:o)) Better late than never....but it's encouraging that he finds LOQ so exciting at this particular stage given the rise in the share price over the last 2-3 years.

Leigh Himsworth is manager of the Eden UK Select Opportunities fund at City Financial. This was his diary entry for 18 December 2012:

¨Wednesday It is a bit colder today, meaning all of the 'southerners' will be dressed as if it is the Antarctic. I will open the window on the train and watch as they wonder in horror where the draft is coming from. The pleasure of this will be combined with a sales meeting today with a discretionary fund manager, a part of the job which I thoroughly enjoy. The afternoon comprised primarily of a company meeting with a potentially exciting business called Lo-Q that are involved in something close to my heart – improving the experience at theme parks by reducing queuing time. Exactly the sort of company I like to find, where they have an innovative idea that has global potential, the sort of thing at which the UK excels.¨

He has only sold twice to my knowledge and is still the major shareholder.

You would need to ask him personally but after 15 years of developing a product and seeing highs and lows with new management now taking it to a much higher level I think I would be happy relaxing and enjoying some of the fruits of my labours !

LOQ director remuneration was very low in the early years and LS had much of his personal wealth tied up totally in the company I suspect. He is a very nice guy and always attends the Agms with his wife and answers shareholders frankly. Without putting too fine a point on this...Age and health are key. The executive chairman who retired two years ago was over 70 and he sold his holding but the share price has nearly tripled since !

You cannot spend share certificates and you cannot sleep well if you have all your eggs in one basket ! I have so many eggs that I spend all my money on baskets though ...lol. LOQ has certainly been my golden egg mind you. Why not join us at a presentation or the Agm in March?

Does anyone know why Leonard Sim keeps selling shares? Like this company, just wondering why a director is selling a few here and there

Good spot. Presumably that includes sites currently only using accesso products... ...many of whom may be potential clients for LOQ's queuing products.

Spud...I would love to but their other meetings will inevitably be in London and 80% of the population are within three hours travel so can make a day trip to London easily enough. I live in Kent so just accept that London is where most meetings will be held. You could always come to the Agm in March which will be closer for you.
That said I am trying to arrange some Mello events in the north through WH Ireland but it does take much more arranging as some companies want confidence that investors will attend if they are travelling hundreds of miles to present etc

Cheers davidosh. I can make the Tuesday or Wednesday, but not the Thursday or Friday, and I'd like to catch up with TB and yourself.

Any chance of a Midlands do for once? It would be nice to meet the man having spent time talking to him on the phone. Not to mention that i'm sure that they do have some quite large shareholders up here..

The results release date has just been announced for Tuesday 14th February so if any of you long termers are keen for me to arrange a presentation in the days after then I am sure TB and the team will be pleased to give us an hour in the City. I am particularly keen to meet Steve Brown and get to know more about assesso. I may even arrange a short presentation at one of our Mello events.

They've spent so much money developing their own 'in house' system that I guess they will just bite the bullet. However, they will never have full functionality without absorbing Lo-Q..What will they ultimately do? Well, 3 of the 4 accesso Directors are ex Disney so it does make for a compelling scenario should they decide to go down that route. Personally, I've always believed that Tom et al have a medium term exit strategy but whether that involves Disney or not depends on price.spud

I've held these for some time and have a chunky holding at no cost, however, I don't pay as much attention to this board as I should: are peeps suggesting that Disney cannot perform at best without having LOQ absorbed ?

Excellent. Allow Disney to fund their own PR, and borrow free references to Disney's enthusiasm for the overall concept in all LOQ press reports ;o)

I mean Steve Brown was quoted in the news articles highlighting the Disney news. My source says pretty much the whole accesso team are ex Disney and very highly regarded so perfect for talking to prospective customers about systems that combine with LOQ current technology and offer everything that Disney are now showcasing as the way forward.

Great research davidosh, cheers.

When you say "LOQ were mentioned prominently and had comments from Steve Brown readily available", do you mean mentioned by the Disney insider you spoke to, and that the insider knew of Steve Brown and of accesso's services?

As I have found out doing a little DD...Steve Brown has a team full of ex Disney guys. I think we made a great combo deal there. You have to hand it to TB...he knows exactly how to build a good team and big business.

With Steve Brown working for Disney for over 16 years no better candidate with the knowledge, only a matter of time i would have thought.

Woweeee...A Disney insider that is reliable has informed me that Disney have spent over £1 billion on their new loyalty wristband system and LOQ can provide probably 80% of it and more with their queuing applications for all the other theme park owners and leisure attractions for free.

Where Disney go others will be watching and of course as they have the largest number of guests there will be an expectation that the service they provide will need to be the level of experience that others will try to replicate as standard,... without the Disney characters of course !

The pure fact that LOQ were mentioned prominently and had comments from Steve Brown readily available suggests that this is going to be exceptionally good for the company. In other words if there is a 'We want one of those' mentality then LO-Q get the next call as Disney are 'in house' only.

Posted on another thread - apparently LOQ was featured as a New Buy in the issue of Techinvest just out. Hope the poster doesn't mind me copying it:

"AISHAH 9 Jan'13 - 00:17 - 2443 of 2444 0 0

Yes, LOQ gets a New Buy. They comment that current valuation is well supported by growth prospects and synergies from the transformational acquisition in the US. "Buy before the market fully wakes up to the benefits of the accesso acquistion" On my watch list now."
