hatetrader - on yere bike - if anyone ramped this sack it was you my little penny pup. I'll take some blame for some things but ramping this carp isn't one of them - I was the one that told you these would never make £2 and had you and others a listened you'd all be a lot richer.

That's bye the bye - these are now entering a whole new league in value destruction. Bird seed, I ask you - Flying Brands couldn't make it pay because every man and his dog sells the stuff from home, I have 3 guys near me that sell it. You can buy it bulk and bag it yourself - most independents undercuf Flying Brands by a mile. Mosat stick to local delivery too - the ones that make money. This feed weighs a ton, costs loads to deliver over distance so the small independent local co's win hands down.

Just have a browse on the internet and see what people sell - this is pure comedy - and you Hatetrader are a classic lololol - the guy that ramped the Rs out of these now tring to pin it on me, the one person that told everyone to get out! That takes the biscuit - rather appropriate as we're talking animal feed lolol.

Ah yes that would be to counteract the higher postage charges that are about to be introduced.

Pure genius by the directors.

There could be synergy - maybe they are 'branching' out into DVD delivery by carrier pigeon!

There is no mention of "The Garden and Home Trading Company Limited" in MBL's 2011 Annual Report. But then it was only incorporated a couple of weeks ago.

The incorporation address is:

C/O ROBERT WILLIAMS INNOVATION CENTRE
49 OXFORD STREET
LEICESTER
LE1 5XY

Why Leicester?

The Flying Brands announcement gives a bit more info showing the last 6 months generated an operating loss-100k I think it was.

Operating profit generated in 2010! Why no mention of what it generated in 2011? My guess would be that it was significantly lower.

RNS out from MBL (see news above)

they say that the 3 businesses generated an operating profit of 0.6m. Which makes the take out price of 0.72m seem very low....

lol, so MUBL moving into selling bird seed? Why no RNS from MUBL, given that £0.72m is about the current market cap of the company.

"Flying Brands Limited (the "Company" or the "Group")

Proposed sale of the Garden Bird Supplies, Garden Centre Online and Listen2 businesses

The Board is pleased to announce that terms have been agreed, subject to shareholder approval, to dispose of (first) the Garden Bird Supplies ("GBS"), Garden Centre Online ("GCO") and Listen2 businesses to The Garden and Home Trading Company Limited (a subsidiary of MBL Group PLC) for a gross consideration of £0.72 million..."

I find it bizarre that anybody here actually imagines that there is any value left here.
If you were burgled would you expect the miscreant to spontaneously come back with your stuff?
You've been done and it's game over.
FSA are hopeless and this share might as well be listed in Nigeria.

It's all us shareholders I feel sorry for...truely shafted! (curved air)

Curved Air,

Funnily enough I was contacted last week by a shareholder asking me if there was an action group ? I guess most are waiting to see what legal action is taken by the large shareholder.

David.

I don't really see GAME going will have any benefit for Bee.com as they have very little presence in Games. Good for Gamestop, HMV and etailers though. Do you really believe MBL will survive until their final results in July? Trade speculation suggests not but I'm not sure anyone really cares anymore as MBL has really fallen off most people's radar which is probably a blessing in disguise for MBL's board. It's all us shareholders I feel sorry for...truely shafted!

I notice that the Webb Group fell over last week. We don't need anymore casualties in the entertainment sector.

Not sure how much business they are still doing with the other retailers and motorway service stations now. I wonder if the BEE.com shops will do better if GAME are forced to ditch most of their stores ? We did not have a January update as promised so I guess the next news will be the final results in July unless there is a year end update in April.

I wonder how U-Explore is doing ? Will we be getting the £100k payment for our £2m investment that is still outstanding ?

Other than the Export business, Windsong, has anyone got any idea what other business MBL has remaining.

Maybe Morrison's weren't so smart moving their business away from MBL to Cinram after all as I hear on the grapevine that post Q4 2011 Morrison's have managed to rack up an eye watering surplus of DVD/Bluray stock valued at over £22 million some of which was inherited from MBL. I am sure TA will be knocking on their door to try and help them out and pickup some cheap stock. Interesting though that Morrison's DVD buyer is ex MBL. What goes around comes around perhaps.

Unfortunately given the history I would say both options apply.
