02/11/2023 09:43 | MARS have just signed a ten year agreement with Stonegate - on what basis will the share price fall to 22p, it looks to have some forward momentum behind it? | waspfactory
01/11/2023 11:37 | I struggle to see that, but I am very tempted to acquire a decent holding here. | my retirement fund
01/11/2023 11:23 | Do not want to catch a falling knife so will wait until mars hits the floor. Could go as low as 22 pence imo. | eeezeeetiger
24/10/2023 09:58 | Boffster maybe it has been noted 🤔 | heatseek77
23/10/2023 14:24 | Stonegate contract appears to be an expansion on an existing contract. Jobs created are in logistics, so any additional brewing will be from existing capacity. Could the extra premium brand sales be at the expense of other CMBC brands. | darrin1471
23/10/2023 13:15 | A company we 40% own strikes a massive deal, the market isn't interested, oh well. Patience needed. | boffster

17/10/2023 13:33 | What's your view on their debt? From their latest update it looks like they will be cash generative next FY and reducing their debt - which is asset backed and a large chunk fixed.Fancy this as a recovery play, albeit high risk. | disc0dave46
17/10/2023 13:26 | Os this the beginning of the end of the very long and painful decline and some green shoots then ? | my retirement fund
16/10/2023 19:01 | Solid finish 👍🏻 | heatseek77

16/10/2023 06:25 | Am waiting to see the fallout from both Ireland and Wales exits from Rugby world cup England progress offers a smattering of hope but will it be enough? But equally expect all like minded leisure companies to be affected Am increasingly tempted but spoilt for choice at moment MAB remains my choice Is my stomach ruling my head ? You bet it is Lets see how it goes these next couple of weeks Good luck | jubberjim
15/10/2023 21:16 | It could be said for a lot of UK companies...seen it all before when there is offer on the table and the BOD refuses to accept it you can bet your top dollar the share price starts to drift lower... | diku
15/10/2023 18:54 | florenceorbis, But it hasn't been "the past 2 to 3 years". MARS has been a serial underperformer for ever - It didn't matter too much when it paid a good divi but investors have had the double-whammy of no divi and a slaughtered share price. As for being "vastly undervalued", well that's what the Board said when they turned down a bid in excess of £1/share not so long ago. And look where the share price is now! If it is undervalued, the issue for shareholders is, how do you extract that value? This Board has had plenty of time to demonstrate that and failed to do so, so either someone else should be given the chance or it should be sold. | jeffian

15/10/2023 13:11 | Given that these are down around 60% in 20 months, and haven't paid a dividend since 2019, on what basis are the board determining whether they are creating sufficient returns for the owners of the business ? Or maybe they aren't doing that in which case perhaps we need a new board ? | dexdringle
15/10/2023 12:32 | I note reports in today's ST that several funds (including Cerberus and Morgan Stanley Real Estate) are circling Stonegate, Britains biggest pub landlord which recently acquired ETI/Enterprise Inns among others. Surely somebody must be looking at MARS too? Whilst MARS is a more complex business - involving brewing, wholesaling and distribution as well as pub ownership - that side of the business could easily be offloaded to Carlsberg who already own half, leaving the pubs to the property guys. Let's hope, because this is going nowhere otherwise. | jeffian
