15/9/2003 10:58 | thanks for that cr, will certainly put it in my watch list | ed winchester
15/9/2003 10:56 | Nice results - still looks very cheap based on H2 earnings, still holding. Would you like to see 'really cheap' though? Take a look at Pennant International PEN. These have sales 4 times that of MNS yet the market cap is only 70% of MNS. PEN have also just turned in EPS of 0.69p for H1 and look like turning in greater eps this year than you would expect from MNS next year yet the share price is 22.5p to buy. Revenue growth at MNS is 13% while at PEN it is more like 37% and growing. Sorry to get off topic but I'm sure there's a few of the shrewd value hunters in MNS that might like the look of PEN. 15/9/2003 09:24 | all i can say is WOW !!! up 23% as i write. excellent progress. A massive re-rating is about to happen. 2nd half eps was appx 1.1p. So take conservative estimate of next years eps of 2p. with a forward p/e of 20 (very miserly) gives implied price of 40p (and thats very conservative indeed) | ed winchester

10/9/2003 21:51 | robward well spotted. its odd that they didnt announce it on the lse. as the press release was issued on the 9th : September '03 - British Territorial Army forges ahead with Manpower Software Manpower Software is pleased to announce that HQ Land Command, British Army, has awarded Manpower Software a contract for the supply of force generation software (FORGE) to support future operations by the Territorial Army. The system will also be used for assessment of capability and readiness. For full information, please click on the PDF below. detail : FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9 TH SEPTEMBER 2003 Territorial Army forges ahead with Manpower Software Manpower Software (' MSW') is pleased to announce that HQ Land Command, British Army, has awarded a contract to MSW for supply of force generation software (FORGE) to support future operations by the Territorial Army (" TA"). The system will also be used for assessment of capability and readiness With more accurate and timely information available from a single central data source, decision-making on force generation will be improved and the TA will be able to respond more quickly to demands on its resources. The software helps to ensure that the right people with the right skills are in the right place at the right time. It uses unique timeline-based functionality to allow long-term scheduling and can calculate the balance of supply and demand for both manpower and skills at any point in time. FORGE will also be a tool which will help TA units improve their capability and help to ensure a consistent approach to capability measurement. The software is a highly scalable and resilient solution which will be delivered within the TA's existing technical infrastructure. The new contract builds upon the TA's previous use of Manpower Software's MEDMIS software by its 2 Medical Brigade, Royal Engineers TA and 42 (NW) Brigade. The UK Royal Fleet Auxiliary also recently used the MSW software to plan mobilisation for Iraq. The MSW software, known in commercial applications as MAPS (Manpower Analysis and Planning System), is among the world's leading workforce planning systems. In addition to its use by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, in the shipping sector MAPS dominates crew manning software in cruise shipping. Not only does it hold 55% of the world market (by passenger berths), but it has also been chosen by four of the world's five largest cruise lines. It includes among its customers such well known names as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, P& O Princess and Cunard. MAPS was originally developed for defence applications and is used by NATO in addition to UK customers. MSW has also recently broken into the healthcare market with the first sale of MAPS to a UK National Health Service Trust. ====== It clearly states in the 4th paragraph that its a "new contract". so why wasnt it announced via an RNS ? This is on top of the cotract they were awarded on 1 may 2003 : 01 May 2003 Manpower Software plc announces it has reached agreement for the sale of its software to HQ Land Command, British Army, as the Selection and Mobilisation Management Information System ('SAMMIS') for use within the Territorial Army. The contract has a value of £3.2 million over 5 years. | ed winchester

Good luck to you all, like to know where Felix has got to, I till hold my 100,000 shares, do you Felix ? Best Wishes Rob | robward

03/9/2003 09:48 | Spoke to the company yesterday. FD has had a long standing commitment and has been tied up until very recently so could not put the final touches to the results. He is apparantly back hard at it now and working flat out to get the results out asap. Doubt they will post notice of the results as they are late - just spring them out so could be any day I guess. I'd say within the next two weeks. CR | cockneyrebel

19/8/2003 11:41 | Just bought some and price moved up immediately - but trade not shown. Sometimes it takes up to two hrs for trade to show. On one occasion my buy did not appear till 16.30. This stock is highly illiquid. If you add up the main holings it comes to 103% !!! - duplicated in nominees ? Has anyone got a true figure for this. | asp1
18/8/2003 08:05 | Just bought a top up of these - literally about 1K worth and it was enough to move the price 0.25p - looks like the MMs are running scared......... Looks like they are hiding the trades too..... | carver66
