Hi Rob,

I am sorry this must be the slowest conversation in history!! I have obviously not looked at this for 2 months.

I am wondering whether to buy some more.

Re aviation mkts, I can understand their problem, growing a small business safely & steadily is difficult, so their reluctance makes sense.

The price looks near it's low for now, what do you think? I think I will go for it, I sold out last year when it topped & have bought back in, but it's difficult to judge how much to put into a stock like this.

I suspect it will explode one day, in an upwardly mobile way, but diff to tell when.

Cheers Bryan

Hi Bryan
I have been a shareholder in MNS for over 3 years and have had many chats with the directors over the years, one of these chats was regarding "Flybe" taking some MAPS software. Although MNS would be interested to break into the aviation markets in the future, at present, they feel there is enough milage in their current markets to drive the business forward. I note tonight they have updated their website with an upgraded "Defence" section.

Best Wishes

Yes I agree it's a bit wierd. But they may have agreed the price sometime before actually doing the deal, especially as it involved all directors.

Anyhow clearily the business is doing OK. Just a shame the NHS were not spending £30bn on them rather than quite possibly less necessary & rather complicated systems to help doctors. Makes one wonder how they got things right before xrays arived in digital format etc.

Anyhow MNS have an excellent man management tool. Certainly Br Airways could do with something like this. There crew & passenger booking systems are a mess. I know a supervisor who works in that area who is off sick through the sheer stress of it all. But I am afraid these co's tend to fall in love with their massive bespoke systems & find it difficult to change. Still I am surprised the airlines have not been talking to MNS.

Cheers Bryan

Hi All
Well, todays announcement had me perplexed for all of 10 minutes. A quick check back to last years accounts shows Mr Archibald held exactly 102,562 shares and since he has resigned he has obviously sold his stock. What I am still perplexed about is why he sold to fellow directors when he could have obtained a higher price in the market ???? Oh well, I suppose a few grand here or there doesnt matter to much with some folks !!

Good luck all

Morning All
I see the results are bang in line with expectations, with many new sales opportunities becoming available. It will be interesting to see the forecast for 06, i know that the eps for 05 is 1.8p,according to the figure for 06 will establish the growth of the company and hense we can apply a p/e. Eg if 06 was say 2.7p , growth of 50% then you could expect a p/e of 25 moving forward which would put the share price at between 45p and 67p. Just my thoughts.

Best Wishes

Hi Artful
I still hold all of my original holding which I picked up in Dececmber 2001. According to Wednesday's Independant the results are due out this week and bearing in mind tomorrow is Friday, I guess that means they will appear then. I wait with baited breath, hoping for a good set of results and a positive outlook statement. The appreciation in the share price in the last few days is generally a good sign but I know from experience that the market has a habit of spooking us !! it does concern me that MNS havant announced any new contracts for over 7 months but we will have to wait and see.

Rather quite on here as usual !!!!! Loads of red as the stock ambles south like so many other small cap stocks, however, nice to see some large trades yesterday and a little BLUE !!! Hopefully this bodes well for the future....I'm still holding my original stake...this is my longest ever holding of a stock and I hope eventually it will come good for me. At least I only have to pay tax on 25% of my profit.

Best Wishes to fellow holders

Morning All
Although MNS share price has remained pretty ststic over the past couple of days, the announcement yesterday, I believe, could be hugely significant moving forward. We all know MNS have excellent software which has the potential to cover many industries (although we are only concentrating on 3 at the moment) and the new Chief Operating Officer has previously grown a business from a turnover of $1 to a turnover of $200. Now assuming this guy only improves our sales 10-fold from here, I still feel quite excited going forward on the potential growth of this business. As many of you know I acquired my stock in December 2001 and have not sold a share, I am the Warren Buffett of Southampton (lol !!!!!)
Good luck to all holders

Nice 8p/25% bounce in 5 days, that was from 20 to 26 April.

On its' Bollies again, gone thru' the 100 day MA now.......
but then, in this market.................that's fairdinkum!

If it doesn't hold this, then S=25p it seems, with forward P/E of 15ish....
I'll add if that happens.

Seems to be using 100 day MA and Bollies as a support.
Time to buy for a nice bounce?
Upside 30%?

Hi All
Well its been over a month since anybody posted and what an interesting month it has been !!! We have had a gradual slide in the share price which i assume has forced out all the T+whatever traders and all the weak holders. We had a nice appointment of a Non-Executive Director with plenty of knowledge of Manpowers Military Markets.

However, what I find intriguing is that according to the Company, Gartmore sold 594,000 on 15th April and yet the trade went through on 16th at 33.75p as a "x" trade which indicates another institution took the stock......no RNS as to who the new holder is.

Then more bizzarely today the stock suddenly dropped by 2.5p and then a flurry of trades went through which appeared like sells and yet the price recovered to be only 1p down at the end of the day.

I must confess I am getting a little nervous and would like a contract or two to satisfy the nerves and to ensure this years forecast of 1p earnings is met !!
Then we could look forward to 1.8p next year on a p/e of 20 which would settle the share nicely at 36p.

Enough of my ramblings

Best Wishes

Hi All
Nice to Manpower updating and modifying their software...all the latest news at their website. Sorry nothing more interesting to say...hopefully some more contract wins to come soon. With MNS on a f/w of 25 I doubt we will get any tips from mags etc (thankfully) so its a case of sitting tight waiting for the y/e results.

I must admit, I thought Manpower s/w's price was overpriced due to what I see as a lack of cash - but if directors are buying at this price I'll do a 180 turn! Also shows rather good integrity, of the management - I'm sure they would have prior warning of stakebuilding by Jupiter etc al., but did not act on it - well done.

How did Jupiter manage to get 9% in one go? I don't think they were an existing holder, perhaps they are acting as fund managers for other parties?

A strongly rising share price with lots of rns ann's re holdings, generally suggests a bullish movement of stock into firmer hands.

So I would be very hopeful.

Hi Moneypm
For the record the 2 major shareholders in MNS are Herald with 21% and Bank of New York with 18%. Neither of these shareholders have sold stock in last 6 months. However, beaing in mind the recent strong run in the share price, you wouldnt blame them for taking some profit which indeed many of the smaller fund managers have done. If you read the thread you will see I am a long term holder, I love the software, and will continue to hold whilst the company continues to grow its client list and profit. Also the Chairman bought 1 million shares at 10p and hasn't sold any of his yet !!

P.S My comments are meant tobe informative not a criticism of your comments
