Interest cover last year was 1.79 down from the previous years of 2.05, 2.55 and 2.98 (going backwards).

I'd hope that the debt is being paid down come next results and that this goes back over 2.

TA - ADX reading of 30 whilst breaking out confirming a strong trend, on above average volume, narrow bollinger bands widening, 26 week EMA starting to rise nicely, and 3 consecutive trading closes above 100.

At the last int result it was 1.1b so for a company of this size with 700m turnover its not a great amount.

the advfn figures say it's 1.5bln.

Hard to understand why it's been so low for so long I can only assume it's lack of interest. I would have thought it would have been on more investors radars.

Not a lot after the last rights issue Eric, looking at the bollingers they are getting squeezed also so we may have our breakout soon.

yes after 3 false break outs you may have thought something was bound to happen at some stage.

The chart actually looks more interesting than the daily/weekly and monthly walk up 7 or 8p and then inevitably back down again, which is pretty much all I see when checking the price.

Well if the forecast (annual) div. of 5.79p is paid I would think that we could work out that the yield is about 5.7%.

7.1% yield will be old news by the time 1/9/10 results come out.

Based on an EPS forecast of 9.9p for 1/9/10, the forecast divi is 5.79p. Wonder what the yield will be at current sp?

Next results approx 2/12/10.

I think you'll find just by looking at todays intraday chart that this does indeed suck.

Eric,
A quick look at ADVFN Financials shows MARS on a 7.1% yield (DL f'cast 5.6%)- which in my book does not suck at all and is just the job for my HYP. If you want excitement why not try your hand at AIM stocks ;]

lets hope something else stands out tommorow I'm losing the will to carry on. lol.

it's so boring. Maybe its a ploy to get you into a marsdons pub - the alcohol may provide some relief to the accute and utter mind numbing boredom of this co's shareprice.

as homer simpson would say, this sucks.

well at present the best we can hope for is a range between 97p and 125 for 2011.

I suspect even a decisive break of 100p will not last long lets hope the range mars trades in will simply be raised 25p

I sold my shares in MARS a month ago. I know they give a good divi and yes I feel they are underpriced but things have not changed much in the past couple of years.

I put the proceeds into a couple of oilers where there is price movement and excitement at the expense of security and may I say it boredom.

EssentialInvestor,

Duly noted.
So are you holder of FSTA? If so when did you first get invested.

I have compared the share price appreciation across 5 timescales and FSTA has beaten MARS every time. Hopefully with MARS long-term brewery plans and innovation in dining they can reverse the disparity.
