometime ago the law/rule was that you couldn't buy a company with its own money, I think that changed in the 1980's. Bank,s,Lawyer,s and Account adviser,s love it, Fees and more Fees. MRO also climbing up the most shorted stock list nearly 4%. | jackdaw4243
09/2/2019 17:06 | Typical cheap money corporate raid. Just like the garden gnome looking Malcolm Glazer's method of buying ManUre. Nothing has changed, just the shop window and the clowns that buy this story. | minerve
09/2/2019 15:04 | I see O’Leary is in line for a €100 million bonus!!! | brexitplus
09/2/2019 14:09 | 2017 GKN made over £500mlln profit, so using that tried and trusted approach MRO will use that profit to service the debt they incurred to buy the company. Now legal. The market seems to think MRO has acquired a "Leg Iron" not a honed money making machine. We will soon find out. | jackdaw4243
09/2/2019 12:43 | Yes, they have done ever so well haven't they. ROFLMAO! | minerve
09/2/2019 12:35 | Ryelodge Many thanks, let's hope the potential dividend yield stops improving :-) The accounts I see at C House show a loss of £184 Mlln for 2017, with the share price in dive mode this year does not bode well, so maybe another bumper bonus is on the cards for the Executive Directors. | jackdaw4243
09/2/2019 12:01 | The Annual Accounts are straightforward but it will take far longer to calculate the Executive Directors’comp | ryelodge
09/2/2019 09:37 | MRO accounts should be with Deloitte now (year end 31 December) how long before they are presented to shareholders and the world. I hope they are not choking on GKN. | jackdaw4243
09/2/2019 08:35 | Jackdaw Tom Finney, the Preston plumber. Only ever played for Preston. Never booked I believe. | brexitplus
09/2/2019 05:43 | Getting Sorry wrong Finney, A Finney did play for Preston North end. | jackdaw4243
08/2/2019 23:48 | B+, thanks I'll try to find that at Waitrose. | gettingrichslow |
