Aye! If you say so.

Or just perhaps I'll look into what's been amassed in the near 3 years TC's been at the helm!

Not a lot. Perth still needing appraisal e.g.

Falklands,

If there is a tanker in transit with $3m of cargo, that would equate to roughly 30,000 barrels, of which 3,000bbl , or ~$300K, less Gemini contribution; so either $150K or $240K depending upon they have passed the first $14m threshold or not; then less operating cost would be due to LHD. So, not that material in the scheme of things.

CT, re: 1668, OK I see where you are coming from now. 15% =~ £32m so 10% =~ £21m.

Bear in mind the LHD transaction is later, so buying less oil, and there was some finessing of the TRAP deal where effectively some of the consideration was paid out of production revenues.

Also, note this:

"-- Acquisition of a 15% working interest in the Athena producing oil field completed on 21 December 2012 at a renegotiated lower effective acquisition cost of GBP21.8m."

TRAP final results where they say the effective cost was £21.8m. I think essentially they paid £21.8m in cash, and the balance was covered by production revenue and inventory that was sold shortly after completion; but I must admit that I lost track a bit of the intricacies of that deal.

Bomfin it's left to good old Chris to clean up the bloody mess and no consultancy fee.

If TC ups the offer then it doesn't say much for the lhd directors imho.
What a shambles. I'd say those fighting their corner have shown some guts. Odds on that they'll be proved wrong but I get the feeling they don't even care about that! imho

So perhaps the 70% odd who want to get out might have to sell cheap to the 30% odd who want to hang in there if they are so desperate to get out?

Market not expecting a higher bid that's why stock is down

What I don't understand, although it may well have been the topic of earlier posts that I just haven't got the time to catch up on, is why our share price has dropped when the possibility of a higher bid must be quite real. Normally, in such circumstances the share price goes higher than the value of the initial bid. Presumably the market reckons neither a higher bid nor indeed a counter-bid is likely as otherwise the current share price is a no-brainer buy.

Well, it looks like a done deal just about(rejection of offer). Must confess I'm quite surprised but pleased about that.

Looks like TC needs to up the ante now or walk away from it. I reckon there's room for a better offer from him and he still ends up with decent value/prospects. Fingers crossed and all that....

Given that Cornhill have disclosed all those people with 1m shares or more who are part of their "no" consortium, it will be interesting to know which one of them is Chrisoil/Falklands, who has I think said on here he has interests in more than 1m shares.
