27/3/2007 15:18 | I know it's been said before, but it takes some fathoming why more NHS Trusts aren't beating their way to the door of this company with the amount of savings they can make.......surely this must happen soon......with the figures they could show off, I would have thought the sales pitch wouldn't be too difficult........if others are already doing it........ | sja123

23/3/2007 12:30 | It's a staggering rise - from 20p late December to mid 50s now - but they do seem to have an offering that the NHS just can't ignore. | njp
23/3/2007 12:10 | Mmmhhh I know i generally talk to myself but i like to remind myself why this is such a great little business..... MAPS Healthroster successfully interfaced with NHS ESR system Manpower Software is pleased to announce that its MAPS Healthroster ward rostering software has been successfully interfaced with the NHS's Electronic Staff Record software, which is being implemented at all NHS Hospital Trusts throughout England and Wales. David Booth, ESR Interface Team Manager, NHS Project Team comments: 'We have been working with the Manpower Software team on interfacing Healthroster with ESR. This has been successfully completed at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust where it is now live, enabling staff to be paid from information provided to ESR directly by their Healthroster rostering product Now read the next bit... 22/3/2007 13:53 | Thanks for the information on Ian Bowles; I am also surprised at the lack of comments. Manpower now at a mid price of 53p. | bostonborn
20/3/2007 17:55 | Hi All Very quiet here bearing in mind this is the first time MNS have broken out over 50p for 7 years !! Anyway..a little information on our new CEO..from the Clearswift website Ian Bowles Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ian Bowles, COO of Clearswift, has over 20 years' experience in international IT, general management, sales management and marketing. Ian's focus is Clearswift's field operations, which includes sales, field marketing and support, and the maintenance of a consistent and appropriate business model worldwide. He is responsible for moving Clearswift further up the value chain and helping to recruit and train partners and Clearswift employees to sell to larger customers. Prior to joining Clearswift, Ian was VP and General Manager EMEA for Interwoven Inc. Before that he spent five years as VP International (Managing Director) of Chordiant Software Inc. and SVP International for Prime Response Ltd {a company successfully floated on the NASDAQ stock exchange before being sold to Chordiant} where he was instrumental in the company's development and growth from a UK services company to a global leader in marketing automation. Ian also spent six years at Oracle UK in a range of sales, channel management and general management roles. He started the General Business Unit in Oracle UK, which focused direct sales on the SME market sector, but fulfilled orders via channel partners. Ian has also worked in sales and general management positions at Informix, Acer Altos, Avenue Legal Systems, Sheer Logic and Rank Xerox. Career chronology: 2004 - present SVP Global Operations, Clearswift 2003 - 2004 VP & General Manager EMEA, Interwoven Inc. 2001 - 2003 SVP International (Managing Director), Chordiant Software Inc. 1998 - 2001 SVP International Operations, Prime Response Ltd I think he will fit in quite well. 09/3/2007 08:42 | deleted posters try posting again and see if it is removed. perhaps an admin error. (If you can remember what your post was about!) | louse
08/3/2007 20:12 | Hi CR Got absolutely no idea why my post was removed either....i never say anything that isnt my own opinion or factual. I would rather ADVFN got in touch with me rather than rudely deleting my post. I am actually quite offended...if i was a premium subscriber i think i would be in touch with them asking what the hell they are playing at. Hope im not getting to angry !! Just think they are bang out of order. Regards Rob | robward
08/3/2007 18:44 | Sorry but WTF was my post removed? Anyway, chart looks on the brink of a breakout :-) (if it's allowed to say this?) CR | cockneyrebel
01/3/2007 21:16 | As a new holder I just wondered whether there was any significance. Given the savings in the NHS that can be achieved I got in because this is the kind of software that actually works and delivers. | cootuk
01/3/2007 21:14 | I doubt Herald are out to make a bid. I do think they might know someone who wants to bid tho and might be acquiring with that in mind. Of course that would be acting in concert and naughty but that has to be proved and is very difficult. Just as it is proving a director bought shares just before a bid materialises but how often does that happen. I'm sure they hear on the grapevine that XYZ is out to make a bid and they buy shares in anticipation before a formal approach a lot of the time. If they don't there's a lot of lucky directors about a lot of the time imo. Still, who cares, Herald are a pretty shrewd tech bunch (is it still run by that Katey Potts bird?) so it's a positive imo. CR | cockneyrebel
01/3/2007 21:01 | Thanks, Rob. Crossed my mind that they might sell to a predator, if there is one. If they've held the stake for years, perhaps they just see it as a long term investment that is about to come good. | diogenesj
01/3/2007 20:55 | Hi DJ Hearld have held a 25% stake for years..just seems they are increasing their position. I would think its highly unlikely they would launch a bid...they are an investment trust company. They may well sell their holding to a potential predator but they wouldnt bid themselves. I personally wouldnt want a bid for Manpower as, after years of establishing the foundations for growth, they are at last winning new business and hopefully will continue to do so. Mr Loveland, Herald, Gartmore and Helium all obviously think so too as they have increased their holdings in the last few weeks. What i like about Manpower is that their software actually makes business more efficient and more profitable and hense even in a slowdown, their software would be in demand. Just my thoughts !!!
