02/1/2013 11:38 | LOQ over 400p...wow.... keeps going up....(but the rating is a bit expensive for me) (on the ski queue topic BTW....there are imo many options to use smartphones to get rid of ticket buying queues....which I expect will be rolled out this winter...and the queues could be a memory (for smart phone owners anyway) .....while skiers have their coffee after travelling to any ski resort they could receive an APP via wi-fi and sign up and pay for day ski pass.....(and a physical machine would then talk to their phone and issue a paper ski pass)...and/or maybe no paper ski pass and just have wi-fi at each ski lift turnstile and it interrogates each smartphone to see if they have paid and I guess lots of similar queuing applications.... (imho cant patent the use of smartphones in queuing applications unless invention is included, good design or useful application can not be patented imo...but first mover would have big advantage, once installed and working then it is difficult to get that contract away to other supplier...but there will imo be price competition, over time when there are various systems available.....) (instead of a smartphone (for payment checking at turnstiles) another option may be an RFID tag that is capable of operation up to say 30m....instead of a paper ski pass)...so many options nowadays that technology is so 'clever' | markt

01/1/2013 22:08 | I would advise a new calculator for the new year :-) | westcountryboy
01/1/2013 21:18 | If my calculations are right then its £2m gain in a year! I'm impressed. Makes my investment seem tiny. These are my largest investment in my SIPP with an average buy price of 47p - I've thought of selling some but cant think of anywhere better to put the proceeds. | 2cbg
31/12/2012 20:05 | Here here David. My investment in LO-Q rose by circa £31 per hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during 2012..Thanks guys & looking forward to a similar performance during 2013.No pressure then.. :-)) | spud
31/12/2012 14:08 | davidosh - I second all that. And a special welcome to the new arrivals at LOQ - you've got a lot to live up to! | supernumerary
31/12/2012 12:27 | Just on sentiment and because it is my largest and most successful company holding I decided to make my last trade in 2012 a purchase of LOQ at 388. The share price has doubled in each of the last two years and with the recent news I think there is every chance of another very successful year. A happy new year to all holders, directors, staff and friends of this wonderful UK success story. | davidosh
29/12/2012 12:08 | One of the mags (can't remember which - sorry) has tipped this which has probably helped too considering average daily volume tends to be quite low compared to company capitalisation... | alphabeta4
28/12/2012 21:28 | I have a feeling that the acquisition has enabled our friends across the pond to invest as previously Accesso was not listed. This could account for some of the recent rises.spud | spud
28/12/2012 19:29 | Sounds like we are building a first class world class company here with the ability of attracting thousands of customers. ff The Corridor: Lo-Q purchases Accesso The virtual queuing giant "Lo-Q" makers of the QBot and other various systems currently in use by Six Flags, Cedar Fair, and even recently Universal Orlando has purchased the point of sale company Accesso who handles ticketing operations for parks such as Cedar Fair and Six Flags. "Pairing Accesso's award-winning ticketing and e-commerce portfolio with our virtual queuing systems is a real game-changer and vaults us into position as the worldwide leader in revenue-driving solutions for the global attractions industry," said Tom Burnet Lo-Q CEO. "Accesso's technologies were a major draw for us, but the biggest factor in our decision was the company's outstanding leadership and team of innovative employees dedicated to delivering world-class customer service and outstanding results for their clients." This is terrific news for not only the parks but also the consumer at various parks including the Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks as it means the two companies being under one umbrella will be able to combine technologies in the ever growing mobile market and internet commerce which will make it easier for the parks later on. Currently they have to purchase both of them on different contracts but might be able to bundle the ticketing, point of sale, and virtual queuing systems into one cheaper program and pass on the savings to the consumer, or at least not raise prices on the Q-Bot technology for a while. While we don't have any photos of the Accesso both at IAAPA we dd stop by to hear about their services, here are two from the Lo-Q booth who was showing off not only the Q-Bot but also their new smart phone app version. Six Flags is the only place I have physically seen the little Q-Bot remotes.
