28/9/2012 10:58 | 34simon, guess MUBL is just for value investors - plenty to like with a tiny mcap £0.65m imo (no advice intended) Looking forward to the share buyback ! | giant steps

17/9/2012 14:15 | Anyone with specific questions can list them here and one of us will hopefully be able to ask the BoD for the answers. | davidosh
17/9/2012 14:10 | David, unfortunately i can't make the AGM. If you are able to provide a summary trading update back on this thread then that would be much appreciated; thanks in advance. | giant steps
17/9/2012 14:06 | Garden Bird Supplies Reviews seems mostly (87%) positive over recent 6 months Excellent 545, Good 256, Poor 90, Bad 30 | giant steps
17/9/2012 13:56 | david, I used the loss here to offset other CGT at the year-end so no longer a shareholder, but I'd be interested to hear any news, particularly about the threatened legal action by Sefton. As a matter of interest, my wife used to be a customer of Garden Bird Supplies and commented a couple of months ago (without knowing the background) that the quality of the seed had gone noticeably downhill, with half of it being 'dust'. We no longer use them (I don't see why I should line TA's pockets any more than I already have) but it's interesting that the takeover by MBL resulted in a noticeable decline in quality. It sort of fits the pattern of these people, doesn't it? | jeffian
17/9/2012 13:26 | I know of three coming so far but can keep a running list if there are quite a few of us. | davidosh
17/9/2012 13:25 | Anyone coming to the Agm next Wednesday at 11.30 am. The same venue as the late change for last year I think. Farington Lodge Hotel in Leyland. | davidosh
12/9/2012 20:19 | Who would not be a mm eh, sell 200k at 4.75p, wait a while and get most of it back at 3.65p. | 34simon
03/9/2012 13:58 | Easy to spot Allan in the crowd, one minute laughing that he got away with it and the next looking over his sholder in case a shareholder might recognise him. | timesmoney
30/8/2012 18:24 | 200k buy at 4.75p, over 1% of the company, quite a large buy now given how small Mubl now is. | 34simon
30/8/2012 10:39 | >Upgrading their website? "MBL Group plc is a UK distributor of home entertainment products encompassing several distinct divisions which supply to large retailers, independent retailers and export customers." | alunmorris
30/8/2012 07:11 | Did someone break his legs? | jonc
29/8/2012 20:19 | the shares are certainly going cheep here! I wonder if we'll see Trevor Allan at the Paralympics Opening Ceremony tonight, courtesy of MUBL shareholders' funds? | strollingmolby
29/8/2012 18:50 | Looks like MBL are upgrading their website? | zendik
29/8/2012 18:02 | "....and to be fair the MBL board was apparently making efforts to diversify shortly before last year's disastrous events." Aye, they "diversified" into a minority interest in U-xplore (which, tbf, might not have been a bad idea.........if the £2m had gone into the business rather than the back pocket of Mr. Allan's builder). | jeffian
29/8/2012 17:55 | This was from Nov 11 : Next, is MBL (LON:MUBL), which until recently ran a very successful music and DVD distribution business. Last year a key customer, the supermarket group Wm Morrison, caused chaos by cancelling its contract with the group, which in turn triggered a very rapid disintegration of the bulk of MBL's operations. Between 2010 and 2011 the groups net assets were slashed from £35.9 million to £13.6 million, but with a tiny market cap of £1.9 million, the company comes near the top of Graham's screen with an NCAV of 0.19. MBL hasn't ruled out further divestments as it seeks to stabilise its remaining operations. CEO Trevor Allan has stressed that the company is committed to recovering and to be fair the MBL board was apparently making efforts to diversify shortly before last year's disastrous events. -------------------- MCap is only 0.7M now so is this even more of a bargain??? | zendik
29/8/2012 14:20 | Giant Steps you must be bonkers imo. I know ADVFN is example of care in the community at work but just ask yourself - what good is that £4m cash if shareholders will never see it? A sceptic might say that that having this board in charge is like having Dracular manage a blood bank or putting John Prescott in charge of the pantry. They have managed to destroy value by buying carp like Media Vault for a price only a lunatic would pay on full moon. Watching Cowgill and the Alens at work reminds me of a kid watching The Marx Brother - this stock is Duck Soup all over again - or perhaps Turkey Soup is more apt! Leopards don't change their spots - £4m could start a nice few restaurants imo. CR | cockneyrebel
29/8/2012 14:07 | IMHO the entire board of this company should be disqualified from being a director here or anywhere else. | tommyjnewton
29/8/2012 13:00 | MUBL Reminders RNS 9th Dec 2011 (interims) At 30 September 2011 the Group had a positive cash balance of £1.6m At 30Nov2011 cash was £0.8m RNS 30th March 2012, purchased 3 businesses for £0.72m RNS 29th August 2012 (finals) ... cash balances £2.7m and no debt. Seems the 2H has left the group with a stronger cash balance sheet vs mcap £0.69m (not to be ignored, no advice intended) | giant steps
29/8/2012 12:52 | Says the man making up limits in STG 10 minutes ago lol | christianf12
