29/1/2014 09:07 | I havent been in the old LPA buildings but they do look tired. I have 3 friends who all work at the site and they are very excited by the move. The old site is approx 0.75 of a mile from the new one. I can look out of my window now onto some of the new buildings, pi55ing down with rain again. | shugmonkey
28/1/2014 21:25 | It shouldn't stewy, as hopefully ShugMonkey can confirm, although as I have mentioned before refurbs and projected timescales! The plan as I understand it is to move in various arms of the business as and when ready. They don't have far in terms of travel and should hopefully be able to work it accordingly. I would think the LPA employees will welcome the new facilities and can't wait to be housed! | hastings
28/1/2014 14:25 | Let's hope it doesn't interfere too much with the business of making their products. | stewy_18
28/1/2014 13:35 | Not a share holder here, but a "local". Looks like building work is well underway at your new site. The munching machines have ripped most of the front off of the old Pedley building this morning. GL | shugmonkey
27/1/2014 17:44 | they should be I agree. I will raise it at AGM | castleford tiger
27/1/2014 08:15 | Cheers Orbit I obviously missed that. I do find it frustrating though that their Key Points in the results are different each year which does make comparisons more difficult than if you have a consistent set of KPI's listed. I believe Order Book and adjusted EPS should be included in that. | cockerhoop
27/1/2014 08:07 | Sept 2013 was 6.5m. From the full year results: "The order book at the end of the year amounted to £6.5m (2012: £10.4m), but this does not include the Intercity Express Programme and at least three other major long term projects for which we have been selected, but for which values are as yet undefined, and which have therefore not been included in the order book." "In December 2013, £2.5m of orders were booked; the highest monthly figure since June 2011 and mainly for UK rail, indicating that the beginning of the end of the refranchising hiatus may be at hand. This surge in orders has continued in January with two important new UK rail orders received." "The current financial year has started quietly, but the order book is firming up strongly, supporting an increasingly buoyant second half and progress in the year as a whole. We still have a factory refurbishment, a business relocation and factory extension to complete, so 2014 is going to be another very busy year, which we look forward to with confidence. The longer term, supported as it is already with major contracts already secured, is potentially very exciting." | 0rb1t
26/1/2014 20:31 | The order book actually appears to be declining: Sept 2011: 12.9m Sept 2012: 10.4m Dec 2013: 7.8m (I can't see figures for Sept 2013 but suspect they've moved the goalposts as they received £2.5m in orders in December) | cockerhoop
26/1/2014 17:59 | Is this company though turning things round? It has picked up some nice contract wins so might be undervalued despite the profit drop. Looks like it has good tie-ins with Hitachi whom I presume to be the market leader. | mach100
23/1/2014 15:27 | Yes, good spot re profit drop. It was masked by the sale of the plot. I will be looking forward to this year. | stewy_18
23/1/2014 15:13 | I picked it up from a brokers note and upon checking it with management it does seem correct. A small uplift in sales can lead to a huge increase . Likewise a dip in sales this year of 720k reduced profits by 360k. Clearly we do not make a 50% margin. Anyway very happy to be here. Tiger | castleford tiger
23/1/2014 10:20 | Interesting insight Tiger. Where did you find that gem that most of LPA's costs are fixed? I am bullish about 2014 and especially 2015. Hopefully operational gearing will kick in if that is the case. Shame LED business "only" grew by 25%. Operating margins were simlar to last year, so LED business doesn't have as much pricing power as I first thought. My pick for 2014 so off to a good start. | stewy_18
23/1/2014 09:49 | Assume EKT with new management?! Agree re operational gearing -tends to be underestimated as a profit driver. | meijiman
23/1/2014 09:24 | 150 target 2014 and beyond that who knows. Cannot see any downside and as most costs are fixed a modest increase in sales leads to a sharp rise in profit. Along with MFX EKT LPA is my share of the year. Tiger dyor as I do have a large position here. | castleford tiger
23/1/2014 09:11 | Meijiman. similar thoughts Had the price of £1 in my mind for short-term target and £1.20 med-term. Just need some publicity and broker recommendations. Could be a big mover this year with new contracts being won. | nickjoseph
23/1/2014 08:56 | Alot of information to digest but the tone is good and the outlook is positive. Short term target of 100p and 150p is not unrealistic during course of the year. | meijiman
23/1/2014 08:46 | That's better now | nw99
23/1/2014 08:20 | Looking set very fair for 2014 and beyond. Particularly pleased with overseas performance. Given that the CEO did something of a business tour in Early December, that should hopefully see further growth. Also good to see a reversal on rail.As for price, not into forecasting, but suffice to say the mkt cps looks very modest. | hastings
23/1/2014 08:16 | Still holding. Thought these were a good set of results with dividend increase. Exports fantastic. The future looks very bright with new contracts won. | nickjoseph
23/1/2014 08:15 | Indeed these will easily by £1.50 a share in a years time, possibly more. | envirovision
23/1/2014 08:03 | Bit of profit taking after a good run | nw99
07/1/2014 10:49 | Hi envirovision, I think results are going to be flat from last year. I have picked them as my share for 2014 as I think business will pick up this year. It depends if you include exceptionals. So without exceptionals I think we are looking at 6.2 pence earning per share (same as last year). That is my hope. I'm really waiting to see what the outlook statement is in the results. I think it will be pretty good, because they have a lot of business lined up for 2014/2015. Not long to wait now. I think the latest price rise is just general small cap exuberence. Regards Stuart | stewy_18
07/1/2014 10:09 | Results in a few weeks, whats expected ? | envirovision |
