HASTINGS
we are not due to move until Spring ( april say) and thats over half way through the financial year.
We also have 850k costs in the results due later this month.

All that said this and the extension at Normanton will provide a springboard for growth.

I still see huge upside in the shares and 2014 i feel will just be the start.

Very good read Stewy.
Tiger, they really shouldn't have too much of a problem with the refurbishment, despite my own reservations when it comes to building matters!
The early work is focused on removing the asbestos, but they know exactly what they are dealing with and the rest is really stripping out within the shell and upgrading.
Guess we will all have to wait and see how things progress, but looks a solid oportunity going forward if things come together as hoped.

Yes the 10p will include the excp gain.

Having just glanced at you blog I cannot see anything that jumps out.
However I would caution that much of the building work has yet to be started.
Therefore 2014 may well also be a year like 13.

That said I think 8/10p trading profit is ok and after that you could see rapid growth of 50/60% a year for 2 or 3 years.

I love buying the dips here.

I am putting LPA on my TIPS of the year along with MFX,HSP,EKT and a few more that I am still working on.
I will not be happy unless the TIPS produce at least 50% return.

Has anyone got the latest broker notes here? I am doing my write-up for the NFSC over on the fool and I just saw the - predicted EPS for this year was 10 pence! (Sorry CT,I stand corrected).

Anyway has anybody got a copy so I can do this write-up and not look like a plonker when the final results come out!!

Thanks in advance

Stuart

I think Stewy hits it about right, they already flagged that this year would be similar to last year. Some people have looked at the EPS forecast but it includes the exceptional profit on the land. This story is really more about next year and beyond which is what has also been mentioned before.

Have managed to sneak a look at the weekend's SCSW - it had a small write up on LPA, saying future growth looks good, only one broker follows it so the story is not yet appreciated, good time to tuck a few away.

Not sure results are going to be anything special. The main driver for this year was the sale of their Saffron Walden factory site. They said that it was a difficult Q3 picking up in Q4, so not sure how this one will play out. This should hopefully do well next year but we will see.

From the cambridge news
2. LPA may well be issuing a pre-close trading update shortly ahead of its preliminary results due early in the new year. Naturally, following my recent visit to the HQ, I will be keeping a close eye on this one. The shares are currently up 5p as I write to 67p.
